"Awh Freddie. You're much calmer than your sister was when we were getting her dressed" I cooed. It was 6 hours later and we were finally going home. I was getting Freddie dressed while Tom was sorting Elodie out. I had the most cutest homecoming outfit for him to wear.
As I was putting the outfit on, Elodie came running in. "Mummy, can I help please?" She asked. "Of course sweetie". Tom put her on the bed and she gently helped me dress Freddie. When we dressed him, Freddie took Elodie's finger and held it. "Looks like someone loves you Elodie" I smiled while trying not to cry.
We said goodbye and thank you to everyone and then we were on our way home. When we got home, Mum, Dad and Charlotte were outside waiting. "They can't even let us settle in" I moaned slightly. "Don't worry, it will be fine" Tom said stroking my hand. We parked up and got out. "Hello darling!" Mum said coming up and hugging me. "Hello" I said hugging her back. "So where is he?" She asked excitedly. "Mum, let us get in first" I said laughing a little. "Right, yeah sorry. I'm just excited" she responded. I just smiled. I went to get Elodie out, but Dad got there before me. "Sweetie, no lifting" Dad said while getting Elodie out. "Hi grandpa" she said. "Hello poppet. How are you?" Dad asked her. "Good thank you. Look at Freddie" she said pointing to the car seat. Tom had got Freddie out and was opening the door. "Oh y/n. Freddie is a beautiful name" Mum said coming up to hug me again. Charlotte had a tear rolling down her cheek and Dad was trying not to cry too.
"Where's Tessa?" Charlotte asked as we sat down on the sofa. "Haz and Eva are looking after her" I said while unbuckling Freddie. I picked him up and passed him to Charlotte. "Hello handsome" she cooed at him. "I want a cuddle" Mum said walking towards Charlotte. "And you'll get your turn in a minute" I said getting angry. "Darling, let Charlotte have a cuddle first" Dad said pulling Mum back. Mum went and sat down but you could tell she was angry. I couldn't take it any longer. "Why are you angry Mum?" I snapped. She looked over at me. "This is my first grandson and I want a cuddle" she snapped back. "And this is my first nephew so what's the difference?" Charlotte asked. "Look Mum, you don't see Dad moaning do you?" I said while trying to keep my cool. "Harrison is going to let me be the first to hold his child" she mumbled. "Well good for Harrison. You've favoured him from day one and you are more excited about his child than you were about Elodie and Freddie. I'm not dealing with this now so please leave" I said standing up and pointing to the door. "Y/n, pl..." she started. "No! I've had enough of your bullshit. Leave!". She looked at Dad and gave a "come on" look but he stood up and walked over to me and sat down. Charlotte didn't move either. Mum walked out and slammed the door shut which caused Freddie to start screaming. Dad took him out of Charlottes arms and comforted him. "It's okay, grandpas here".

Tom came downstairs with Elodie. He came in the living room and saw that Mum was gone. I shook my head and he got the message. "Mummy, this is for you" Elodie said as she came running to me with a present in her hand. "Oh darling. Thank you" I said as I took it from her. I opened it and it was a necklace. "Elodie, this is perfect" I said starting to cry. She kissed me on the cheek. "Also this is for Freddie" she said handing me another present. I opened it and it was a little blue knitted hat. It was beautiful. "This is gorgeous" I bawled. I hugged her. "I love you". "I love you too".
A couple hours later and Dad and Charlotte had left. It was just myself, Tom, Elodie and Freddie. Harrison said he would have Tessa for as long as we liked. I was grateful. Also Nikki, Dom and everyone had texted and said that they would be round tomorrow to meet Freddie. They wanted to make sure we were settled in first. It was 8pm and Elodie was asleep on Tom and Freddie was asleep on me. "Can you believe we are a family of 4?" Tom asked me. I shook my head. It was surreal. But it was amazing.

Wulfgard: The Hunt Never Ends
In the civilized world of humans, 'monsters' have all but passed into legend. But when something goes bump in the night, when people begin to disappear, when a dark mystery begins to haunt even the most peaceful villages, there is only one organization to turn to: the Hunters. The Venatori. Having lived a life of discipline and service, former soldier Caiden Voros finds something even worse than the wars of humans: the monsters that hunt them. Horrors yet unknown even to him and his many scars await in the claws, talons, fangs, and mysterious powers of creatures so far beyond humans that he must dedicate himself entirely to the art of slaying them. Harboring a secret of his own and in a constant struggle to find answers while maintaining his sanity, however, Caiden begins to ask the age-old question... Who is truly worse, the monsters or the Men? Wulfgard: The Hunt Never Ends is an episodic collection of stories, each of which stand on its own, but they also build upon each other in a consecutive order, bridging a gap between a novel and short story collection. These stories follow monster hunter Caiden Voros and his partner Gwen Vergil as they embark on tales of mystery, horror, and adventure to track down monsters - the living dead, beast-men, shape-shifters, spirits, and many more - that would do harm to innocent lives and, by whatever means necessary, put a stop to their terrors. Their motives, however, are not always what they seem.

Tales of the Legendary Scholar
They meet in the most unlikely moment and turned their life around. Freidrech newly arrived in his own nation's capital city, which is so foreign to him compared to his village's idyllic and nondiscriminatory atmosphere, after he is forced to come. Now, he is facing a royal prince and tells him to bow. This draws out one of his late father's teachings from the deepest recesses in his mind. "The blood of your great ancestors runs in your veins. Don't easily bow down to anyone, or accept suppression by any being, not even from a monarch, unless you pledge your allegiance to him. Also, giving in to oppression is directly telling the oppressor that you're easy prey and open for manipulation." He is uncertain on how to face this oppression right now. Will he bows or not? What will he do to uphold his father's words while keeping his life safe? As for the prince, Theodrech has nothing to do with Freidrech, so he wishes to let this slip, but the boy opens his mouth and proposes the most ludicrous challenge he ever heard and triggers his curiosity. "I, Freidrech Goederf Gerboud, son of the late Village Chief Louvel Gerboud of Wrilon, will challenge you, Your Highness, to a battle of riddles… If you win, I will not only bow but be your servant for the rest of my life." This amuses the prince. It is the first he met a boy of the same age who is not intimidated by the air of authority he projects. Rather, this boy challenges him. "Why are you so headstrong? In fact, bowing to me is an honor. You saw the King's noble Knights. When they saw me, they bowed," says Theodrech, testing Freidrech. "Allow me to be forward, Your Highness. For me, bowing to a monarch does not guarantee loyalty. If I were you, I rather have men who stand straight in my presence but who got my back, than bowing men who are dreaming of my death," replies Freidrech. The prince’s curiosity increases. A huge smile is seen on his face. Prince Theodrech decides to take Freidrech under his wing. Little did they know, this boy who Prince Theodrech takes in as his confidant and friend in the most ridiculous fashion is someone indispensable in his life and the one who can help him succeed the throne when he almost believes he has lost. Thus, the Tales of the Legendary Scholar begins. ------ o ------ Old Synopsis: A famous ancient adage stated, behind a successful man is a woman BUT… In these lands, the monarchs are seeking not a woman to stand behind them but the man hailed as the Legendary Scholar. However, this legendary figure starts off in life as a youngster of humble birth, a newly orphaned lad named Freidrech, who courageously faces the high-strung aristocrats and big-bellied bureaucrats in the kingdom. He is held in contempt as unscholarly, ignorant, and a plebeian from the hinterlands. But he proved them wrong. Not with an iron-clad fist of which he has none, but with his studious nature, ingeniousness, courage, wit, and honesty. Also, with the assistance of two ousted beings: a former aka 'great wizard', and a burly fairy. Follow Freidrech’s adventures, on how he wins the heart of the future king of Xaeviel, befriends outlaws, prevents the people from being slaughtered from an unknown plague, rerouting the enemies’ attacks when reinforcements are denied, secures Prince Theodrech’s claim to the throne in the midst of utter despair, and many more.
