Dinner was awkward .

Well for me anyways , Everyone chatted about while I pushed my broccoli around my plate.

" So Layla how did you and Seth meet ?" Seth's father asked me wiping his mouth , and everyone's attention averted to me waiting for an answer.

That wasn't even my name ...

" At your anniversary ice ball " and Seth's father nods going back to eating his meal.

" So how did my baby propose ?" Seth's mother asks looking giddy and I widened my eyes looking at Seth who was starring intently at me.

" How about you tell them honey ?" I plaster a fake smile rubbing his arm and he glares me clenching his jaw.

He clears his throat and begins " Well we were on our way to the yacht and ... and I reserved us a private dinner and I started to confess how I feel about her -"

" He was stuttering and blushing it was so cute " I felt Seth's grip on my thigh and I jumped .

" And as the waitress bought our dinner and we ate , I took her up to shore and proposed to her under the moonlight " Seth finishes shooting me a glare and I rolled my eyes.

" Aww " Ryan's wife along of Seth's mother cooed . Rita on the other hand was shooting daggers at me clenching her fork

Dinner went by pretty fast and the men went to the living room to talk and sip wine. While I was helping Seth's mother do the dishes while Stormy sat down looking tired.

" You really don't have to help honey " Seth mother says as I dry the plates.

" I want to Mrs Madden " I smiled at her as I put the dishes in the dishwasher.

" Oh please call me Maryann " She giggles and I hear Stormy pant and we both turn around in alarm.

" Don't worry Just a little blotchy " She waves off .

" How long are you ?" I ask wiping my hands and Rita strolls in sipping her wine leaning against the arch way.

" Three more months , I'm ready to pop these twin's out " She smiles tiredly and I widen my eyes.

" Twins wow , what is the gender ?" I question and she smiles rubbing her belly.

" There fraternal twins - a boy and a girl "

" Congrats " I smile and Rita rolls her eyes dropping her wine glass in the sink.

" If Seth asks for me say I'm in the Jacuzzi " she smirks at me leaving through the sliding glass.

Maryann shakes her head " I honestly don't know why I invited her "

" She can be a pain in the butt " Stormy says sighing .

" May I ask what happened between her and Seth?" I ask.

" She was having an affair ... with Milo " Maryann shakes her head and I widen my eyes.

" Seth was coming home from work and caught them on his couch , let's just say Milo was in the hospital for a week " Stormy chuckles .

" When did this happen?" I ask intrigued , no wonder Milo scowled when Rita joined us for dinner.

" Three years ago , Rita did this behind Seth's back for two months and I'm ashamed of Milo I never raised him to be like this , It took Seth about a year to forgive Milo - He was really smitten with Rita " Maryann says to me .

Seth enters the kitchen and beckons me to follow him " I'll be right back ladies " I smile and I follow Seth to the second living room.

" From now on let me do the talking with my family " He orders and I cross my arms looking at him , he had a cold expression his bright grey eyes blank and dull .

" Why can't I talk ? I'm not gonna sit there and let you treat me like a puppet " Seth rubs his forehead sighing.

" Look my family doesn't know that this is a fake marriage and If they find out ? they'll strip the company from me and give it to Milo "

" I thought Milo doesn't want the company ?" I raise my brow.

" My father told me that he's been having second thoughts and he's debating to make us share the company and no way in hell do I want that . And if I get this contract with Germany to expand my company worldwide my dad wont make me and Milo share " Seth tells me and I run my fingers through my hair.

" Fine " I rolled my eyes.

" You are to move in with me tomorrow in my home -"

" Wait hold on -"

" I'll be sending my men over to pack your things " he finishes off and I grit my teeth .

" Can I have a say in this ?" I snap marching after him.

" No you can not , we are getting married and it would be dump to live apart while we are engaged"

We reach the living room where everyone was and I sat far away from Seth as possible hiding my anger .

" So when is the wedding ?" Maryann asks smiling widely and me and Seth glanced at each other and I rolled my eyes looking away .

" We haven't decided yet " Seth clears his throat.

" Haven't decided yet ? - when we were engaged we set up a date immediately " Rita says and Seth clenches his jaw .

" I just proposed to her last week " Seth says .

" We'll work on that honey - who wants desert !" Maryann smiles.
