"I am sorry, guys, it is impossible. I didn't make the rules." The Students' Representative in the Faculty of Medicine informed Tyson and Nadia at one of the university's laboratories. He was almost surprised when the two freshers came to him requesting to use the laboratory. Don’t they know the rules? It is the first thing they are told the moment they enter any laboratory. Some chemical might disfigure their skins when alone in there without a professional’s guide, or worse, the chances of a fire outbreak when they use the Bunsen burner wrongly, ending up torching the entire laboratory.

"We are going to take only thirty minutes, not more than that." Nadia continued pleading, even though she saw the Student Representative’s strict scowl that meant he wasn’t going to approve their request.

"I am sorry." The Student Representative stood his ground, "I wish it were easy. It is impossible."

Tyson gently took him by the shoulder and led him a few paces away from Nadia, then stopped, "Listen, man." He audibly whispered, "There comes a time in life when a man would really like to do anything to please the woman he adores. The time is happening to me right now. If you have ever experienced it then you can be able to understand. Help me out."

The student looked at him, unmoved and impassive. I have never experienced it! It should certainly be your business.

Tyson could see the student was far from convinced, "We will only need thirty minutes." He still held him by the shoulder, now voicing almost emotively, "We are in the same department. I will remember this day and owe you back if in any way I will be in a position that may grant one an advantage. We can never know what the future has in store for us."

This made the student partially convinced, since he was a person who believed anybody could make it in life regardless of circumstances or conditions that may be a barrier to the person’s achievement. He is right. Nobody always knows what the future holds or has in store for us. He looked at Tyson expressively, making his final decision, "Only thirty minutes. No one should ever know you were here."

"Done deal." Tyson happily smiled and got back to Nadia. The student then let them in the laboratory.

"Impressive influential power!" Nadia proudly smiled at Tyson as they put on lab coats in the laboratory's changing room, "I was almost certain he wouldn't let us in."

"Yeah. He is strict. But one day if I become the Student President, I will do away with this rule about freshmen not using the lab alone. If we had A's in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, will it not at least make us know how the lab works?"

"I will totally agree with you." Nadia approved admiringly the gentleman’s sentiments as they headed to the laboratory's clinical practice department.
