《The Legacy of Gilgamesh》Chapter 7 The Great War

The earthworms hurried over to the meat as the humming mosquitoes in the air rushed to attack. As soon as the mosquito reached its head, the earthworm sucked it up, killing it. Although there were some earthworms, they were few compared to the hundreds of mosquitoes. It didn't matter much if a mosquito died because the others kept swarming the earthworms and attacking them.
Thousands of ants on the ground moved swiftly at the same moment, moving in the direction of the earthworm to attack it with their formidable and razor-sharp upper and lower jaws. The true monarch of the Cradle, with a thick shell and a length of more than two meters, these earthworms are too hard to even for the ant's strong biting strength.
The ant can only scrape the earthworm's smooth iron skin, producing a white mark. Although ant attacks on earthworms don't have much of an impact, there are a lot of ants. After several unsuccessful attempts, they will eventually scrape through the earthworm's skin, similar to rain would destroy stones.
Rico noticed an earthworm being attacked by numerous ants. When it became too wounded, it flopped over and sank into the ground, leaving just hundreds of wounded ants behind. However, their battle continued. Eventually, additional troops arrived from all sides, and the Three Great Clans remain at war.
The other bug among them took advantage of the circumstance, took what meat they could, and fled. During the struggle, nearly 800 ants perished, whereas just 100 earthworms died. In addition, 200 mosquitos were killed, although only a handful died since they were adept guerrilla fighters. Rico was pleased to see that numerous creatures had died and that the World Source now had 1.01 mana.
He then used his authority to infuse his body with 0.001 spirit energy. Rico's muscles and bones began to tremble as a warm current began to flow through him. A single second later, his body returned to normal. Rico's hand was tightly closed, and he could feel a jet of air escaping from between his fingers. When a regular person clenches his fist, it is empty. However, the fact that he can now snare the air between his fingers demonstrates his increased strength and speed.

He glanced at his concrete wall and heard a faint voice telling, "You can punch it through." But he shrugged and said, "Forget about it, cleaning that up would be a drag." Rico could sense that his strength hadn't increased all that much, even if he wasn't aware of how much it had. If that were the case, controlling his body would be impossible for a while.
"I'll have to check out my strength in the gym."
In the meanwhile, the Cradle has experienced more than 20 years. The three races of the Cradle have long since recovered their pre-recovery population levels. Another 100 kg of meat was added in a short time. Rico instantly foresaw another large-scale conflict between the three clans, and he eventually obtained and consumed a World Source of 0.102. A warm flood of water immediately massaged his inside, quickly putting him at ease. After a lengthy period of inactivity, his muscles were bursting with life.
For the third time, Rico flung the remaining 200 pounds of beef into the Cradle. After the meat has been placed into the Cradle, he transferred his mind into the disc world to observed. He discovered a massive brawl between ants, earthworms, and mosquitoes. The mosquito buzzes and rushes from the sky or from beneath the foliage. They then grasp ants, raise them into the air, and release them. The majority of them were killed when they erupted into bits from the fall.
However, they only do this while fighting ants. When they come across earthworms, they rapidly get out of their way. As he watched the mosquito, earthworm, and ant bodies scattered around the floor, he was very happy with how the Three Great Clans conflict had played out. This time, 1,700 troops from the three clans were killed in all. Giving 0.180 of the World's Source.

Rico reasoned that this should suffice for the day. Oh, it smells so bad, he thinks as he snaps back to reality. He saw what looked to be a dark, greasy substance on his skin. His fleshy body was strengthened, cell viability was improved, and toxins such as previously dead cells and malignant substances were removed. This should be the outcome of soul energy.
Rico then made a hasty escape to the bathroom to use the toilets.

Path of Divinity
The world has been assimilated by the Celestial Archives, a vast system designed to fight the forces that seek to destroy the universe. For most, it's a holy cause that rewards victory with stats, levels, and skills. For Hunter Gold, it's the start of a nightmare. Even in a system dominated by paths, he finds himself taking the road less traveled. This is a work in progress. Major editing will be done after the book is complete, so there will be egregious typos and parts that make no sense whatsoever. Please feel free to point any and all of these things out. Chapters WILL get edited, and that editing might break earlier chapters. I will attempt to keep readers apprised of all changes. As always, feedback is welcome and appreciated. This is kind of something fun I wanted to write after reading stories like The New World, System Apocalypse, and the Legend of Randidly Ghosthound. I don't know how serious I will be about this story, but I just want to try it out. I imagine that it will become a love child between Fable, Diablo, and Devil May Cry. Enjoy!
