Chapter 103 - Huo Sishen’s Misunderstanding (1)

“Gu Shishi, don’t think that you have won! Karma will get you sooner or later. What you have done to Wushuang will come back and bite you!”

Gu Shishi was just about to run toward the super luxurious sports car when she heard the voice behind her abruptly.

“It won’t end well for you marrying that man who gives bad luck to anyone who’s close to him!” The one who ran out after her was the girl who had spilled wine on her earlier.

What kind of spell had that Gu Wushuang cast on all these people? All of them had gone insane.

Gu Shishi pursed her lips.

After she has said that, she turned around and waved at the person still standing behind her as though she was just someone insignificant and that she couldn’t be bothered to give her another look. The girl in the delicate ball gown was infuriated by her action.

Gu Shishi turned around and saw Siyi sitting at the driver’s seat, looking shocked, as though she had just said something shocking.

“Miss Gu.” Siyi recollected himself quickly, jumped out of the car, and walked briskly over to open up the backseat door for her. His mannerism toward her was respectful, even the way he was looking at her was filled with admiration.

He tried as hard as he could not to look inside the car, but he couldn’t help but glance over subtly. There was a tall, handsome, and dignified man sitting coldly in the back seat of the car.

The boss… heard Miss Gu’s words earlier, right?

Huo Sishen was leaning against the back of the leather seat. His cold look fell on the girl who was still halfway out of the car.

It was now 12:30 PM.

Yet she came out here all by herself.

The few strands of loose hair above her forehead and on top of her eyebrows made her cheeks seem even rosier.

She seemed to be panting a little, as though she had walked out briskly.

“Why are you remaining still? Get in already!”

“Oh, okay.”

That’s when Gu Shishi finally climbed into the car using both her hands and feet. After setting down, she sat like a grade school kid – her back straight, stomach tucked in. Her hands placed neatly on top of her thighs.

She looked down and checked herself. She didn’t dirty anything, right?

Then why was the boss kept on staring at her? Did she get something on her with all the people around her earlier?

The boss was a germaphobe; he couldn’t stand any kind of dirtiness.

Gu Shishi looked at herself up and down and even wanted to use a mirror and check to see if there was some crumbs on her face from the desserts that she had earlier.

“Who did you drink with?”

Huo Sishen’s deep and cold voice rang next to her suddenly.

“Oh… do I smell like alcohol?”

Gu Shishi suddenly lowered her head and took a whiff.

Startled, she immediately went to cover up the hem of her dress the next moment.

She had wine spilled on her dress; of course she smelled like wine.

Did the germaphobe boss have the nose of a dog?

“I’m sorry. I’m sorry. Let me open up the window and air it out a bit?” Gu Shishi apologize right away.

The way she went to cover her dress did not escape Huo Sishen’s eyes.

The obvious scissors’ cut and the lingering smell of wine… all of which made him frown.

She hoped the boss wouldn’t get upset over this and kick her out of the car. She didn’t want that to happen! It was 1.5-hour drive home from where they were!

If she were to walk home from there, her toes would definitely be blistered!

She had on 6-7” heel stilettos for the banquet today.

Gu Shishi shuddered a little and tried as much as she could to curl up into a ball.

She even slowly tried to move as close to the door as possible, trying to stay as far away from the boss as possible.

She could only hope that the wind outside could blow away the smell on her that the boss didn’t like.

“Umm, I… I didn’t do that on purpose. Someone else spilled it on me. I didn’t even drink any….” Gu Shishi grumbled softly.

Looking at how timid she was, Huo Sishen’s black eyes squinted dangerously. He gave her a deep look. The rose color that was on her cheeks earlier were all gone.

As though she had thought about something bad and terrible. She wrapped her arms around herself innocently and curled up next to the car door.

She looked so pitiful. Her first time to a banquet and someone else’s wine just so happened to have spilled on her?

Huo Sishen’s dark eyes deepened again.

For a girl’s first time attending a banquet of that caliber and without the pointers from an elder, no close girlfriends or a date, it was already bad enough.

So she ran out of the banquet because she was bullied? And she was only able to look so scared after she had gotten inside the car?

“What happened to that courage of yours from earlier?”

Gu Shishi was a little baffled. Was he referring to the red wine girl who said he brought bad luck to everyone close to him?

He looked back over at Gu Shishi and she still had that nervous, foolish look on her.

“If the dress is ruined, have the butler buy you new ones.”

Gu Shishi looked up. She was very lost at the jump of the contents of their conversation.

Looking at her shocked expression, Huo Sishen looked down, his handsome face was expressionless.

Meaning she could take the bank card and get as far away from him as possible.
