A seemingly random initiatory task from the Bard College leads to a course of events she could never have projected. Brought up to the level of pro gamer for reasons she doesn't understand, she gradually begins to realize that her actions are having ramifications in a strange manner outside of the game. Inside the game she becomes an agent of the Balance, a small secret society few other players have even heard of. The puzzle pieces don't fit, however, until she begins to break some rules and blow some minds in a whole new way.
