《The Princess' Messenger》Part 2

He greeted the astrologer and entered his house. "Welcome Young man, you seem like a traveller", he welcomed him. "Yes sir, I am a visitor. I came here for some errands", he said. "I see. What is your name?" he asked.
"Jungkook, Jeon Jungkook", he said. "Jeon?! Are you also from a royal clan?" he asked. "Yes, but we lost our powers and the Kingdom long back", he said. "Yes yes, I have heard about your family", he replied.
"I came to know about my fortune. I have some work to do here. Will I be able to finish it successfully?" he asked. After calculating the stars, signs and everything, the astrologer cleared his throat.
"You have a great future. You will stay by the royals for all your lifetime", he said. He was not surprised as he was already serving for the Crown prince. After talking about random things, he finally decided to leave.
"Uhm, sir can I ask you a question?" Jungkook asked. "Who are those ladies who left while I came here?" he asked. "I am not obligated to tell you the details of my clients. I won't be telling you about it if someone asks. That's the ethics", he said.
Jungkook nodded his head in understanding and he left the place. But, you were stuck in his mind. Meanwhile, you reached the palace. You shook your head as you kept thinking about the guy.
"I don't have time for this", you tried to clear your mind. It was almost evening while you were spending your time in the garden. All the maids and the girls were having fun in the palace while you were thinking about your father.
"Lee Sang Tae and his brother, how should I bring them down", you were thinking of the possibilities. The two generals who were in charge of the palace were the masterminds behind the mess.
They have control and they never really allow anyone to visit the King except the Queen. Every decision is taken by them. Some of them are siding them while some of them stay quiet and wait for the Princes to arrive.

"Your Highness, a messenger has come to visit you", a maid informed. "Take him here", you said. He went to bring Jungkook. You were sitting on the bench. As soon as you saw him coming, you almost stood up which is highly unusual for a Princess.
He was very much surprised as well. He didn't speak for a minute. Once he got out of his shock and surprise, he immediately greeted you. You cleared your throat.
"Princess y/n, I am Jeon Jungkook, the messenger. I have a message from your brother, Kim Namjoon '', he politely handed you the letter. You took that from him. You gestured to him to sit.
The soldiers put a bench near you. He couldn't help but stare at you. You were reading the letter while he was reading your facial features. Your brother wrote that he was the most trusted friend of his.
"Did my brother mention anything about returning to capital?" you asked him. "No, your Highness", he responded. "He wrote that you are his most trusted friend, you are not just a messenger, right?!" you asked him.
"I am the commander of the North territory. He sent me because he was receiving a lot of letters asking him to return", he said. "I guessed", you said. Of course, someone with such a sturdy body can't be a simple man.
Your brother sent you a man overloaded with skills. "Jeon, has my brother ever mentioned why he is refusing to visit our home?" you asked him. Jungkook shook his head.
"He would always avoid the topic", he said. You sighed. Jungkook saw your face fall in disappointment. "Don't worry, Princess. He may have his reasons", he said.
"You got a visitor, I see", the honey voice of Park Jimin interrupted. "I wondered how you didn't come yet", you crossed your hands. "Oh! I met him on my way here. He was the one who guided me to the palace", Jungkook said.
"Wow! You caught him before I could", you said. "He is a well-known spy in this kingdom. No secret can be kept from him", you said. "A spy?! Then, how can he easily enter the palace?"Jungkook asked.

Jimin laughed. "I work for the Head minister. They are making me a bad guy. Princess, I was one step closer to befriending him. Don't scare him away", he whined. You just chuckled.
"Be careful with him. He has his ways to know everything", you said. Jungkook nodded. "Don't mind her. We can be friends", he patted his shoulder. Jungkook was quite shocked because he was telling him not to mind the Princess.
"What's the news?" Jimin asked you. "Don't act as if you don't know", you sighed. "I don't know, Princess", he said. My brother asked me to take care of our parents and not to worry about him.
He sent this young man as I couldn't trust anybody here, anymore", you said. "Oh, really?! Then please take care of our Princess. But, why will he be needed here? If you are going to stay here, you are safe", he said.
"Who said that I am going to stay here? I am planning to visit the capital", you said. Jimin nodded. "You might have to follow me", you said to Jungkook.
"Yes, Princes", he agreed. "By the way, Jimin, how is your sister? I barely hear anything about her", you said. "After getting married to General Lee's son, she stopped communicating with us. She barely writes letters", he said.
"Thinking about it, both the brothers ran away to their poles of the country after she went there", you clicked your tongue. "Can't you be a little nice to my sister?" Jimin fake coughed.
"What a great brother?! Defending the sister even after she gave up on her family", you scoffed. Jungkook slightly cracked up while listening to your conversation.
He immediately concealed his laughter when you looked at him. "I guess he has to stay with you. Take good care of him. Tomorrow morning, we are moving to the capital", you said. "Should I accompany you as well?" Jimin asked you.
"Don't you want to meet your sister?" you asked him. "Fine, I will accompany you", he agreed. They bid farewell to you. You went to inform your guards about the travel plan. "You can call me Jimin", Jimin said to Jungkook.
"Ah! Yeah", he shyly smiled. Jimin and Jungkook spoke about their lives and their past. "If you are not a royal family member, then how can you speak so informally with Princess y/n?" Jungkook asked.
"I grew up with them. Y/n, Taehyung and I were the closest friends. The crown Prince was quite older than us and he was mainly focusing on his personal development. Taehyung had so much freedom.
So, we always hung out together as kids. Soon, the Princess had her duties and responsibilities and Taehyung went to the Southern border once our Crown prince went to training.
"I believe that you are most important to the Crown Prince, please take care of y/n, the same way you took care of him", Jimin said. "Is Princess in danger? Everyone is telling me the same thing", he curiously asked.
"You will know once you go to the palace. She is the kind of person who has all the powers even that are equal to the King. She was patient with the generals so far. She wanted her brothers to take the positions.
I guess she finally decided to take action", he said. "Once she starts to interfere, they will try to bring her down", Jimin added. Jungkook lied down in the room which was given to him.
He saw the shining stars out of the window. "It looks like her eyes", he chuckled. "What am I thinking?! She is a Princess and let me stop crushing on her", he shut his eyes. His heart didn't obey him.

This story is told in a first-person limited, conversational style, with Emmett occasionally breaking the 4th wall and addressing the reader directly. This means that YOU and Emmett may have absolutely no idea why stuff is happening, because there will be little or no exposition or other POV's. Read the comments for spoilers, ask questions if you want to know something. This work incorporates blended aspects of Xianxia, Wuxia, Super powers, and Western Magic into a post-apocalyptic fantasy adventure. It is none of those things and all those things, mashed together. The MC is Over Powered, but so are many, many others. He just hasn't met them yet. Dear Student, What follows is an adaption of the diary of Emmett Carter before his Ascension. While the decades during and after the Aurora Apocalypse are lost to us, the Ascended himself has allowed us to publish this work so long as we warn the reader that it may not be entirely accurate or present an unbiased viewpoint of the events. One should also note that the Aurora was in flux during that time and some things that were possible in the early days are no longer possible, especially with the advent of the Akashic record. Editors have included footnotes when possible to explain pre-aurora technologies or concepts and how they relate to current magical technologies. The contents of this work may upset readers. If you’ve ever been in a natural disaster, had a house fire, witnessed a murder, lost a loved one to violence, or have a strong opinion on the sanctity of life, please do not read this. It contains dramatic scenes of a world in the throes of an apocalyptic event. There are no rainbows and unicorns, only loss, uncertainty, and death while the survivors struggle to rebuild their lives. Updates Thursdays and Sundays for now. Word count is about 2000 ~ 4000ish per chappie.
