《Fate》~Chapter 63~

"What do you mean Jimin proposed to Y/N?" Jin stood flabbergasted in the doorway, along with everyone mirroring the same expression as him.
Yoongi, who was beside him all this time, slowly entered the room. "What's going on here?" He stopped a sufficient distance from the said duo with his arms crossed.
The other followed him into his room as well.
The suspense and air in the atmosphere were so thick that you could cut them with a knife. Both Jimin and Jungkook didn't know what to speak, or rather, were waiting for each other to reply.
"Why do you have this letter, Jimin? Jungkook? You didn't give it to Y/N?" Jin abruptly presented a series of questions, pointing to the pink paper in Jimin's hand.
Jimin's nose scrunched up over Jin's questions.
He knows..? He thought to himself.
"yah you two speak up!" Hobi added.
Jimin was going to say something when,
"letter to Y/N? First propose, now Letter, Jungkook? What's going on?" Tae interrupted.
"GUYS! let them answer, Jimin you go first. No excuses. We need an answer." Namjoon stepped up and spoke with a stern voice, directed toward the younger. Everyone was confused. And they wanted answers.
"I found this letter in Jungkook's room." Jimin took his stand confidently. All his nervousness was long gone, and all he wanted was to get things clear, anyhow.
Without missing a second, he continued, "he has written a love letter intended for Y/N! And hasn't even told any of us!"
How come he likes Y/N and still ignored her as if...Jimin was getting agitated by that thought. Not only for Y/N but for Jungkook as well, who was hurting himself too.
"AND why would I when you have told none of us about YOU AND Y/N!? I saw you proposing to her with my own eyes!" Jungkook whisperer yelled as a lone tear trickled down his face.

Jimin mirrored his expression as he raised his voice a bit as well. "You know what! Yes, I DID propose Y/N! AND she rejected me! Do you know why? Because she HAS someone in his heart and do you want to know who? It's YOU Jeon Jungkook! It's YOU whom she has fallen for!" He shook the younger's shoulders as Jungkook's eyes went wide.
"W-what..?" He murmured.
The others were silently watching them from afar, not wanting to interrupt. Though it was a lot to take in, they gave the duo their time.
"Y-yes Kook! She told me herself how much she likes you...the same way you do. Yes, I indeed liked her. I confessed my feelings to her, but her heart was already taken by someone, and that's you. I don't know how much you listened to my confession that day, but she never ever said 'yes' to me." He said in a broken voice.
"I-I overheard her talking with Eunji when I went out with Tae a few days ago. She was so hurt because you were apparently ignoring her. And then I finally found this letter," Jimin chuckled before continuing, "in which you have clearly confessed to her."
"I-I" Jungkook buried his face in his palms, "I thought you both were a t-thing hyung. I didn't want to hurt her, but I tried to be away from her because I was afraid. I-I didn't want to come between you tw-.." Jimin quickly engulfed him in a hug. Jungkook was on the verge of a breakdown because he misunderstood situations. He made wrong actions in the control of his emotions. He was feeling guilty now.
"Shh, it's okay Jungkook-ah, let's not dwell anymore on the past? Shall we?" He patted the younger's shoulder as Jungkook tightened his arms around Jimin.

Jungkook nodded in the hug.
"Now finally this punk has come on track," Jin shook his shoulders before he went up and hugged Jungkook from behind.
"Can't believe Jungkookie is grown up so much." Hoseok wiped his fake tears before joining them in a hug.
One by one, everyone surrounded the duo in a group hug.
"Sleep well Jungkook-ah, and tomorrow we will figure out everything!" Yoongi patted Jungkook's back as he made his way out of the room.
"Everything is finally in its place, so just believe, okay? Also, we have a recording tomorrow. Rest properly." Namjoon showed his dimpled smile.
"Ne hyung!" Jungkook replied as he bowed a little.
Everyone had talked a bit more and concluded to talk about it tomorrow properly after recording and the interview. After all, this time, Jungkook wanted to propose to Y/N face to face.
Everyone bid each other goodbye and made their way to their respective rooms, whereas JK closed the door of his room.
Y/N...
She really loves me?
I...
Does she really reciprocate my feeling?
He chuckled to himself before his eyes caught the device on his nightstand. He made his way to his phone, quickly opening his chat with Y/N.
I'm sorry Y/N. I didn't mean to hurt you at all.
I should have at least asked Jimin hyung or you, myself.
He thought as he sighed. He contemplated sending a message.
Just do it now, Jungkook.
He pressed the send button.
[ Y/N, I'm really sorry for not replying earlier. I shouldn't have left you like that. I missed you.}]
The single tick mark appeared, showing the message wasn't sent.
12:25...must be sleeping.
He kept his phone again on the nightstand. He changed his clothes and slouched in his bed. His heart was at ease and slowly he drifted off to dreamland.
Meanwhile,
Jimin opened his room's gate, only to see Taehyung already roaming in his room. Taehyung smiled as he saw him, whereas Jimin closed the door behind him.
"What are you doing here Tae?" Jimin asked. His eyebrows scrunched up as he saw an extra pillow and blanket on his bed with a zootopia nick print.
"I'm crashing into my best friend's room tonight." Taehyung shrugged before he approached Jimin.
Suddenly he hugged Jimin, which took the latter off guard. But soon he melted into his embrace as he, of course, wanted comfort at that moment.
"You went through so much alone Jimin-ah..." Tae murmured.
"I'm fine, Tae. I have moved on already." Jimin patted his buddy's back and was about to break the hug, but Taehyung tightened his arms around Jimin more.
"No, you're not fine, Jimin. You can fool everybody, but not me."
That was it when Jimin broke down in front of his soulmate.

THIS FICTION HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED. I don't recommend reading this, since the chapters are a bit haphazard (containing new edits which don't really fit in with the latter half of the story).

The Depths of Magic
Synopsis It's the year 2052 and the release of the new next-generation full-dive VRMMO game called The Depths of Magic is hitting the world by storm. The game's technology will surpass all other games before it and shock the masses. Hector who goes by the name Locke inside the game is an experienced player of the genre. He is looking to continue his goal of enjoying gaming as well as the competition that goes along with competing for the top ranking spots. Novel Summary The Depths of Magic is a LitRPG novel focused on a Fantasy VRMMO setting. This is not a harem novel. In-Game systems The Depths of Magic features state-of-the-art technology never before seen in Hector's world. The key system the novel will bring up often is the Second Brain. The Second Brain system is more like a guidance AI for the players in the game that acts as if you had a second brain assisting your every action. How much guidance this AI will give is based on its experience or mastery skills a player will receive in the game. The guidance is seamless to a point where a player won't even realize they are being assisted, it's will feel like what they are doing is something they could always do. However, once they leave the game it will become quite apparent that they were receiving heavy guidance. The purpose of this system in a writing sense is to explain why a player can realistically become more powerful, more agile, or more skilled than they would otherwise be able to as a human. To give an example if someone could move faster than a bullet, how would a normal human brain be able to perceive and control this movement properly. Or how could a player who has never held a sword before become as experienced as someone who has trained with the sword all their lives? The magic system will be another focus of this novel. I don't want to spoil anything here but it should be an interesting one. The hope is that the system I have made will spark discussion between the readers on what combinations will do what. I already have most of it, but it will be fun to read as the author. Side notes My general focus for this novel is to attempt to make the in-game systems make sense. To give a vague example I have read a lot of novels of this genre and some have the habit of just creating such powerful items that it just breaks the system, and somehow the MC keeps finding challenging situations even with those items. What tends to happen when I read a novel like this I just ignore the stats of the items he is getting because the numbers don't even matter anymore. Release schedule: The chapter release schedule due to real-life complications is to release as I write them. Patreon setup: 1 chapter early release/discord access. Free content up to the current chapter includes an excel sheet that contains Locke's current stats at the end of the chapter. This is extra information for those that are interested.
