4 weeks flew by. I had been doing more hours at work even though Harrison had told me countless of times not to, but I needed all the money I could get now that I would have to provide for another human in 6 months. "Y/n, you don't have to work more hours. I can help you out with money" Harrison said to me on the way to the hospital. "I know but it's your money and you've earned it" I replied staring out the window. "You're right. It is my money and I can do what I want with it. So I'm going to use it to help you buy everything you need for this child" he said turning a sharp corner. "You twat! Keep to your side of the road!" He shouted at another driver who came into our lane. "Haz, your money is yours. Mine is mine and my child's and I will use all of it if need be to get what is needed" I replied looking at him. "You are my sister and I will help you no matter what so shut up and listen" he said. I rolled my eyes. "I, me, am going to buy everything that is required and you are not going to say anything. I promised you I will help you and I will help you so end of discussion" he said. We drove into the hospital and parked. "I love you Haz" I said as we got out of the car. "And I love you too. Now please will you just go back to doing your normal hours? It's too much work and stress" he said as we were walking into the maternity ward. "I will. In two months" I replied. "Y/n y/m/n Osterfield" I told the receptionist. "Yep all booked in Miss Osterfield. If you would like to take a seat" she said. "Thank you" I said walking to sit down. "Y/n..." Haz started. "End of discussion" I said quickly. "Changing subject, are you going to find out if it's a boy or girl?" He asked. "You can't find that out until you're 4 months Haz, but I have been thinking about it. Do you want to know?" I asked him. He shrugged. "Not sure" he replied. "Well we have another month to think about it" I said smiling. "Miss Y/n Osterfield" the nurse called. Harrison and I got up and walked into the room.

"Everything is perfect and the baby is healthy!" The nurse exclaimed. "And it has a steady heartbeat too" she said. "Thank goodness" Harrison said as he released a breath he had been holding. "Would you like to see?" The nurse said to me. I nodded. She turned the screen so we could see. I couldn't believe it. There in front of me was my child. Their little head, hands and legs. "Y/n, are you okay?" Harrison asked squeezing my hand. I didn't realise I was crying. "Yeah. That's my child Haz. That's my child" I said crying harder and turning to hug him. "Would you like a photo?" The nurse asked. "Yes please" I said. She gave us five. I put one in my purse and I gave one to Harrison. "Here" I said passing it to him. He couldn't say anything as he was crying but he just hugged me.
We went to see Tom on our way back. "So tell me!!" Tom beamed. I got out the scan photo and showed him. He started welling up. He came over and hugged me. "Oh my god! Is everything alright? Healthy? Good heartbeat? Boy or girl?" "Tom, Tom. Everything's fine and going okay! Won't find out until I'm 20 weeks whether it's a boy or girl" I said laughing. "Well, I'm going to spoil it whatever it is!" He said handing me back the scan. "It's yours to keep" I said giving it back to him. He smiled and went and pinned it on his fridge. He couldn't stop looking at it. "I'm going to send one to Australia" I said sitting down. "It's only fair I do" I added on. "It may change their mind" Tom said handing me a cuppa. "Doubt it" Harrison piped in. "I also have one for your parents too Tom. They have been like parents to me so" I said. "They will love that y/n" he said coming and sitting down next to me.

Serve, or… I refused to be a mindless slave. My life was taken from me once. Never again. Luster
Growing up with her recently deceased mother’s addiction and her own struggles with gender identity, June Fujiwara was not a nice person. Gaining powers from nearly being murdered didn’t change that, and neither did becoming a mercenary to fund her transition. It took horrific manipulation, the resulting trauma, and the family that helped her through it all. Luster is a derivative work based on Worm by Wildbow (John C. McCrae) that begins prior to Worm and although it doesn't show straight away, the story is very AU.
