We arrived at the hospital, traveling down a few halls to get to my mom's room. 

When we finally stood outside her door, I took a deep breath. Although I was eager to see her, I also had a tense pressure on me to see her. It made me feel like I still had to owe her something, and I haven't worked hard enough to get there yet. I just ultimately wanted her to get better. Seeing her in this state made my heart ache. 

I knocked softly on the door, before turning the knob and pushing it open. 

I saw my mom laying comfortably on her bed with a book she was reading covering me from seeing her face. She must have heard me come on, for she quickly lowered the book to see who came in. When she saw me, she smiled widely in joy.

I rushed to her, and hugged her in my arms tightly. She hugged me back, then loosed her grip after a few seconds when we both heard footsteps come into the room. I looked up to see Namjoon, then I turned to look at my mom's face. 

For one of the first times, I couldn't read what she was thinking. I was a little worried of what she would think of him, not to mention that he was my fake boyfriend. Everything was a mystery to me right now. I was anxious to have answers.

Before anyone could say a word, I quickly spoke up. 

"Mom," I gestured my hand to Namjoon, "this is my bo-f-friend! My friend, Namjoon-"

I felt somewhat dumb for letting my words slip out like that. From Namjoon's expression, he seemed to have noticed.

"Nice to meet you, Namjoon" My mom finally said.

He bowed politely, "It is an honor to meet you too, Mrs. Yong-"

"You can call me mom if you like," She said, with a smile on her face.

Is my mom picking up something? Oh lord.

She looked back to me, "I didn't know you were coming to visit today. I would have prepared some snacks for you then."

I giggled softly. "It's okay, it actually wasn't my original plan to come today. Namjoon encouraged me."

She turned back to Namjoon again, with a wide smile. "Friends, you say?"

I nodded, "Yeah"

"This is the first time you introduced me to your friend who..." She leaned to me, whispering," who was of the opposite gender~"

I widened my eyes, jerking my head away from her. "H-huh?"

She didn't say a word. She only gave a mischievous grin, and that answered everything.

"I-it's nothing like that mom! He is a friend I met at school. I have been hanging out with him recently, since he is good company to me."

"Right-"

My mom looked away from me for a few seconds, seeming to be in deep thought. 

"So when will I be expecting grandkids?"

"MOM!!" I yelled, embarrassed. I could feel my face warming from how much I was probably blushing.

I could hear Namjoon giving light chuckles. He must find it entertaining to watch me suffer.

"Since I don't seem to be getting answers from you, I'll ask later." She turned to Namjoon, who was sitting on a chair near the bed, "So, where are you from?"

Afterwards, we chatted for a while. My mom seemed to grow fond of Namjoon, and same for him, despite what happened earlier. Hours later, we left the hospital and headed back to my apartment. Although I was ashamed to let Namjoon see where I lived before, now I felt more comfortable. I felt like I could share what I wanted with him, without being afraid of him judging me.

After staying at my place for about fifteen minutes to eat a small snack, he prepared to leave.

"Your mom is amazing Y/N."

"Thanks.." I smiled, a little flustered.

He then opened the door, taking a few steps out. 

"See you tomorrow Y/N"

"Yeah... see ya.."

I couldn't help myself. I dashed to him, back hugging him tightly. 

"Thank you Namjoon. Thank you for making me feel special, as you always do~"
