Do you like it? Should I keep it? Yes or No?
I watched from afar as Antonio talked on his phone with a serious expression. Is he talking to Emmanuel? I try to focus on what he is trying to say but fail miserably. I looked to my right and saw Vito's full attention was on the movie playing on the tv. I cleared my throat, trying to get his attention but the idiot is too focused on the screen.
I cleared my throat louder this time and Vito jumped, turning his head to look at me "What is it?" He asked with scrunched eyebrows as he went back to facing the screen,
"Do you know who Antonio is on the phone with?" I asked, trying to sound casual.
"Why?" He responded with narrowed eyes "Oh just like that, he seems to be on the phone a lot these days" I replied quickly as I turned my head and faced the screen, taking a handful of popcorn and placing them in my mouth as I looked at Vito from the corner of my eyes.
"I don't know but it's probably work," He said getting the remote and putting the volume a little higher
"Ah I see," I sent him a quick smile, I checked the time and it was quarter to 4 "Well, Enjoy the movie" I said, getting up "I need to be somewhere right now" He nodded his head as I walked out of the living room and made my way to my room.
I changed into something presentable, I made my way downstairs and to the door but before I could pull open the door Antonio's voice cut through the silence "Where are you going?"
I turned my head and looked at Antonio, his arms were crossed. "Out." Was my simple reply

"And where is 'out'?" He asked
"Shopping. Now can I go?" I said, impatiently
"With who?" He asked and I let out a sigh of annoyance
"Brianna" I answered
He thought for it for a moment "Don't do anything stupid" He says and I smiled as I pulled the door open, I walked to my bike and started it.
I drove to the hideout and reached there in 5 minutes, I got out of my bike and made my way inside and to the elevator.
I heard harsh whispers when I entered the hideout and I saw Brianna and Joshua whispering to each other and I scrunched my brows. They didn't seem to hear me enter and by the looks on their faces it looks like they were having a serious talk.
I cleared my throat and they're heads snapped to my direction, I raised my eyebrows questioningly.
"Oh hey," Brianna greets
Why does she look nervous?
I heard the elevator door slide open and I turned around and saw Xavier come in. His eyes moved around before they met mine, I gave him a wave as he made his way here.
He gives me a nod before his eyes move to Brianna and Josh and I turn to see them, I saw Joshua's mouth open in shock and Bri looks like she has seen a ghost.
Something isn't right.
"Brianna," I said, snapping my fingers in front of her frozen state "Sara, w-what is he doing here?" She asked, shocked.
I stared at her face "What do you mean what is he doing here? I called him here?" I replied, looking at her weirdly.
"What Brianna means is that... He knows?" Josh asked before she could speak.
Oh right, I didn't tell them.

"Yeah, he does," I informed Joshua, he slowly nodded his head, eyeing Xavier who had his hands in his pocket as he looked around.
"Is something wrong?" I asked and Joshua's head snapped to my direction.
"Hm?" He looked confused
"You guys looked like you were in a pretty serious conversation, Is something wrong?" I repeated myself and he immediately shook his head
"No!" He answered and I nodded my head.
"There is a reason I called him here today" I said and Xavier turned his attention to me,
"You're dad is the leader of the Galician mafia, right?" I asked him and I felt him grow tense as he stared at me with those blue eyes.
"Yes," He responded after a while of silence "Then why is he after you? Why does he want to kill you?" I asked him,
I waited for him to respond but he stayed silent.
"What is this an interrogation?" He says looking at me with a raised brow "What is this even about?"
"We need your help" I replied, I felt Brianna and Joshua's eyes burning holes at the side of my head "You need my help?" He says and I nodded my head "With what?"
"I want you to help me find out who murdered James Smith?" I asked as I looked at him for any reaction towards his name but found none as he looked at me with a blank expression "Why?"
"That's not important, are you going to help or not?" I asked him "I think it is important if you want me to help you." He reasoned I was about to speak but Brianna's voice cut me off
"Sara, can I talk to you for a moment?" I looked at her before I nodded my head "I'll be back in a minute," I tell Xavier as I follow Bri.
"We don't need his help!" Brianna said and I stared at her with confusion "Why not?" I asked, I noticed the anger in her eyes "Is there something you're not telling me?" I asked, narrowing my eyes at her
"What?! No!" She answered, a little to quickly
"I don't see a problem asking for help" I said and she gritted her teeth together, I started walking back when I felt Brianna grab my arm "What is wrong with you?" I said "Just hear me out!" She pleads,
"I don't have time for this" I said, removing my arm from her grasp as I walk to where Xavier and Josh are but when I reached there Xavier was nowhere in sight and Joshua was casually typing something "Where is Xavier?" I asked him "Oh, he left" He answered.
He left!? He can't just leave. Did I make him mad? Is that why he left? Wait, I don't care if I made him mad.
Then why did he leave?
Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in the side of my neck and my vision blurred as black dots started to appear. I hit the ground as I tried my hardest to keep my eyes open, I blinked several times but failed as I felt my eyes close. The last thing I heard was Brianna and Joshua talking.
What the hell?

But when an object of great and malevolent power promises to make good on all the promises the mages broke to him Mar is thrust into the world of magic. Mar will find that fate had something more than a life confined to the library planned for him after all. Authors Notes: I consider this to be a comming-of-age Sword and Sorcery story based mostly on the style of classic western fantasies. So if that's your thing then I encourage you to take a peek. Something I want to mention though is that the main character starts of pretty wimpy, and that might not be your thing. That being said, if you stick with him he's got a long way to grow. Also, while this version of the story is meant to be fully readable, more dicerning readers may want to wait until I move out of rough draft phase. There may be some inconsistancies with character and plot while I am still in the rough draft phase. I'm sorry for this, but this is my first web novel and from what I've read the best way to get a good novel out is to write write write, and then edit ruthlessly after you're finished with the book, so that's the plan I'm going to follow. Again, this is a rough draft. Everything you are reading is subject to change, including the name, title, and cover photo. This may no longer be the case once I've decided I know where this fiction is going and I have a reasonable understanding of the characters and their behavior. You're reading what comes off my keyboard as it's made, with very limited editing. There will be mistakes in the text. I do a quick spell check to take out the worst of the errors, but there will be some I miss. You can point them out in the comments if they are particularly confusing or glaring and I will try to fix them, however I am not overly concerned about minor errors as this is not the final draft by any means.

Time Can't Heal This
I've always hated the saying "Time heals all wounds." Maybe in most cases that may be true. In my experience with life and pain however, time has only ever bled out the wound. The scars that the wounds left behind though, are often so deep that just looking at them becomes painful to the mind. Time only heals what you let go of. Sometimes letting go and moving on just doesn't feel possible; no matter how much time you let pass you by.These poems signify what time hasn't healed for me.
