We were at Mika's house, helping Mika set up everything for the party.
"I need a lil bit mo tape." Chiyah came over put the tape where I needed it.
"There we go." She said.
"You need some help?" I asked India.
"Naw I'm good." She replied.
"What should we do now?"
"Ion know." Chiyah said.
"How long til the party?"
"Like three hours." India answered.
"Well I'm hungry. What about y'all?"
"I could eat." India said.
"Yeahh." Chiyah said.
"I want some harolds." Chiyah said.
"Imma text Mika and see if she want something." India said.

"Damn, gurl u lookin a lil thick back there." Chiyah said to India.
"You see meee!" India said shakin ha ass.
I just laughed a little. Mika walked in.
"I just put the food and stuff out. Come out and socialize damn." She said.
"We just needed a lil break." India said.
"Well y'all break is over." She looked at me.
"Especially you! Let's go!" She linked arms with me and brought me out the room. The farther away we got from the room the louder the music got.
As we were walking, some dude said some.
"Aye Mika! Happy birthday ma!" He said.
"Thanks!" She said.
"Who dat?" He asked referring to me.
"This Monie. Monie this Kenny." Mika said.
"Wassgood ma?" He said.
"Hey."
"We gotta go. We can talk later." She said before dragging me to a couch with some people on it.
"Mika! Girl of the day." Some dude said.
"Yeah. Happy birthday shorty!" Some other nigga said.

"Who she?" One of the dudes asked.
"This Monie."
"Aw Wassgood? I'm Malik" He said.
"And I'm James." He said.
"Hello."
"Yeah um I'll be right back Monie. But talk to them they cool." Mika said lookin somewhere else.
"But-." She left before I could say much.
"..."
She bogus fa dat... I thought to myself.
"Soo how long you been around here?" Malik asked.
"Uhh some weeks..."
"Aw where you was at befo?" Malik asked.
"Somewhere..."
"Oh I'm getting the feelin I'm asking too much my bad. I'm just trynna get to kno you." He said.
"Rii let my bro get to know you." James added.
"The real question is do you have a nigga?" Kenny asked coming from behind me and standing beside me.
"Uhh not really..."
"Then how bout I fill up that spot?" He said smirking and puttin his arm around me.
Then Omar come outta nowhere moving his arm and getting in between us.
"The spot is filled nigga. Back off my girl." Omar said.
"She said she single bro." Kenny said.
"Don't matter what she said. I know what I just said." Omar said slipping his arm around my waste.
"Well look if she single, then I'm shootin my shot." Kenny said.
"Well you missin." Omar said.
"Well let's see what she say. How bout that?" Kenney said. They both looked at me.
"Uhh."
"Well? Can I fill dat spot?" Kenny asked.
"No. Sorry"
"It's coo ma. I'll catch you when yo lil nigga not around." Kenny said befo he left.
"Aye on that note, we out." Malik said gettin up and walkin away with James following him.

"Who was them?" Omar said facing me and slipping his other arm around me.
"I don't know. Just some dudes Mika introduced me to but then she left me."
"That's bogus." He said. I laid my head on his chest.
"I know right."
"Knowing you got that shy thing going on. She could've took you with ha." He said. I just stayed quiet.
"I'm finna get some fresh air." I said lifting my head up.
"Okay I'll meet you out there. Imma go get some to drink." He said.
"Kay." He let me go, and I walked to the front and sat on the porch outside.
I took a deep breathe. Just then I heard the door open and someone stepped out. It was Man Man. He look stressed.
"Damn. Oh wassup Monie." He said sitting down next to me.
"Hey.."
"Whatchu doin out here?" He asked.
"Just needed some air."
"You?"
"Same. Just needed to think." He said.
"Oh..."
"Where's Daeja?" I asked him. It seemed to make him a lil annoyed.
"Away from me." He said.
"Y'all broke up?"
"Naw. We just not in agreement right now." He said.
"Oh. Sorry for bein nosey."
"It's coo." He said. It got a little quiet.
"So when you lived in Atlanta-." He was cut off by Omar coming out with some drinks in hand.
"Wassup Man Man." He said handing me my drink. I took it.
"Wassup Omar." He said back. He stood up.
"What was it you was finna ask me?" I asked Man Man.
"Never mind. It ain't important."
"Okay." I said. He went back inside.
Omar down next to me. He put his arm around me and pulled me closer.
"You okay?" He asked.
"Yup. Just a lil tired. Not used to not being at home all the time."
"You ain't go out much befo you got ova hea?" He asked.
"No. Not really. I was always moving around, so ian really have no friends to go out with."
"Aw. Why you had to move around?" He asked.
"Some stuff. I don't really wanna get into it."
"Okay. Das cool.." He said.
"You wanna go home?" He asked.
"Nahh. We can go back inside."
"Okay. I'll introduce you to some people. I know Mika was supposed to." He said.
"Okay." We both stood up and went back in.
