《His Solace (Book 3) On Hold》Chapter Fifty

"So, I assume tour's been going well?" I asked as I settled down onto the couch beside Lee. He had his legs propped up on the short brown coffee table that sat right in front of us.
"It's been going pretty good. We only have about six or seven more tours to do, so maybe three more months." He said, resting his head onto the couch. "Of course, it's still really tiring..or maybe I'm just getting old." He yawned.
I nudged his shoulder. "Probably just getting a little too old." I agreed playfully before he stretched out his arm.
"Come here." He said, motioning for me to move closer. I moved from my end of the couch to the middle and laid my head against his shoulder as he wrapped his arm around my waist. "I've really missed seeing you face to face."
"Me too." I told him, staring off at the blank tv.
It was quiet for a few seconds before he spoke back up. "Have.." he trailed, "Have you been having any problems at work?" He asked, although I knew when he said work, he really meant Jason.
I laid my hand on my leg. "No, everything's been going pretty good. No problems or anything."
"Promise?" He said, looking down at me.
I looked up into his eyes. "Promise."
He seemed to take my answer well, and turned his attention away. "I've been meaning to ask you something."
"What?" I questioned curiously.
"Well, even though we're keeping our relationship a secret right now, I've already met your parents, even though it was kind of an accident but we seemed to hit it off pretty well."
"Yeah." I said, remembering their interaction. They had got along well. "So?" I asked him, prompting him to finish.

He gave me a look that said, 'I'm scared of what you're going to say, but I'm asking anyway.'
"Well," he said scratching the back of his neck. "I was wondering that since I met some of your family, maybe you'd be up to meeting some of mine."
"Your parents?" I shrieked.
He laughed and shook his head. "Uh, no, I wouldn't throw you right out there that fast. I guess, let me rephrase it. I'd like for you to meet my band members, they know a little about you, and know that I've never really had a serious relationship, and I'd just feel a little bit better if I could introduce you to them. They're basically like my family. We've known each for years, grown up together. Even though they can be a little overbearing and stupid from time to time, I love them, and I'd like for them to meet you." He said before adding, "If you're up to it? I'd make sure that our meeting was private so that the press wouldn't find out, and I promise the guys wouldn't tell them about us. So what do you say? Are you up to it?"
I thought hardly for a few moments before letting out a small breath of air. "Um, yeah, that'd be fine." I told him, "but I'm not going to lie..it makes me a little nervous."
"Why?" He asked sincerely.
I glanced back up at him. "Because I'm going to be in a room with four famous rockstars, and three of them are going to be judging me because I'm with you and you've just said that you've never really dated. What if they don't like me?"
Lee laughed. "Well, Thomas likes you, but then again he likes everyone." He said, noticing the look of irritation on my face before poking my forehead. "Don't worry, they'll like you. I promise."

I frowned. "How can you just promise that?"
He smiled. "Because I just know." He shrugged. "Don't worry, it'll be fine."
I laid my head back on his shoulder. "So when do I meet them?" I asked.
He laced his fingers through mine and squeezed them, "You can meet them tomorrow morning before Gerald takes you back home. Would that work?"
I felt my heart beating fast in my chest as nervousness tried to emerge. "That'd be fine. Better sooner than later, right?"
"That you are," he replied, "but seriously, don't worry. I'm positive the guys will love you."
"I hope so." I told him lamely.
He chuckled. "Trust me, Simone, they will."
