"... Then I took him by his collar and punched him on his face." Lei spoke as he and the lover walked together in a deserted street, with only sparse few people seen passing from time to time, "Since then the bastard took some of his respect and gave it to me."

Katelyn laughed, "That was sweet. I guess it made you the king of the jungle, right?"

"Baby, not only the king, but I own the jungle."

"Wow, then the queen has a reason to brag."

"As she pleases, my sweetie." Lei held the lover affectionately, "Brag until you attract enough haters to fill our national football stadium. Then I will make them all your friends, even by force if it can be applicable."

Katelyn was still laughing, "Then we make new haters all over again, right?"

"That is pretty much the cycle."

Katelyn was shortly silent, sighing "I wish I didn't have one. I wish I didn't have haters."

Lei looked down at her on his shoulder, "You have haters?"

"There is no human being who doesn't have at least one, sweetie." Katelyn responded easily.

"Yes, but you, Katelyn, haters? Sounds unnatural and unfitting."

"I have them, mainly the ones who criticize my book. They say that my idea is just a fantasy."

"That is because they haven't found true love. We have, and when they do, they will need a new reason to hate you."

Katelyn smiled lovelily, "What if they don't find it?"

"Then I will make you the dirtiest girl in town. I hear such stuff attracts haters."

Katelyn laughed more as two night patrolling officers showed up a couple of yards in front of them. They were in heavy-duty overall night coats, night torches, and armed with AK47 rifles.

They approached each other and the officers noticed Lei. No officer in the area knew Lei best than the two.

"Your night must be lovely, Mr. Lei." One favorably started, now in front of each other, "Just getting warm when we are cold."

"That's right." Lei smiled at him, then teased them both, "I always tell you it is too bad leaving your wives all alone while warming the beds without you."

"But we always tell you that changes when the night cold gets unbearable. We usually sneak in for an hour or two to get the bed's warmth." The second officer said.

"And I in turn always tell you that two hours is never enough for a man. A man needs the whole night." Lei still teased them.

The first chuckled, "Rather than talking too much, why don't you introduce us to the lovely Miss."

Lei smiled, starting introductions, "She is called wonder Kate, the most beautiful woman on the planet, just as you can see." He then turned to Katelyn, pointing at one officer then the other, "My love, this is Kafegi... and this, Pingu- he is nasty if he finds one breaking a law and stuff."

Katelyn cordially offered greetings, "It is lovely to meet you, gentlemen."

"It is our honour to meet the woman of our emperor." One officer nodded amiably.

"She looks a good woman, Lei. Keep on with your lovely night." The other said, then looked at Katelyn, "It is a pleasure meeting you."

Katelyn nodded with a smile, and the two officers continued with their patrols.

"You are their emperor?" Katelyn looked at the lover admirably as they also continued walking in the night.

"My dear, I told you I own the jungle. This is just one of the hundreds of proofs."

Katelyn marvelously smiled, "Then you must really own the jungle."

"Yes, I very much do." Lei jested, "Meaning from now on henceforth I should be addressed as my king."

"Yeah, but only from your subjects, not me."

Lei glanced down at her, "No, from my subjects and my queen as well. Decision made!"

Katelyn laughed as they continued walking in the cool night breeze.
