《MY Life In The Multiverse》Chapter 171: Marine Headquarters

"Yuki Chibana, we finally meet" Spoke Sengoku calmly…
Yuki didn't reply right away and took in the scene around him first, they were sitting in Sengoku's office.
He will have to make the final decision since he was the fleet admiral regarding if he could be accepted as a warlord or not. However, they weren't alone in the room since Garp, Kizaru and Vice Admiral Tsuru were also here along with some other vice admirals that were currently present in HQ…
"Eh, it's not like you've known me for long to say that" responded Yuki while tilting his head and Kizaru's mouth couldn't help but widen instinctively before he said "You are quite the confident fella aren't you?"
"Hmm?" Yuki shot Kizaru a silent look causing the air between them to instantly grow tense, but Vice admiral Tsuru, Garp and Sengoku's childhood friend quickly scolded the lazy-looking admiral "Kizaru, don't start causing trouble with the youngster"
"Sorry sorry…" Spoke Kizaru while raising his hands dramatically, but Yuki could tell that he wasn't really sorry, so his eyes shined wickedly for an instant before he faced Sengoku again who shot Garp a look, only to find him lost in his own world of eating crackers making him frown before he shrugged and said
"To answer your question, I indeed didn't know of your existence for a long time, in fact very few people probably knew of it…"
Yuki's eyes narrowed slightly as he could see a sharp light shining in Sengoku's eyes "I wonder, what's your relation with Dragon and the revolutionary army"
"It seems like Smoker doesn't know how to keep his mouth shut huh? I should visit him later..." spoke Yuki with a sigh before he smiled innocently and said "I got nothing to do with them, I was interested in going to a certain place back in east blue and Dragon helped me out since I knew his son, that's all… we split up after that"
Sengoku and the others were instantly able to tell that Yuki wasn't telling the full truth, but something suddenly attracted their attention "That Dragon has a son?" It was a vice admiral wearing a white and purple pinstripe suit and his black hair was fashioned into a mohawk. This was vice admiral Momonga!
"Well, Garp over there can answer this question for you" Replied Yuki with the same innocent smile still on his face, and seeing everyone staring at him except the few that knew of his history, Garp directly replied with a simple "What? You think this old man doesn't deserve to have a grandson?"
The room instantly froze when they heard this and Yuki couldn't help but applaud Garp in his head 'What a genius, he diffused that bomb of a question right away by giving them a nuclear answer, indeed, if anyone says anything now they will have to talk to his fists, and none of them would want that… Tsk these old guys are all cunning no matter how careless they appear'

….
After this incident, Yuki had to deal with a few rounds of interrogations but the marines didn't find anything bad on his record, in fact, his record was almost nonexistent and he did more good than bad in what they know.
So, Sengoku even proposed for him to become a marine directly and forget about being a pirate, to which Yuki calmly responded with a fuck you in his head and a no from his mouth…
"I will send the final report to the world government, they will be the ones to make the final decision if you are to be accepted or not… However, I believe they won't have problems with it with my recommendation" Spoke Sengoku calmly and Yuki simply responded with a nod and said
"That's good to hear, I will stay here for a while until the news comes out of me becoming a warlord, I hope that would be fine"
"Hehehehe" Garp suddenly burst out in evil laughter after Yuki said this, but he suddenly realized that he was being loud so he stopped which made Sengoku frown, but then his face turned into an evil smile as he said
"Sure, Garp here will be glad to take care of you…"
"Ah NO! I don't want to spend another day with this little devi-" Garp tried to protest but Yuki instantly cut him off and smiled widely before he said "Sure! I will be in your care, old man"
"I'm sure you two will get along just fine" Said Sengoku while patting Garp before he left the office, then leaving after him, Tsuru said with a smile "Good luck with what you brought back..."
"Not even you, Tsuru-chan…" Garp couldn't help but stare at the youngster who was staring innocently as everyone made their leave, but just as they were the only ones in the room, that innocent smile turned into a wide devilish grin before he said "Now then, how about we start with a tour of all the valuable places I could rob… Ahum I mean loan some items from"
'Fine, you want to play dirty with me Sengoku, don't regret it' Thought Garp before he said through his gritted teeth while staring at the devil in front of him "Follow me" then he started moving to the marine quarters to help him settle down…
….
The marine quarters were split into different areas depending on ranks, however, there were some exceptions for that, and one such exception for that was Garp! The old bastard actually lived in the quarters designed for the fleet admiral and admirals!
Yuki was dumbfounded at the luxury… it had everything, training grounds, library, special areas to train Haki, and so on, so he insisted to stay with Garp no matter what by threatening that he will wreck the place if this demand wasn't met…

Yuki couldn't wait to test all the facilities, but he was suddenly interrupted from his fantasies when the annoyed Garp suddenly said "I will ask for some unlucky soul to help you get around marine ford later, go settle down in one of the empty rooms first, I'm busy right now"
Seeing Garp running away from him as if he was avoiding a plague, Yuki simply snorted before he turned around and started walking inside to huge house while muttering "I wonder where I will find the fullest room…"
If Garp heard him say this, he would have gotten a heart attack...
…
As Yuki was making his way through the many empty but well-maintained rooms, he suddenly felt a little sad for the old man "what's the point of having such a big house if there are no people to fill it with…"
However, just as he was thinking about helping Garp with that problem, he suddenly found himself in front of a room with a sign on its door that said 'Don't enter'
"Eh? Something is telling me I should enter this room… umu this must be fate" Muttered Yuki before he completely ignored the sign and directly entered the room.
To his surprise, it seemed like a simple study with a small bookshelf, a desk with a closed book on it and a small bed to the side "This is probably the smallest room I entered so far… How weird"
Yuki checked the title of the book on the desk and it made his eyes widen slightly "Liar Noland, why's Garp reading this kind of book?" Muttered Yuki to himself, but he suddenly recalled the story of this man Noland and he couldn't help but think 'The Strawhats should be making their way to sky island by this point huh… What a weird coincidence… or is it?'
As countless thoughts flashed through Yuki's head, he turned his attention to the bookshelf and started reading the book titles there…
'Rokushiki Manual, Armament Haki Manual, Observation Haki Manual, Brag Man, Devil Fruit Encyclopedia, Living Things, Laws of Justice, How to cook the best meat…'
'Damn, when did this bull-headed idiot become literate? Is the sun going to rise from the west next?' wondered Yuki, but he suddenly felt something dangerous rushing at him, and without even thinking, he barely waved his hand randomly over one of the books and stored it in his space ring before a punch landed on his back and sent him flying out of the room while crashing through many houses including Akainu's but he wasn't there so it didn't matter…
"Didn't you read the sign?" Spoke a voice from above Yuki and it shook his heart slightly as he thought 'How quick!'
However, he pretended to be in pain before apologetically saying "Sorry, I actually can't read"
"Eh?" Garp felt some of his brain cells dying when he heard this answer, but he quickly regained his calm and said "Well, now you know… Plus, I got you someone to show you around the place" Before he turned around and left and Yuki finally was able to see that someone else was standing in front of Garp's house… It was Tashigi who was staring at them awkwardly…
"Are you okay, Yuki-san?" She asked worriedly and Yuki calmly dusted his clothes before he said with a smile "I'm fine, don't worry… How come you became my guide?"
Tashigi let out a helpless sigh and responded "No one else wanted to do it, so it somehow fell on me…"
"Eh… It seems like Smoker and the others don't miss me, guess I will give them a visit later" Spoke Yuki with an evil grin which made Tashigi gulp slightly in fear before she started leading him away…
…
Meanwhile, back in the small study room, Garp was currently staring at the giant human-shaped hole Yuki's body made while clenching and opening his hand repeatedly with a frown on his face and he couldn't help but mutter "That kid's body… he clearly didn't defend himself with Haki yet my punch did nothing to him…"
"Garp-san, he took away that book at the last second, would you like me o go take it away from him?" Spoke his friend Bogard calmly after staring at the bookshelf for a while, but Garp simply shook his head and said "That book isn't important, he will probably find another way to get it, however, I will make sure he pays for its full price with my fists… Finally, there's another challenge to train my Haki"
Garp's eyes had a youthful and exciting glow in them as his hands became black and he couldn't wait to beat the crap out of Yuki until he breaks through his defense! And it made Bogard smile slightly as he thought 'I guess the price of the Rokushiki book is already being paid…'
