《The Reject (COMPLETED)》Chapter 40: It Comes To Light.

Willow was startled as her surroundings changed once again, she was now standing in the woods, the moon was high up in the sky but there were no stars to be seen, but she was sure that it had still been day time when she had been at school.
Behind Willow was an old cottage, which looked like it had been abandoned for a few hundred years.
But she was proved wrong when she saw Triple and Hunter appearing from behind the trees.
"What is this?" Hunter looked angry as he glared at Triple.
Triple smiled calmly. "Patience."
"Are you kidding me? We've been traveling for hours, just to see this?"
Triple ignored Hunter and walked forward towards the door, she knocked on the old door. The old door creaked open, scaring Willow, who had earlier moved over to stand behind Triple and Hunter.
Behind the doors stood a young woman, who had her black hair up in a bun. She was dressed in a T shirt illustrated with a pair of glasses and a lightning on top of it and some blue jeans, completely opposing Willow's imagination, who had expected an old woman, as old as this cottage living inside, someone who owned around seventeen cats and sold authentic voodoo dolls for a living.
"What brings you here to my humble abode?" The woman eyed the couple before her.
"You owe me, I've come to collect it." Triple smiled.
The woman pushed her glasses up and squinted to look at at Triple and then her face brightened. "Ah, it's you!"
Triple turned to Hunter. "Meet Danny, she's a witch."
"I can tell." Said Hunter curtly.
Willow was taken aback. The woman in front of her was a Witch? A witch! But don't witches wear dark clothes and pointy hats? But then again, the witch's Harry Potter T shirt did her justice, Willow guessed.
"This is my Alpha."
"Why don't you come in?" Danny opened the door wider and ushered them in. Willow feeling guilty for trespassing, followed them in. "What is it that you seek for in return for your favour?"
"My Alpha wants to break his bonds with his mate."
Danny gasped, as her face darkened. "I can't do that! That's impossible, only the moon goddess can break your bonds."
"Is it?" Spat Triple. "You owe me your life! Stop lying! I've heard legends about the witches having a trick to do that."
"I don't know where you heard those lies," Danny stared to the side, as if unwilling to make an eye contact. "I hope you leave now."
Triple scoffed. "Is this what you're going to choose? You promised me any favour. Do you know the consequences of going back on your word."

Danny's head snapped to Triple. "You wouldn't!" She yelled.
"Oh, I so would."
"I'll pay you," said Hunter. "I'll pay you whatever you want."
Danny stared at Hunter for ages before she sighed. "Are you sure about this? Theres no obvious outcome, you might not make it out."
"I'm strong enough for it." Said Hunter.
"But is your mate?"
"I don't care about her, she wouldn't be able to survive as my mate, as the Luna anyway, so what difference does now or later make?"
Danny glared at Hunter. "It does make a big difference!" Hunter glared back at her, his eyes fierce as if he was trying to suppress her. The witch couldn't seem to hold it and bowed her head, giving in. "Get ready for it, I'll make it quick."
"That's better"
Danny first tied up Hunter for 'safety' and then went to take out an old , big book from one of the rooms, she opened the book and stared chanting something from the book. Willow took a closer peek at the book and was astonished at how the book had even survived to this day. It had browned pages, with almost faded writings in a weird language.
Danny, stopped mid-chant and asked for Hunter's hand, she made a slash across his palm with silver dagger and dropped his blood in a white jade bowl. Hunter grimaced, as if he was hurting all over his body and in no time he was full out moaning in pain.
Hunter passed out midway through the spell, it was then the scene around her changed and she was now standing in Melody's room, where the other Willow slept on the bed, but now she was writhing, as if-as if her soul was being ripped out of her, as if she was dying and she was indeed dying. Even though she had seen this scene over and over again for the past few days, she could never get used to it.
Then she was transported back to the cottage. Willow screamed, startled as she saw Hunter, with his eyes turned black, his canines grew long as he jumped at Triple. Triple lost her balance and fell back, then Hunter bit her on her neck.
Willow gasped, she was sure that Hunter was going to kill Triple. She moved forward to try to push him off her but then she remembered that she couldn't touch anything nor be seen by anyone.
Just then Hunter felt limp as if he had fainted. Triple was gasping for air before Willow's surroundings changed again.
Willow saw as Triple became the Luna, just as she wanted to be, she saw as Melody was banished from the pack for refusing to accept Triple as the Luna. JR also followed his mate. She saw as Hunter killed them off after they left the pack, his face filled with disgust when Melody said that he killed his own mate. Willow clenched her fists, feeling disappointed at herself for even liking him in the past, even if it was just the mate bond.

Willow saw as a year passed and Triple got pregnant, making the whole pack happy. And then she saw him, Rowan move into town. Rowan, as he was in a cafe with Felix. As Willow was staring at him, entrapped by his handsomeness, she saw that he turned abruptly and stared at her, startling Willow.
Could it be that he could see her? Willow's heart started beating wildly. She wanted to tell Rowan that she was fine and was rescued by Lark, she wanted to ask him if he was alright.
"Mate." Willow jumped in fright as she heard a very soft whisper behind her. She turned around and saw Triple staring at Rowan in a daze, before her face morphed into a frown.
Willow breathed sharply and snapped her head in Rowan's direction to see him-to see him staring at Triple.
Willow bit her lips as she remembered seeing something like this, a lot at school, she had always wondered why two people stopped in the middle of the hallway and say 'mate' and then the next moment they would be full out making out against the lockers. But now she knew, now she understood why they did that, and she also understood what was happening now.
Willow scrunched her brows as she couldn't breath properly. She then felt the now familiar, shimmer around her, informing her that she would be transporting again. Just before she could leave, she saw Rowan frowning back at Triple.
Willow was now back in the garden, she was sitting across the goddess, back in her seat, her hands which had been clutching the cup of hot chocolate let it go in shock, the cup, instead of falling to on her lap floated back to the saucer placed on the table but she was too shocked to notice.
Willow couldn't believe what she had just seen. Rowan was Triple's mate? She didn't want that to happen, she didn't even like the thought of Rowan being someone else's mate, much less Triple's, who had made Willow's life a hell.
"What was that?" Willow's voice quivered as it raised.
The goddess calmly sipped on her cup. "That is something that was supposed to happen."
"You mean-" Willow broke down as her eyes widened.
"That is something that would have happened had Axel not interfered." Said the Goddess. "Axel promised to come back home if I changed your fate."
"But why must you force dad to stay here? He doesn't even like it here."
"This is where he belongs, this where he should stay." The Goddess stared at Willow with her resolute gaze. "But I think I would have changed some things even if he hadn't intervened, not that I was planning on telling that to him."
"Change it?"
"You weren't originally supposed to die, but your body couldn't handle Hunter breaking the bond, Melody and Jamie-Ray shouldn't have been killed either, but they were, and Rowan, he supposed to rule over the Vampires as one of the most incredible ruler."
"He," said Willow, biting her lips. "Wasn't?"
The goddess shook her head. "He would have be devastated when he would find that his mate was mated to someone else and was pregnant with his pup, worst of all he was rejected-"
Willow gasped as she shot to her feet. "What?" She yelled.
"Sit down." Said the goddess. Willow did as she was told, dazed, but soon she grew mad. Yes she didn't like the thought of Rowan being someone else's, but she hated him being hurt even more. "Triple, as you know, wanted power the most. She mistook Rowan as just another Vampire, someone who didn't have as much power as Hunter. So of course, she rejected him.
"Rowan was driven mad, he couldn't take it. Instead of ruling as a just, he turned into a tyrant, swearing to destruct all the werewolves in his madness."
"He wouldn't." Willow mumbled. She couldn't believe what she was hearing from the Goddess, it felt too unreal.
"One shouldn't be punished for others mistakes." The goddess sighed. "Having ambitions is a good thing indeed, but taking any lengths to complete their goals, hurting others on the way wasn't the right thing to do. Because of Hunter and Triple's silly mistake, thousands of people had to suffer for it. Hunter rejected you because he looked down on humans and because he wanted to keep his bloodline pure."
"I choose the people who are the most compatible with each other, but they just had to ruin it all, and cause the worst destruction possible."
Willow was quiet for a long time, taking it all in. "So, how am I still alive?"
"I broke your bond with Hunter before the witch could, and changed your soulmate."
"My soulmate? Who is it?" Willow clenched her fists.
The moon goddess smiled, it made the tense Willow, calm down. "That's for you to find out."
