《Charm [NamjoonxReader]》Chapter 8

"Maybe I wouldn't have knocked him out if he wasn't such an asshat," Namjoon grumbled.
I pushed away from the person hugging me, who I had guessed was Jimin. He quickly let go, allowing me to see again.
Hoseok was on the floor, knocked out cold. Blood had trickled down his face from a cut on his eyebrow.
I quickly kneeled beside him to make sure he was still alive. Luckily, he was still breathing. My gaze flew up to the six men standing around us, who stayed silent.
"What are you d-doing!?" I yelled in anger. "Y-you're just going to let him bleed out?"
They all stared at me in shock, probably because they didn't expect me to yell. Sometimes when I get mad, it all just comes out.
"Come on, y/n," Yoongi chuckled. "This happens all the time," he turned away, beginning to depart. "You don't need to freak out like this."
Three others walked away with him, leaving just Namjoon, Jimin and Jin. I couldn't believe that had just happened.
How could someone leave their friend on the ground in a state like this?
I wrapped Hoseok's arm around my shoulder, attempting to pull him up off the ground, only to be held down.
"Here-"
Jin quickly cut Namjoon off, lifting up the other side of Hobi. "I think you should go, Namjoon."
"What?" He asked, obviously mad.
"You're the one who knocked him out," Jimin added, unwrapping Hobi's arm from around my shoulders to put it on his. "I doubt he'd want to see you when he wakes up, either."
Namjoon stood there silently, probably thinking about his options before turning away.
"We can take him to the hospital," Jin assured. "You should go get some rest."

I shook my head quickly, following the both of them as they carried Hobi.
"I n-need to apologise," I said softly.
"I think-"
"Just let her do what she wants," Jimin sighed.
-=+=-
"What are you doing here?"
I was suddenly jolted awake by Hoseok's harsh tone.
"Did you drag me to the hospital alone?"
Is this guy not even a small bit thankful?
"What is wrong with you?"
As I looked around the empty room, I realised that Jin and Jimin had already left.
"Just speak," Hobi groaned. "I don't care if you sound like you're having an aneurysm."
I furrowed my brows at his rude statement.
"J-Jin and Jimin h-helped m-m-m-"
I kept my eyes to the floor, embarrassed that I still couldn't talk to anyone but Namjoon properly.
"Stop," Hoseok sighed. "Look at me."
I reluctantly glanced up at him.
"Speak," he ordered softly.
I couldn't help but look at the floor.
"J-j-j-"
I heard Hoseok's hospital bed shake and soon saw his feet in front of mine.
He roughly pulled my chin up, making me look up at him.
"Namjoon isn't special because he can make you talk," he grumbled. "I'll prove him wrong the next time he boasts about you."
"O-okay," I stammered.
"Without stuttering this time," Hobi commanded.
I opened my mouth, about to speak but gave up. "I-I can't," I whispered.
"Yes you can," he grumbled. "Try harder."
"I'm t-trying my b-best," I fought in response.
Hoseok roughly let go of me before sitting back in his hospital bed.
"Try the best of someone better," he uttered.
"I j-just," I paused for a second, looking up at Hoseok. "I wanted to say sorry."

I smiled to myself on the inside, proud that I managed to speak to him normally.
"Why are you like this?" Hoseok turned away on his side.
I stayed silent, thinking it was best to let him elaborate.
"I've only been mean to you, y/n."
"It h-has to be for a reason, then," I responded. "W-what am I d-doing wrong?"
"Nothing," he sighed. "I get it now."
"G-get what?"
"Why Namjoon won't shut up about you," Hobi chuckled before continuing. "You're not like us."
I'm aware of that.
"We're not nice to each other like you're nice to people," Hoseok turned around to face me again. "I'm sorry, y/n."
My eyes widened in response. I never thought I'd hear Hoseok apologise to me.
"I-i-it's o-okay," I whispered.
"Now," he grumbled. "Go home before I change my mind about you."
I nodded quickly before standing up.
"I'll v-visit you again t-tomorrow," I announced before making my way to the door.
"Y/n," Hobi called, stopping me from leaving.
"Y-yes?"
"You're so weird," he cracked a soft smile. "Don't ever change."
-=+=-
"H-hello?" I asked, entering Hoseok's hospital room. I was anxious at school all day, avoiding Namjoon like the plague.
"Who are you?"
I looked down at Hobi in confusion.
"W-who am I?" I asked softly.
"Why are you in my hospital room?" He questioned.
"I-I don't u-understand," I muttered in disbelief. Had he forgotten me overnight?
"I'm just kidding," he chuckled. "You're so gullible."
"O-oh," I let out an uncomfortable chuckle.
"I'm surprised you haven't been eaten alive already," he stated in an impressed tone. "You're so..."
"W-weird? I know a-already," I sighed.
"Pure," he corrected. "So untouched." Hobi stared up at me, giving me a look I had never seen before.
"R-right," I uttered, unsure what to say. "S-so you're doing b-better?"
"You could say that," he responded simply.
"Well, I g-guess I should be on m-my way then," I stated, holding a bright smile on my face.
"Y/n," he called. "I don't want you to leave yet."
What's with this guy? I thought he hated me at first... Maybe that hit to the head really did change him mentally.
"O-oh," I whispered.
"You've only been here for like five minutes," he pouted. "Come, stand beside me."
I reluctantly walked over to him, making sure not to get too close.
"Are you scared of me, y/n?"
"N-no," I assured while shaking my head. I obviously lied.
"Then come closer," he whispered.
"D-don't you think that's a l-little c-c-creepy?" I asked, taking a tiny step towards him.
"Of course not," he chuckled. "After all, I'm just trying to express my feelings towards you."
"F-feelings?" I questioned.
"Haven't you had somebody like you before, y/n?" Hoseok asked in an innocent tone. "Don't worry, there's a first time for everything.
He grabbed my wrist tightly, pulling me on top of him.
Everything about this is so wrong, the fact that we are in a hospital room, the fact that he's injured, and mostly, the fact that he's not Namjoon.
Wait... Why am I thinking about Namjoon while I'm being forced to straddle Hoseok? Oh god, what have I gotten myself in to?

Triquetra: A Multi-Class Isekai or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Accept the End of the Multiverse
Triquetra: An Multi-Class Isekei Adventure I know, I know, you have heard it all before. Yes I was hit by a truck. Yes I ended up in a Fantastical World suspiciously similar to one of my favorite RPG’s. Yes I had access to cheats no one else possessed. Yes it was a world of classes and levels and magic powers. Finally, yes I was an overweight middle-aged loser failing to live up to my potential. Given my eclectic reading habits I should have been better prepared. Unfortunately I was not. Sure I could multi-class with reduced penalties, but my starting class was Scholar! No combat abilities and very limited spellcasting. My HUD interface costs mana to use, and my universal translation seemed to be outsourced to Giggle Translate. I’m supposed to be an OP MC! Not a slice-o- life struggling to survive in the wilderness. Not to mention the Arch-Magus who summoned me, mistimed everything, I arrived 300 years too late, after the fall of the Empire I was supposed to save. The surviving remnants have devolved into Murder Hobos. What’s worse is that the Great Devourer, Ancient Calamity, and Spawn from the Void Beyond Time, Space, and Sanity is now aware of a new world to plunder, a world called Dirt! (Told you this translator sucks) Warning Extra Crunchy Authorial Vebosity! Lots of infodump in the early chapters, but I learn my lesson and it does get better, eventually. I do not own the Cover image, found it on a free image site.

The Fate Eater
What might a man really do if he found himself reincarnated into a fantasy world as a dragon prince? How would he come to terms with his new nature, his larger-than-life family, the agendas of warring factions, and the destiny he never asked for? This is a story that intends to defy some isekai tropes, but play into others. It's mainly about exploring a rich hand-crafted world, full of its own history and mysteries. Its characters have their own lives and aspirations, and our protagonist is but a piece of the greater tapestry. This story is not about right and wrong, or good and evil. It's about a dragon-man being tested by fate, power, and time. It's about what it's like to live as an outsider who lost their home. But perhaps the most central theme is freedom. What does freedom really mean? What will it cost and how much might one be willing to pay for it? Does it even truly exist? Let's find out together.

The watcher of universe and stuff.
The most devastating thing to an eternal being must be boredom. If nothing can change you, how can you yourself change? Sometimes you have to learn that the hard way. I should point out that there are multiple lead characters and they will all have their own personalities and motivations. While the story will focus more on our MC Trey, you can expect multiple POV switches. If you do not like POV switches, this might not be for you. My first book. If anyone will ever read this, be so kind as to leave a comment. Even, if all you say is an insult. As long as I can improve this work by your comment, it's all fine. One thing’s for sure. I will keep writing as if my reader can handle curse words without curling into a little ball and repeatedly saying: "Leave my safe-space alone, you monster". Therefore, you can expect some profanity.

That Scottish Play
This is a very silly and cringey parody of Shakespeare's Macbeth. The play format will be kept consistent throughout. Unless you enjoy cringing so hard you experience physical pain, I'd suggest avoiding this work. However, as the level of cringe is only slightly less than that of the office, any fans of that show may enjoy this work. (I believe, as a parody, this work is protected from copyright by fair use, additionally, Shakespeare is in the public domain so it doesn't fall under copyright in the first place. If I'm wrong please let me know)
