《Between Reality: G.Y Aspect》74: An Impossible Topic

Lindah walked to the outdoor cafeteria in downtown district of the city at a table where the lover sat. The lover had called her to meet in the cafeteria, but she wasn't told why. It made her worried, until the very minute.

"Hi, my love." She got to him and gave him a peck, then pulled out one seat beside him at the table and sat.

"Hi," Tyson replied looking at her.

Lindah's eyes were at him on her seat, "So, I am here. What's up?"

Tyson sighed from within. A harassing anxiety of sorrow began to invade him. Just looking at her, he already felt guilty to tell of the topic in mind. The feeling consumed him more every second of the stay, and for a moment he considered if he should actually talk about it. She will be hurt! Devastated! That's for sure.

Lindah's worriedness deepened upon seeing the lover's meditative face, "Just tell me, my love. You can trust me in anything. You know that." She reached for his hands on the table and gently held them.

I wish it were even a little bit easy! Tyson looked down at his held hands and felt the lover's gentle touch. He then looked up at her with a forced smile, and yet again he wondered why it never worked with her.

She was beautiful, lovely and smart. These were the qualities he wanted in a woman to date. They shared the same thought and perceptions and conversation was always easy between them. At first, when they met, her beauty and model figure in modern attires always charmed him. It was in fact what mainly drew and attracted him to her. She liked him, too, despite many men who tried to win her. He was the only one who got her attention. It was only him among all the others who touched her heart.

Now it clearly occurred that he rushed based on her physical attributes, even though she was also lovely and smart. He wished to have spent more time with her so as to build a connection before making a commitment. He had come to learn that physical attributes may not be permanent, what was permanent was connection, and he couldn't feel any with her.

He started speaking slowly with words that could form in his mouth, "Lindah, you are great... you are a wonderful person, and I like that about you..." He paused, stuck with words.

A lovely smile appeared on Lindah's lips from the compliment, "Well, thank you. I appreciate that."

Tyson nodded, looking at her in the eyes. The eyes made him unable to think of the right words. He avoided the eye contact, looking down at the table where their hands were, but he still found it hard to talk. Oh, God! Can this even be possible!

"You are a wonderful person, too." Lindah as well mentioned, "You are great." She wondered what it was the lover wanted to talk about. Has something happened to him? Her mind revolved around the thought, and it made her more worried. She thought of giving him assurance and trust in her, "My love, you can trust me in anything. I believe it is one of the reasons for partnership. Just take your time and exhale, then tell me about it."

Tyson could see the worriedness in her eyes, and it further generated more guilt in him. His mind now told it wouldn't be best to tell her. It now read impossibility more than ever. He was almost sure it couldn't be told, and immediately, another new different guilt emerged inside him, with a fierce ache. Nadia! The woman that his heart truly felt for. He already felt a betrayal when the woman should come to find that he was in a relationship, even though they hadn't yet communicated about their feelings. This is likely to hurt her! He felt a pang of gloom on the thought. He never thought only feelings could do this to someone.

"Lindah," He said, the guilt deeply consuming him, "I am going to do some tests... about me." He said with neutral eyes, deciding to cover the intended subject he wanted to talk about, "There is something about me... something that I recently learned, about my health, and... I want to confirm it."

Concern and apprehension came on Lindah's face from the information, "Is it serious! Where is the problem?"

Tyson appeared depressed and lugubrious. It was now open for the world to see, but none could be able to know what was truly depressing him, "I am not sure if it is serious." He said with an inner pain, "It is something to do with my bladder."

The lie was incredibly told that Lindah was completely and believably drawn into it. She stared in deepening concern, "Your bladder? You mean your urinary bladder?"

Tyson dejectedly nodded.

Lindah held his hands a little tighter, "You are the best doctor that I know. One of the best out there. I believe you can be able to fix it. I trust you can."

The words brought an appreciative smile on Tyson's lips, though dull, "Thank you. I believe I can as well. I just thought... I should share it with somebody... somebody close to me."

"Of course. You thought right." Lindah felt relieved, managing a vague smile as well, "You can always tell and trust me in anything. I will do the same with you."

Tyson looked at her. He was sure the truth was almost impossible to tell. The confidence to tell was not enough, and it not only depressed but hurt him.
