《The Solitary Sword Sovereign》A Welsh Greeting

"There is nothing ahead of us. As far as physical entities are concerned, there are none ahead of us. I couldn't even detect a single hint of qi or mana."
Taiga, the ninja, gave his report to Alexa when he got back onto the eagle. "This is troubling," Alexa said as she fell deep into thought.
"Boss, something happened!" Yelled Gabby. Alexa looked forward to seeing what she was on about, only to be stunned. The clouds in the sky and the waters below parted, to form a path of sorts. Within that path, the skies were clear with no storms ahead.
"It seems someone has finally invited us in." The white-robed man with the scimitar finally spoke. He stood up and gazed at the path, his eyes filled with trepidation.
Alexa turned to the white-robed man and said, "Ibrahim, what do you think we should do?"
Ibrahim brandished his scimitar forward. His actions spoke of his intentions. Alexa looked at Gabby giving her the nod. Gabby smiled wryly and patted her eagle, urging it to go forward. The animal agreed, but as it flew into the path ahead, everyone on its back could feel that it was clearly vexed.
…
After about an hour of flying, the eagle made it out of the designated path, with Miami clearly in sight.
The crew looked back, only to see nothing. Indeed, nothing. Just clear skies and calm waters, as if they had traveled a normal path the whole time. The bird calmed down and squealed in delight. Gabby smiled and patted it's head while Alexa fell deep into thought. Within moments the bird neared the beach which Will and Letty were on.
"So that's our new boss eh? Doesn't seem like much." Said Merlin as she pouted. There was still quite a large distance between the bird and the beach, but everyone on the bird had extraordinary eyesight.

"Alright Merlin, since you are skeptical, why don't you send our new boss a greeting." Merlin raised a brow at Alexa, but this only lasted for a moment. Alexa's duty was to make sure that the group acted as a unit and followed Will properly, so she would not get this chance again in the future.
"With pleasure."
Merlin raised her staff and started chanting. Within moments, swords of fire were conjured all around them. Thousands of flaming swords covered everyone's sights, causing the temperature to get high.
"Flame sword rain!" With those last words, Merlin targetted Will and sent all ten thousand swords at Will.
Alexa frowned at this. She believed this to be overkill, nevertheless, she was still curious. Who caused the earlier phenomenon? Was it Solitary? And if so how did he do it? As far as she was concerned he should be around level 50.
'This attack shouldn't kill him, but just to make sure.'
"Taiga, Merlin overdid it, make sure the kid doesn't die." With a grunt, Taiga disappeared into the void. Alexa stared at Merlin, clearly not impressed.
"What? This is how we greet each other in Wales." Said Merlin with a sly grin. Alexa shook her head and peered forward, curious to see how Will would react. The others were also somewhat curious but didn't have much hope. They expected Taiga to intervene, after all, he was only level 50, what could he possibly do?
…
"Master, it seems our guests have arrived."
"Indeed, and by the looks of it, they seem to have quite an interesting way of greeting us."
Will and Letty could make out the swords being conjured. Letty frowned and looked toward her master, curious to see how he would handle this. She had no doubt that he could easily thwart the attack, the only question was how?

'Will he use the formation? Or will he use some sort of intent? Maybe he will use the water ahead of us.'
Will was not intending to use the city's formation, nor was he planning on using intent. He was actually planning on using a new technique he had recently come up with.
Will had had some small success in analyzing the SSS manual and gained some ideas on techniques he could use. He had used his time in the dungeon to experiment on these ideas, but now was the perfect time to test one.
"Letty stand back."
Letty headed Wills warning and stood back in anticipation. Will walked to the beach with his hand stretched out.
"I am the lone arrow that strikes at the heavens and yet knows no redemption." Said Will. His voice sounded ethereal and deep. Resonating with the surroundings. Despite the fact that Alexa and co were still miles away, they heard his words clearly. At that moment the swords only need to traverse a mile or so to reach Will.
'Master is chanting?'
According to Letty's knowledge, chants were only used when one wanted to bring out their full power in the particular field they were trying to exploit. As Will chanted, a column of water rose up ahead of him, in other words, this would be a full power water type attack from Will.
"I seek the void as I traverse the finite. I seek the infinite as I walk down the path. Seek ye truth but seek not a fallacy, for I seek not fulfillment, only the dao"
As Will chanted, his hand reached into the column of water. The qi around Will became frantic, kicking up a torrent of wind around his. The waters around Will seethed and boiled, forming all sorts of odd phenomenon as if the god of the seas himself was furious.
Will pulled out a katana made from water from the column. The more of the sword he pulled, the more the qi around him became berserk. Letty had to cover her face and mobilize all the mana she could, in fear of being blown away. By the time Will had pulled the sword out, the entire beach was covered in cloud cover, without a single ray of sunlight penetrating the sky above.
Will's face was deadpan as his eyes focused. He gripped the katana with both hands and focused on the rain of swords coming forth with unbridled fury. Within 10 seconds, the swords would burn the entire beach.
"Solitary Sword Sovereign, first concept,"
Will took a step and swung down.
"Sword Kaiser!"

Lost Things
"In this disordered continent, where everyone seeks to be the heroes of their own tales, there are still some rooms for smaller stories to breathe." "Past, present, and future—keep your eyes open, and see where they lead you to." This story follows three housemates’ lives: Carson Calding, Virgil Barion, and John Salore—onto their adventures of finding Carson’s past, Virgil’s present, and John’s future. Despite their clashing backgrounds and circumstances that forced them together, they’re definitely going to find the things they had lost, for sure. Each entire chapter will be updated biweekly. There'll be three smaller parts per each chapter. Note that this story was written to be an interactive one, with polls at the end of each parts deciding on what happens next. Though, the polls for this story won't be available on Royal Road updates. (I also upload this in Arcane Odyssey forum, and it's currently the only place where I open the polls and use the poll results from.)
