《BLOODTHIRSTY》34. Loyalty

Gio was the first one to move in. His mother has been asking him to move in a castle where Winter was supposed to be living. He had no idea who the castle belonged to or why he even had to move away. Winter noticed that when her brother moved in, Gio seemed to stare at Lazarus as if he was expecting something to change when he looked at him.
"What are you doing Gio?" She complained to him as he wrapped his arms around her.
"I have seen this man before." Was all he said while he kept on staring at the vampire with a frown on his face.
"Weren't you the man that kept me from falling down a waterfall?" He asked him with raised eyebrows.
"What?" Winter half screamed. "A waterfall? What were you even doing?" She asked him with raised eyebrows.
"Your bro was just exploring, you know the deal." He told her with a grin on his face.
"I'm telling mom." Winter said while crossing her arms.
"Wait no you can't tell her, are you trying to get me killed!" Gio half screamed too and the kids in the house looked at the duo while holding in laughter.
"I also saved you from being eaten by wolfs and breaking your arm permanently." Lazarus shared with everyone in the room and Winter gasped.
"I thought I told you to be careful, what do you think you are doing?" She asked her brother with disbelief.
"That was a while ago, I'm a changed man." Lazarus laughed at the young man's choice of words.
"I'm pretty sure both of those events happened like a week ago." Lazarus again shared, Gio sighed.
"Can you like not say more please? At this point you are just setting me up man." Gio said annoyed while holding Winters head between his hands.
"Why is your head so small?" Gio asked out of the blue.
"Do you expect me to answer?" Winter said while rolling her eyes. "You're ruining my hair Gio."
The vampire watched the way the kids interacted. It some way brought him back to how he used to be with Eras. It always seemed like days went by so quickly, and time was just a word. When they spend their time together arguing and complaining it seemed like time was just a odd concept. He had wished that those times had lasted forever. He had wanted to go back to the time where he and Eras where being stupid and reckless. However he had responsibilities know, and the friend that he would have given his life for seemed to only live in his memories and heart.
"Anyway can someone explain to me why mom was harassing me to the point I had to move out?" Gio asked out loud and everyone seemed to be quiet.
"You are being chased after and you need to be protected."
Gio laughed and shook his head. "Chased after? This not Avatar."
"I'm not joking Giovani, this is a real issues. I'll suggest you to not be so reckless from here on out." Lazarus said out loud hoping that the young man would understand.
"You used my full name, shit must be pretty intense than." Gio said and Winter hit his arm. "You kids did not hear that." Was all he said while laughing at Winters reaction.
"Did I make myself clear enough or should I repeat myself?" Lazarus asked not so sure if the young man that love being wild and free had understood.

"Yes sir, the message has been delivered." Gio said while pointing to his head. The young man looked around the castle.
The castle was big, really big it reminded him of the ancient Roman type of house. However there was something not sitting well with him. He wasn't sure what it was however his gut feeling was telling him something was wrong. He could already sense how the man named Lazarus was on edge and The kids living in the house did not seem to be his. Perhaps he adopted them. He wasn't sure yet, he could tell there were details they were leaving out.
"Jokes aside, how long will we be staying here? And why do I feel like you are not telling me something?" Gio asked them with raised eyebrows.
"I have no idea how you will take it Gio." Was all Lazarus could say, Gio had a smile plastered on his face.
"One time in the forest I stumbled across a group of wolfs changing into men. How bad can it be?" He said while laughing and sat down on the couch.
"You know about them?" Winter asked surprised.
"Yeah and those bastards threatened me. They really thought I would back down." Gio smiled at the memories and winter figured it was the time where he got eaten by a group of wolfs a week ago.
Winter sat besides her brother. "Can you stop putting yourself in danger please?"
The look in Gio's eyes said enough. "I'm a changed man." Was all he said while smiling to his sister, not wanting to worry her any further.
"I'm a vampire." Lazarus brought out. Winter had expected him to be surprised, however Gio just nodded his head.
"That was expected, there is no way any human can take on a pack of werewolfs." He said easily while looking at his arms. Covered in bruises, that reminded him of the good yet scary times he had spend here on earth.
After the small conversation that seemed to last an hour. Winter helped her brother move in his new bedroom. It was on the same floor as hers so she could bother him as much as she wanted. Winter had been excited for some odd reason and decided to even pack for him while playing music. Her brother was just laying on his bed while using the tv that was inside of his room. His shirt was already long gone. She had no idea why shirts bothered him so much. His dragon tattoo she had seen plenty of time was full on display. She sat right next to her brother.
"Is mom actually doing okay?" Winter asked curious and Gio nodded his head.
"I mean she is functioning." He said while laying back in his new bed.
Winter found herself hugging her brother. Wrapping her arms around him like she had done as a child when she was scared. Or when she felt alone while her mom was out working. Time seemed to pass by really fast. Yet she didn't want time to go by fast. She was scared to grow up and get older. She always wanted to stay by her brother side as a kid. There was a time where she would not even leave his side. Winter had gotten so used to him always being around and being with her, that his absent made it feel like she had a hole in her heart. As if there was something missing.
"What's wrong child?" She heard her brother ask her.

Winter shook her head. " Nothing, I just missed you a lot." She told him truthfully. Gio smiled to himself and placed his hand on her head.
"You really have a small head." He told her while going through her hair.
"You're ruining my hair." She complained to him and he shrugged.
"It was already ruined." He told her while standing up, not letting go of his sister. Instead he just threw her over his shoulder and ran down the hallway, than he went down the stairs.
"Gio put me down." She screamed in fear however her brother wasn't listening at all.
"Fuck man, put me down!" She screamed again scared of falling and breaking something.
"Well this is the first time I have heard you curse." A familiar voice spoke and Gio froze in his spot. Looking around for the source of sound.
Orobas finally revealed himself and looked the young man down that still had Winter over his shoulder. "You should better put her down before Arculus sees this."
"Arculus?" He asked and raised his eyebrows. "Who the hell is he?"
Winter suddenly felt nervous, she had never told him about Arculus. Them meeting each other made her feel a type of way. Her thoughts were interrupted by Gio's rumbling stomach. Gio had no idea where the kitchen was however he just followed the noises he was hearing and ended up in the living area. Well there were more than one but it seemed this place seemed the most loved.
"You two are making more noises than the 5 other Kids combined." Lazarus complained and Gio just laughed.
"It's a talent of ours." He said as if he was proud of it.
"Gio put your little sister down." Lazarus said slightly annoyed.
"No sir I will not." He said and could feel someone staring at him. Gio turned around with raised eyebrows. He was met with a man with long dark hair and the most darkest eyes he had ever seen. Gio wasn't sure if he was upset or angry, but it seemed like he was just as surprised to see him.
Amdusias looked between the two and glanced to see Orobas expression. The tension between the two guys was pretty intense. Which of course made Amdusias smile to himself. "Guys this my brother Gio." Winter said out loud to lighten the mood.
However Arculus still watched the brown skinned boy with light brown eyes and hair a slightly lighter colour than Winters. He was tall and looked like he had been training his body well enough. The look in his eyes told him a different story. It was like Gio was warning him to not approach his sister.
"This is Arculus, next to him is Amdusias. Than you have Orobas." Lazarus introduced the demons to Gio.
"Well nice to meet you." He said nicely but turned around to face Lazarus. "I'm actually hungry."
Lazarus looked up from his documents and shook his head. He truly was his fathers son. "Put you sister down, and I'll give you food."
"Why do i suddenly feel like you are treating me like a dog?" He asked and Winter laughed.
"Maybe because you are." Winter said amused, and Gio raised his eyebrows.
Gio took his sister and threw her on the couch that wasn't so close by. Winter landed on the couch safely but felt like this was a murder attempt.
"What the fuck Gio!" She half screamed and Gio smiled to himself satisfied.
"Can you both please act your age?" Lazarus asked them annoyed.
"He started." Winter defended herself.
After Gio finally ate something, the meeting finally started. Gio learned everything that day. About his father that had passed, about the vampires that had killed them. Even the war that was supposed to break out. That those demons and Angels were at war and earth will be a battle field. Gio also noticed that the 3 men he had seen earlier weren't human but actually demons.
The information was shocking to Gio, and Arculus noticed. He did his best not to invade others privacy, however he could tell that Gio was angry. In front of his sister he acted like a goofy guy, that always had something to say. But Arculus had always been able to read people's emotions, in fact he even felt it. Gio was angry, the young man was furious. It seemed like the anger he was feeling did not just start right now. Gio had been angry all along. Botteling everything up and waiting to explode.
It probably wasn't Arculus place to talk, since he just met the man. However acting like everything is fine while it isn't, is just going to make everything worse. Arculus removed his eyes from Gio and looked at Winter instead. She had been laughing because of something Gio had said. Her laughter really did make his world bright up.
"You will be leading an army of demons Arculus. It's better for you to prepare yourself." Lazarus told him and arculus raised his eyebrows.
"I'll be leading no war." He replied and crossed his arms.
Lazarus sighed. "We already talked about this."
"Yes and I said no the first time too." Arculus replied annoyed. "You really think I will even be able to lead a legions of creatures that do not even claim me as their own?" Arculus spoke with anger evident in his voice.
"It's not even about if you will be able to or not. Because I know for a fact that you can. You just don't want to, you're going to let your kind fall? Where does your loyalty lies?" Amdusias retorted back.
Arculus glanced at Amdusias for a brief moment. This was one of those times where he got the see an other side of the demon. His usually grumpy and angry self was replaced with someone encouraging. Arculus was thankful for having them by his side. He knew That Amdusias acted that way because he wanted to get through Arculus mind. However it was no use. Arculus was sure without the two demons he probably would not have came this far. However life had never been something easy. A gift that you receive without even asking for it. Why did it had to be so hard? No one has asked for it but it was given to you anyway. Arculus understood that they needed him. But everyone was still not telling the truth, he could tell.
"I was raised by spirits Amdusias, they may not have told me the truth. But they took care of me. Learned me everything that I am able to do now. If I ever had do be loyal to anyone, it would be to them." Arculus said angry, he could feel how the side he had always wanted to suppress was showing itself. His inner demon was bothered.
"Your mother is Queen, she rules over the underworld. She is a Goddess, praised by not only demons but humans too. This is your kind and are failing them." Lazarus said equally angry.
"I told you before I will not lead this war." Arculus said simply.
"Tell me why you don't want to lead this war? Be honest, it's not only about your mother abandoning you is it?" Lazarus asked Arculus.
"Who am I to take lives?" Acrulus asked them with raised eyebrows. "I don't know much about the underworld, I don't even know my mother's face. To others I suppose I'm the next in line. However I'm just a simple guy. I will not lead this war, and that is final."
Orobas was quiet. Listening to everything Arculus had to say. He understood where Arculus was coming from. He did not want to lead a war that had nothing to do with him. He may be a demon but he was raised by spirits on earth. He don't even have his memories in tact. Orobas understood completely. Arculus had been on earth far too long. He didn't know who he was, he did not see it. To him all of this was talk, perhaps it was time for him to finally found out. The time has finally come for him to meet his mother.
"It's time to go back." Orobas informed Arculus. "Let's go back home." Orobas said out loud, feeling some type of way. His mission was about to be completed, he finally made his wish come true. Finally he would be able to return home, with his childhood friend.

Kill the Harem
I was never a person who struggled with anything. Whatever I wanted to achieve, I achieved, except for finding a good reason for living. That was until I died. Perhaps it was karma, or perhaps it was some particularly sick god. I woke up in a world full of magic and encountered all these women who became romantically obsessed with me. It bears an uncanny resemblance to those garbage isekai series that I had the misfortune of reading in high school. The problem is, I loathe isekai. It got to the point where ever time I read about a busty elf-girl wanting to follow the protagonist, I wanted to throw something. It's illogical and it ruins the flow of the story. But now, I'm the one getting harassed by such illogical people? What complete and utter drivel. If any obsessive crazy person tries to make me theirs without even caring about my opinion, I'll f*cking kill them! I'll kill them all! I'm getting back home no matter what. My favorite manga hasn't finished yet and I want to read it to the end. Q&A Section Q: Is the protagonist mentally healthy? A: No, not even close. Q: Are all the female characters stupid? A: Barring extenuating circumstances, nobody rational would fall for a guy like the protagonist, so there's a bit of selection bias going on here. Q: Is this about a Gary Stu killing a bunch of irrational harem characters in a cliche isekai world? A: Go reread the title and the synopsis. Q: Do the women die because they won't sleep with the protagonist? A: No. I'm not sure where anyone got that from since it's entirely the opposite of what happens.
