《Killing demon as a deity》Power Trip

Demen watched over the screaming followers, which begged for their lives. Groups of people all on their knees or hanging on some sort of weapon for stability, reaching out towards him with teary cries.
‘He completely lost it- this freak doesn’t see them as people anymore.’ Kira panicked as he frantically raced towards Demen.
Kira rushed in with his sword raised to the ribs. Flames burst from the hilt and engulfed the entire blade instantly. Like a wave of fire his sword glided across the air in a fiery blaze.
Demen raised both his hands out to the screams and cries with a sadistic smile. Purple aura began to emanate from his hands and burst out in the shape of large gas based arms.
Kira was still a distance away but he was closing in, once he realised that he wouldn’t make it in time he focused some of the mana from his body into his legs. He needed a large boost of speed and this was a way he knew he could have it, even if it was only for a moment.
The muscle definition on his calves hardened and grew one size larger; the same followed in his feet and ankles which pulsed suddenly with a bright black aura.
The pace he was moving increased dramatically as he swiftly flew through the air towards his opponent. The large vapour based arms reached out towards him as he closed in but Kira watched them in slow motion, and avoided them with acrobatic movements.
Demen twisted his attention to Kira and reached out towards him with the free hand. An orb appeared in his grasp which burst like a balloon as soon as it formed. The pop from the orb resulted in a powerful pulse in the air which pushed Kira back.
He went flying through the walls of the manner and brought down the ceiling along with it, Kira had been buried in a pile of rubble and smoke.
Kira had become so dazed from the sudden attack that he released his blade when knocked back. It landed amongst the rubble beside him but in that time the flames running along the blade spread through the wooden beams and broken walls.

The deep brown wood and destroyed tapestry burned up in the centre of the growing fire that consumed the building at a swift pace.
In a few moments the whole side of the manner was caught in a blazing inferno. The smoke and flames presented different shades of black and grey which danced around each other, which built up to the air like a beam of light.
“What was that crazy strong attack- I didn’t even see anything…was it some type of air blast?” Kira wondered while pulling himself out of the rubble.
As Kira emerged from the chaos and rubble he observed to his left and saw the entire hallway which covered quite a long distance had been completely demolished and replaced with a coffin of dark flames and smoke that would easily suffocate him.
“This is the destruction that your kind brings; we humans can never live in peace for as long as you roam free. Destruction is your nature- that is why for the great or good…” Demen raised his hands towards the screaming crowd.
The large purple hand which he had originally extended had already reached them and had wrapped itself around them. The vapour spread amongst them and enveloped them in a mass of hands and appendages.
Hands and arms wrapped around them, which reached into their bodies to pull out the mana inside them. One by one flickers of light began to leave their body and were dragged towards Demen’s hands.
The starlit wave of souls rushed towards him and poured into him with a forced approach that sent him stumbling back. His hands began to darken and fade as if the mana dyed his skin until he had completely shifted into the same menacing colour as the aura that surrounded him before.
Demen writhed in pain as he threw his head back with a stiffened stance. White horns began to sprout from his skin and pierced through the surface of his body, spurting blood as more grew.
Larger horns appeared around his shoulders and began to form down his spine but grew smaller as it ran spread down the lower back. The carvings in his hands and chest had completely healed and remained as glowing red markings over his skin, like tattoos.

His white hair remained along with the sadistic yellow eyes which turned their attention towards Kiramaru.
The followers that were willing to fight demons for their precious father laid dead in a human pile only a couple of meters from his feet. Kira gripped his mouth trying not to vomit from the sight of mangled corpses spread across the ground.
“You won’t survive this Demen, you are no longer human! From this day on you are the true demon and that is all you can ever be!! I’ll kill you! There’s no way you will get out of here alive, I’ll kill you no matter what!”
Demen only smiled, completely unfazed by Kira's raw emotion and cracked his knuckles in preparation. Kira could see a potent aura hanging around Demen's body that looked far more demonic than he had seen before.
Both sides burst forward to attack but Kira made the first move, he readied his sword to the side. A trail of fire followed his blade as he drove it in to Demen’s chest but before the blade could make impact he noticed Demen's body vanish out of sight in an instant.
“What the-” Kira muttered in surprise.
Demen appeared beside him with a casual pose and flicked him into the wall. His body blasted across the garden as he smacked heavily against the ground while tumbling back.
In a fit of panic he jolted up in place without any attention to his sword or stance, solely focused on getting up onto his feet. Kira’s hands began to tremble as he reached for the hilt but never broke eye contact.
Demen appeared out of thin air once more but this time he stood directly in front of Kira, hunched over him with a sadistic cackle. His new form gave him a few extra inches of height but his muscle mass had the most noticeable change.
‘That isn’t just simply appearing out of thin air…he is moving insanely fast?! How could he possibly be moving at such an insane speed- no there is no way. After all that mana he consumed he has to be on some type of power high.’ Kira freaked.
Demen straightened his back and let out his signature smile. “Well then what was that you said earlier about not letting me live?”
In the blink of an eye Kira found was slammed against the side of the wall surrounding the area, Demen continued to drag his body against it as he ran along the walls edges. After making a round trip he flung Kira into the air and at the peak of his height he was brought back down with a powerful slam.
Demen joined his hands together into a larger fist and carried all the momentum into a downward slam. As the fists collided against Kira’s stomach his body broke through the wind and shot down like a meteor against the earth.
Kira laid face up in a crater of dirt with barely any consciousness left to move, the only thing rushing through his mind was the unbelievable amount of pain that his body was in. It felt like at least 15 bones in his body had broken or shattered but at that point he couldn't be sure if he was still alive.
“Don’t die on me now; we still have a few more rounds to go before the ending!!” Demen chanted as he grabbed Kira from the ground.
Kira’s body fell limp as he was dragged from the dirt and hoisted up into the air by Demen's muscular arms. He licked his lips while gazing at the prized meal that he had defeated.
“Let’s get ready for the finale~”
