Hey all,
Sorry for the bad communication around this. I was trying too hard to avoid taking a break for too long, but I finally felt like I should fess up and put out an official notice.
I'll also make this an update log to share the most recent progress regarding Fragment of a Dragon Soul.
10/10/22: I've been having a hard time with school, and I'm also feeling creatively drained from Fragment of a Dragon Soul. All the recent chapters that I've been putting out just feel off to me. (I don't know if this is just in my head as the author or if readers have felt that way too, but yeah.)
I'm going to focus on school for this term and will update with more information when I'm not stressed (and sick haha) like right now and have a better idea of how I'm carrying the story forward.

Immovable Mage
What do you call a mage incapable of casting spells? In this story, we usually call him Terry. When the boy is accepted into Arcana Academy, his talent in the pillars of mana foundation awes everyone. All the bigger is the eventual disappointment when Terry turns out to be an utter failure at spellwork. Diagnosis? Major aspect impairment. No cure. Ever. A main character that is forced to explore a very narrow path of magic due to a permanent condition. A main character that is a part of a larger cast. A main character that is growing but won't become the strongest around anytime soon. A story following a single main character but with introduction or theme setting scenes without the main character. What Not to Expect: Edgy grimdark characters – I will never write a sexual violence scene or gory descriptions of torture. I hate reading it and I would hate writing it even more. Romance – romantic relationships will never be the focus of the story and only appear in the background. The main character is preoccupied with other stuff. Of course all of this is unknown to Sevyn and her companions who have recently escaped a facility created by The Red Sun. They have been experimented on turning them into Novas, being granted with a level of Ehror beyond that of an average user. They would explore this world to expose its secrets and to keep their freedom from being snatched away by their former makers. Hello everyone, Unfortunately this is discontinued as I writing a few things irl got in the way, and upon tryign to come back I realized that the story was nto quite going how I wanted to do anyway, so I went back to the drawing board and have started another story instead which I feel firs my original idea a lot better than this one does. It would be called Myriad Worlds Above.

Status and litrpg elements. The novel will focus on building up the army and base. With some exploring of the lands, even though they are technically the same person the clones will have their own adventures that tie into the larger plot.

Set in the world of Manifest Destiny - a shared hombrew D&D 3.5/Pathfinder 1 campaign setting that has been in use since 2007, this is a fantasy police procedural similar in style to Law & Order. Retired player characters make cameo appearances. This work originally won NaNoWriMo in 2015, and will update every Saturday until complete.

Humanity had gotten this far. How far, might you be wondering? Quite far indeed. The world had effectively become an ecumenopolis, almost; not in real life at least, in Economicalopoly of course! More on that later, in our story the main character is Charlie. Charlie was an exceptionally talented young man, the key word being 'was'. He was an incredibly unmotivated individual who generally steered clear from other 'Homo sapiens' as he put it. This was all because of an accident he had early on in life, when he was but 15 years old.
