《Aliens.exe》Chapter 106 - Mom's Gone Viral

“Well she don’t half try, Jakey,” said ‘Arry. “I’ll give her that. She’s on the news this time.”
‘Arry started the news up on his hand held radio.
“And this is Quinton Marks, reporting to you from… well Lapine Death Corps I suppose. The building I’m in isn’t really relevant. Anyway, we all know this game and the influence it has over the youth, and adults in our society. Well today it has made quite a splash in a different way.
The Spencer family have already made their mark on this terrible war we are fighting. Jake, the biggest traitor in the history of the Outer Galaxies both started the war, and then engineered massive victories in battle for his new home, Crawk. It seems his Mom, Rosemary – who has always maintained his innocence – is trying to make amends.
This morning, just after 3am she posted a message in the Lapine Death Corps forum which has spread like wildfire. She alleges that there is a hidden room, somewhere in the Crawkling’s iconic building the Tower of Power, which could be the key to this war. According to Rosemary, it powers everything in Crawk, from lightbulbs in the home, computers at the office, to the spaceships which are here, plaguing our very shores.
The Tower of Power is highly protected. Our ships have tried to bomb it before, but have been denied by its indestructible forcefield. But if correct, could this give us a way to disable the forcefield, and win the war?
The debate rages as to where this room could be. Some think that it is at the very top of the tower, where the green glow that can be seen from space comes from. Others say it must be far underground to be protected well. Many think it is just a ruse, and could even be another one of Jake’s ploys to trick us into changing our tactics in this war. Few have mentioned that this appears to be an appeal from Rosemary Spencer to her son for help. Will he? We will have to wait and see.

This has been Quinton Marks, reporting to you from my bedroom. Uh.. didn’t mean to say that.”
“Interesting, eh, Jake?” said ‘Arry. “Even when you are locked in a room, your past actions are getting you into trouble.”
“I know where it is, ‘Arry.”
“She’s got some spirit though, I tell yer. She’ll be a formidable foe for our lawyers in the courtroom.”
“I know where the room is, ‘Arry. Get me a computer.”
“No way! You’ll be in there, deleting everything, warning Crawk of the dangers.”
“I won’t ‘Arry, I promise.”
‘Arry looked him, squinting through one eye. “You’re serious aren’t you. You think you know where this room is.”
“I know exactly where it is, I just didn’t know what it was before.”
‘Arry opened the door to Jake’s cell. “Right, traitor boy. It is time you started doing the right thing. But beware, this is your one - and only - chance.”
