《Finally Happy》Chapter 47

Light footsteps could be heard, echoing down the staircase as light mumbling and yawning followed. Sasuke turned around to see the dobe entering the dining room, wearing a white and orange striped shirt that was inside out with a pair of blue jeans with mismatched socks. Overall he looked a like a mess.
'A cute mess.' Sasuke smirked amusedly, seeing Naruto flop down on the chair and lay his head on the table. A quiet 'good morning' mumbled out of the blonde as he looked up to see Sasuke. The raven laid down a bowl of cereal in front of the sleeping dobe and laughed.
"You do realise your shirt is inside out right? And you're wearing two completely different socks?" He smirked amusedly. Naruto got up and looked at the raven in confusion. Looking down, he saw what Sasuke meant.
"Ah crap! I'll be back in a sec." Naruto exclaimed, rushing out the door.
"So, you're going in the bus?" Sasuke asked, turning to look at Naruto. The blonde smiled and nodded.
"Yeah, usually there is only a few people." He said, beaming at the raven. Smiling back, Sasuke patted the blonde locks.
"Do you mind if I tag along?" He asked. Naruto looked at him in surprise.
"You want to come with me?" The blonde asked. Sasuke just shrugged in return.
"So it's a yes or no?"
Naruto grinned happily. "Yeah sure! I don't mind." Looking back at the teme, he smirked. Suddenly he burst into a sprint.
"Race you to the bus-stop teme!" He exclaimed, laughing when he heard Sasuke shout 'dobe!' from behind him. The loud stamping of footsteps followed behind him as he ran towards the familiar bus-stop where he halted. Suddenly he felt his head become entrapped in a headlock, knuckles rubbing against his scalp.
"Hahaha! Teme it hurts!" The blonde struggled against the submission. Sasuke let go, smirking triumphantly. At that moment, the bus arrived. The boys got in and went to the back of the bus. Naruto curled up himself by the corner window seat, while Sasuke sat beside him. They sat like that in silence for a while until the blonde spoke up.

"Hey Sasuke?" He asked.
"Hm?" Sasuke hummed, not looking up from his phone.
"Uh... did you tell that guy yet? You know, about how you feel about him?" Naruto asked softly, doubting if this topic was okay to talk about. Sasuke immediately froze, his fingers stopped in their tracks, onxy eyes wide. Naruto panicked and quickly backtracked his words.
"Ehh! I-I'm sorry! We-"
"No I haven't." Sasuke simply answered, his eyes downcast. The blonde felt guilt seep into him.
'Stupid idiot! Why did you have to go remind him! Now he is sad!' Naruto berated himself.
"Why not?" He softly asked, his cerulean eyes trained in on his teme. Sasuke just shrugged his shoulders. He turned his head to look at Naruto.
"Does it matter?" He whispered. Naruto's eyes widened, shocked at the seeing the amount of emotion on Sasuke's face and he felt his heart break.
'The teme must really love this person.' He thought, trying not to show any sadness in front of Sasuke.
"I've done some horrible things to him. He deserves better anyway." Sasuke said. He felt happy, seeing the caring blue eyes look at him so softly, hearing the sweet tone of his dobe's voice.
'I'm surprised he's my friend let alone loving me.' Sasuke thought.
"What if he has forgiven you? Or feels the same way?" Naruto asked, his head cocked to the side cutely. Sasuke in turn smiled and said,
"I'll be damned then."
At school
"Hey Naruto." A deep voice resonated behind him. The blonde turned around to see Gaara and he smiled brightly.
"Hey Gaara!" He exclaimed, slinging an arm around the red-head's shoulder. Gaara smiled slightly at, not minding the physical contact. The students around them stared in shock, as the two boys passed by, wondering why Gaara was so friendly with the blonde.
"Wanna hang out after school?" The blonde asked, looking at sea-foam eyes excitedly. Gaara nodded.

"I will, if you don't bunk the last period." He said, looking at Naruto accusingly. Naruto in reply, pouted childishly.
"Aww fine, I won't. Let's go to the park nearby!" He said, laughing at the satisfactory smirk on Gaara's face. With that, the two boys separated and went to their respective classes. Entering his final class, Naruto walked to his seat. He heard giggling in the corner and turned to see Sakura and her friends laughing. When green eyes caught his, an evil smirk emerged on the pinkette's face before she turned to look at her friends. Naruto shivered, feeling chills down his spine and suddenly, he felt very uneasy.
He turned to look at Sasuke, who was discussing some work with Shikamaru. Sighing, he laid his head down on the desk.
'Geez, stop being so paranoid you idiot.' Naruto mentally scolded himself.
Suddenly a clapping sound, broke the murmuring in the class and Sakura's voice filled the room.
"Attention guys!" Sakura screeched, a evil smile stretching across her face. Everyone turned to her, confused by the announcement.
"What do you want Sakura?" Kankuro asked, bored eyes watching her.
"Oh nothing much, just some really interesting information." She drawled, the girls behind her giggling. The pinkette turned to look at Kiba, his face going pale, knowing exactly what she was going to do. Sakura winked at him and walked closer to Naruto's desk. Sasuke from his seat began to frown.
'What the fuck is she doing?' He thought, trying to come up with answers.
Standing in from of the blonde's desk, she towered over Naruto, her eyes filled with hate. Going on the phone for a second, she placed it in front of the blonde, screen down. Suddenly an audio clip began to play and Naruto's eyes widened.
'Wha-a... this wa-s-s bac-k-k in the c-closet. W-with Kiba... No no no no!' Naruto's mind went into a frenzy but his body couldn't move. Fear paralysed him.
"You think Sasuke would fall for a fag like you? He has tons of chicks after him, why the hell would he want you?"
"What? How do you know?"
The clip stopped and Naruto was shaking in fear. He didn't dare turn around to see Sasuke's reaction. The raven was so shocked, his eyes widened with surprise. It was silent for a while before Sakura spoke.
"That's right everyone. This blonde loser here is a faggot as well!" She screeched, her evil eyes looking down at Naruto.
"So what do you have to say huh? You're disgusting. As if my Sasuke would ever love you." She said, her smile widening when small tears begin to gather around blue eyes.
Naruto felt the air leave his lungs. The room began to feel so small. He felt congested, blocked and scared. He needed to get out. He needed to get out before he would break down. The remarks around him blurred as his mind went into shut down. Laughter filled the room and all Naruto wanted to do was to curl up and cry in a corner.
'Fag!'
'Disgusting!'
'He'll never love you!'
Suddenly, he got up. A loud bang resonated through the room and he ran towards the door, slamming it open and running where ever his legs took him.
Back in the room, Sakura was laughing as well as Naruto's bullies. Her eyes looked towards Sasuke who was still shell-shocked.
'Naruto... he loves me? My angel loves me?' He thought, pinching himself to see if it was a dream. His heart was filled with happiness and he wanted to rejoice until his mind caught up with the events and anger consumed him, when he looked at Sakura looking back at him.
Icy cold onxy eyes looked at Sakura before a hate-filled whisper broke cut through the laughter.
"I hate you..."

The Core of a Factory
An abandoned steampunk arms factory, in the middle of a conflict torn former state of the Empire it served, gains a soul. This transforms it into a Lord, capable of turning land into power. Beset by enemies on all sides it must figure out how to win the war its creators lost a century ago. This is a progressive Dungeon Core novel (which is to say the core will progress and expand in scale, eventually) across multiple dimensions with different characteristics (e.g. steampunk, magic, mythological). It has rationalist leanings (paragraphs of reasoning) and litrpg leanings (there are stat blocks). The core game mechanical idea is something like "what if different flavors of magic power actually did come from controlling land" and then the story is: "what if there was a flavorless (artifact deck) dungeon core". Chapters will be relatively short (my aim is that in three column format each would fit on a wide screen monitor), the first few chapters - setting up the main character and mechanics - are currently the longest in the entire series. I write chapters in blocks, and then release them one a weekday (M-F; 6 PM GMT, unless RoyalRoad's publish thing screws up) until I run out. There may be a few days of gaps here and there if someone finds an egregious error I have to re-write around or if I am behind. In general though one can read this once a weekend. I may do slight retconns and edits, I'll make sure to put it in an authors note if I do.

Shakespeare's 154 Sonnets (Completed )
Shakespeare's Sonnets is the title of a collection of 154 sonnets by William Shakespeare, which covers themes such as the passage of time, love, beauty and mortality. The first 126 sonnets are addressed to a young man; the last 28 to a woman. The sonnets are almost all constructed from three quatrains, which are four-line stanzas, and a final couplet composed in iambic pentameter. This is also the meter used extensively in Shakespeare's plays. The rhyme scheme is abab cdcd efef gg. Sonnets using this scheme are known as Shakespearean sonnets. Often, the beginning of the third quatrain marks the volta ("turn"), or the line in which the mood of the poem shifts, and the poet expresses a revelation or epiphany.
