《Finally》Chapter 14

"What are you doing here?"I ask Aiden, my voice breaking. I lift myself from the bed, wiping my sweat.
"You left and I knew where to find you. You're not very good at hiding." He seems a little calmer but not by a lot.
"I wasn't hiding. You were busy and noisy. Amelia was waking up and she needs to rest. So I brought her here." I whisper to him not wanting to wake Amelia up.
Aiden just nods.
"Let's talk outside, okay," I suggest to Aiden. While he just gives me a stiff nod. I lead him to the living room.
"Your mother let me in. She just left." Aiden informs me.
I nod.
Aiden walks to the sofa and sits waiting.
Right. His coffee.
I'm about to walk into the kitchen when his voice stopped me.
"Where are you going? We need to talk."
"About?" I sigh frustrated.
"Sit." He commands. I sit.
"What were you dreaming." Okay. Straight to the point.
Lie, come up with a quick one. Hurry.
"I sometimes have nightmares."I really need to work on my lying.
"Really." He raised a single eyebrow.
"Yes."
"Then why were you yelling." He tells me.
I swallow hard. "How long were you standing there. Watching me?" I ask him.
"Long enough."
"It's none of your business," I whisper as I let my head fall forward, my hair covering my face.
From the corner of my eye. I see Aiden fist his hands.
"Really." He questions.
"Yes. I'm just your life in maid. With my child."
"Our child." He says. I swing my head in his direction. I don’t trust him. For someone who prides themselves in being single and living the life being caught up with a child just doesn’t seem right.

"Did you know the risk you put her in. Walking alone and in the dark. How careless can you be?" By now his voice had risen its volume. Waking Amelia up. Her yells becoming louder.
I run to my room pick her up and take her to the living room.
I sit as far as possible from Aiden.
I hug Amelia close to my chest.
"She's mine, too. You know." Aiden's voice breaks the silence.
I look at him.
“You don’t like kids.” I tell him.
“How would you know? Have you ever seen me with one. Beside I knew Amelia when she was a newborn. I had met the Richards briefly a while ago and met this little one.” He grasp Amelia’s small fist. Which she rewards him with a smile.
“I don’t believe you.” Is all I can say. All he does it roll his eyes.
"Without me, you would never have a chance to have her." He arrogantly informs me.
"Why." One thing I need to know.
He looks at me confused.
"Why get her for me?"
He just grunts. He's too selfish, he has to have has a motive.
"I will go home with you. If you tell me." I bargain.
"You were going to come with me. Either way." Okay.
"Just tell me," I beg.
He looks as if debating.
"Okay. But let's go home."
Yes but no.
"I actually have to feed Amelia first so do you want something?"
"Coffee would be great."
I get up taking Amelia with me.
"Leave her with me," Aiden says. I hesitantly hand her to him. I fix his arms to carry her correctly. She looks like a tiny doll in his big arms. I kiss her chubby cheek. I look and see Aiden's face close to mine.

"Don't I get one?" He asks. He's must be kidding.
My eyes widen at his suggestion. I feel a blush coming up my cheeks.
Stupid blushing.
Aiden lets out a loud laugh, startling Amelia and I. I try to get her but Aiden just blocks her.
"You scared her. Give her to me." I claw at his shoulders.
"No, go make food. Besides she's not scared she's laughing." True to his word. Standing on my tippy toes I peek over his shoulder. I see Amelia with a big smile on her face. Drool coming out of her toothless mouth. I grab a rag from her baby bag and wipe.
"Beside her daddy is here to take care of his princess," Aiden says.
I look at him. I really just stare shock at what he just say. I think I look at a fish. Opening my mouth with nothing coming out. I shake my head and walk to the kitchen. Aiden is not normal. I get all the stuff and start cooking eggs, bacon, and toast. I start to walk to the living when I stop hide behind the corner watching Aiden with Amelia.
"Hey, there princess. I know we haven't gotten to know each other but soon we will. I will buy you anything you want. Mommy too. If she wants. We're going to live in my big house you were in yesterday. I'll hire someone to make your room all girly and pink. Your mommy will help. I'll just supervise. Also, I saw how your mommy had nightmares is it always like this. I want to help. She scared the shit out of me. Wait, shit... wait I mean dang don't repeat what I just said your mom will kill me but you'll protect me right." Aiden speaks to Amelia as if she would understand but from the looks of Amelia, she looks like she does. She lifts her small hand touch Aiden's face. He grabs her little fist in his big ones. I go back to the kitchen to laugh at Aiden little talk with Amelia. After I'm done giggling. To which I realize has been a long time since I have. I walk back to the living room with a small smile on my face.
"Breakfast is done." I open my arms to get Amelia but Aiden refuses.
"Are you going to feed her?" I ask him.
"Of course." I get her food and hand it to him. We go into the kitchen and eat breakfast.
I try not to laugh seeing Aiden attempting to feed Amelia.
"I quit." Aiden states. I let out a long, hard laugh. I'm wiping tears from my face.
"You think it's funny," Aiden ask.
I nod. He suddenly gets up from his chairs he stands tall. He turns his face towards me. He looks furious. I swallow hard. I drop my head, I hear something drop. Making a loud noise try not to flinch. But soon Aiden comes to stand in front of me. I feel sweat slide down my neck.
Please don't hurt me. I chant in my head.
He raises his hand.
I'm done.
I light my hands to my face. Close to tears. I beg.
"Please don't hurt me." I shaking. I feel hot and cold. I pray for him not to hurt me.
A big hand grips my small wrist. They pull my hands from my face.
Aiden's face close to mine. Expressionless.
"I would never hurt you intentionally. So explain. Now."
