"Wake up lovebirds! Rise and shine baby pies!" someone sang in a sing-song voice, it was high pitched and feminine. I knew immediately who it was. Blake groaned and held me tighter to his chest, "No, go away." The person obviously couldn't take no as an answer because suddenly I felt someone literally leap onto the bed, body slamming us, partially suffocating Blake and I. Blake growled and pushed the person off us, "Get off." Air filled my lungs again as the weight lifted off. The person fell to the floor with a thump, "Ouch, my poor butt!" she whined. Blake smiled and kissed my forehead, I cuddled into him, ready to doze back to sleep, "Peace at last." he mumbled. Sadly the silence and peace lasted for only about 2 seconds.
"Ra da da da da da da da circus/ Da da da da da da da da afro/ Circus afro, circus afro, polka dot polka dot afro!"
This time I was the one that groaned, frustrated and wanting nothing more than to slip off into slumberland and snuggle Blake all day. I buried my head under my pillow, yelling out, "Let us sleep Charlotte!" My voice came out muffled because of the pillow. Charlotte stopped singing, "How did you know it was me?" she questioned. "Who else with a sane mind would wake up anyone singing that awful song from Madagascar," I deadpanned. Charlotte gasped dramatically, mock hurt in her tone, "Meanie! I am perfectly sane thank you very much." I uncovered my face, looking at her with playful eyes, "Love you, Char Char!" Charlotte rolled her eyes, "Yeah yeah, whatever. Get up. Come on Paws, I heard that grumbling stomach of yours. Maybe there's some leftover from last night's dinner for you." She then pranced out of the room followed by a hungry Paws, who was tired of waiting for us to wake up and feed him. I struggled to wiggle myself out of Blake tight grip, "Come on Blake! We can't stay in bed all day! We have a lot to do today remember?" Blake grumbled and held on to me tighter, breathing in deeply my scent. "Mmhm five more minutes little one, it's comfy here," he answered dismissively, clearly ready to go back to sleep. I giggled and softly slapped his arm, "Let me go you, big oaf! Time to get up Mr. Alpha." Blake chuckled and finally unwrapped his strong muscular arms, "Alright alright, I'm up! But be ready for more cuddles tonight." With a wink, he got up and headed to the bathroom.
While Blake was in the bathroom, I took the chance to get out of my pajamas and slip on a plain black sports bra, some exercise shorts, and my trusty Nike running shoes. I then put my hair in a high ponytail and add a sports headband to complete the look. I heard the door click and open. Blake came out shirtless, with only a pair of navy blue gym shorts. Those godlike abs were on full display and I could not help but admire them. Blake grinned and walked over to where I was, back hugging me, "Like what you see?" I blushed and looked down, "Yes." I mumbled shyly. Blake laughed and whispered huskily in my ear, "I'm all yours little one." My face was getting overwhelming hot, I probably looked like an overripe tomato. I got out of his grips and dashed to the bathroom, locking the door behind me. "Don't tease me!" I shouted from behind the door. Blake chuckled, "You are a cutie."

Blake held my hand as we descended the stairs, "I wonder what we are having for breakfast." I sniffed the air, "Bacon...eggs...and...pancakes!" I concluded. Blake sniffed the air as well and grinned, "You're correct little one!" I giggled, "Let's hurry then silly! I'm starving." I tugged on his hand urging him to walk faster towards the dining room. Blake laughed and allowed me to pull him along. We entered the dining room and greeted everyone before sitting down in the same seats as last night. For a moment, I forgot that I was in the same house as Alec and Xavier, I forgot that I was in their territory. Being with Blake had that effect, it makes me forget all the bads. Alec turned to face me and gave me a little smile to which I politely returned with one of my own. Maybe sometime soon I'll find it in my heart to forgive him. Maybe.
Blake served me a plate full of fluffy pancakes, crispy bacon, and scrambled eggs. I smiled gratefully at him before digging in. The Moonlight Pack watched in sadness as I scarfed down my food as if it was my last. It has become a habit of mine to eat a meal as fast as I could in fear of having taken away or it was my last and it is a fear that will most likely never disappear. Even though I always have plentiful amounts of food now, my past still affected me, causing me to be constantly wary and fearful around food. Once breakfast was over, it was time to train. "Let me take you guys to the training grounds. Everyone should be there and ready already," said Alec. The Crescent Moon Pack followed him on a gravel path in the forest before reaching a clear plain field, where all the Moonlight Pack were lined up in an orderly fashion. Since I was not allowed to train when I was part of the Moonlight Pack, it was my first time seeing the training grounds. It was big, trees surrounded the field, the land was flat and covered with grass, crisped from the morning air.
The Crescent Moon Pack stood in front, "Hello Moonlight Pack, I'm Alpha Blake, this is my right-hand man, Jake and his mate, Jamie. This is my Delta, Maxwell and his mate Charlotte. And finally, I'm sure you all know this person, this is my girlfriend, Evangeline." Blake introduced us in his bellowing Alpha voice. I blushed instantly when he said "girlfriend", shyly hiding my flushed face on Jamie's shoulder. Jamie just laughed and patted my head like one would do on a small child.
"Girlfriend?! She is my mate!" yelled out Xavier, his voice filled with anger, jealousy, and betrayal. I flinched at his harsh voice, shrinking back in fear, hiding securely behind Jamie's back. Blake growled, enraged, his powerful authoritative Alpha voice rang around the field like thunder, "You have no rights to speak to her Xavier. Say one more thing related to Evangeline and we will not hesitate to pack up and leave." I nervously peeked from behind Jamie to see Xavier hanging his head, his hair hanging over his eyes and his lips sealed shut. I have never seen his so venerable and miserable, I almost felt sorry for him. Almost.
"We will spilt into groups randomly, each group will have a Crescent Moon Pack leader. Treat my pack with the utmost respect, listen to their instruction and advice and do as you are said. If I even hear one word of complaint, you leave the training field immediately. You all are here to work hard, to sweat and to improve." instructed Blake, his voice clear and authoritative, just like how a true Alpha's voice should be. The Moonlight Pack nodded in unison, not daring to speak up and defy an Alpha, even if he was not their Alpha. The groups were made by simply splitting the large pack into six smaller groups. We all separated on different parts of the field, far from each other so that we won't have to worry about running into each other or any disturbance. Just my luck, my group had Xavier in it. Blake tried to switch but gave up as Xavier kept on refusing. Realizing that the stubborn Alpha will not budge and not wanting to waste any more time, Blake shot an apologetic look and turned back to his own group who was waiting patiently and quietly for their first instructions.

I crossed my arms and smiled forcefully at the group, I recognized some faces. "Alright, we will start with a light warm up. You will run around this field ten times and then drop and do a hundred push ups and sit ups. After that, I will demonstrate a few attacking moves and you will pair up and practice with your partners." I heard some groans and moans but nevertheless, the group obeyed and started warming up. Only Xavier stayed behind, "How strong did you get Evangeline? I doubt you improved much, if not at all." I looked down and avoided his eyes, my confidence disappearing all at once. "I mean look at you, how can you be a warrior?" continued Xavier. Something in me snapped, I glanced up and boldly met his eyes, a burning flame in my normal serene green eyes as anger clouded my vision, "Do not underestimate me. If you want me to prove how strong I have gotten, fight me." Xavier smirked, "You want to fight against me? An Alpha? Okay, bring it on but don't cry too much when you lose," he sneered, taunting me. I glared at him, not backing down, "Let's start now."
Hearing all the commotion, my group stopped warming up and came over, curious, intrigued, and anxious to see the fight. I let them since they could learn a thing or two from watching. took a deep breath and let Winter take over. It was the first time that the Moonlight Pack will meet Winter. We shifted into our pure white wolf form, our bright cobalt blue eyes roamed around meeting stares of our group and Xavier. Looks of astonishment and awe were thrown our way and many gasped could be heard. The most surprised of all was Xavier, his mouth was agape and his eyes wide. "You're a white wolf? What... but how?" he gasped out, spluttering over his words as he struggled to comprehend. In the werewolf world, white wolves are very rare, only one in ten million pups are blessed by the Moon goddess with pure white fur. White wolves can only be female, we are bigger and stronger than the normal female werewolves. Having a white wolf in your pack is a powerful weapon, as the wolf is born with an instinct to fight and skills to learn fast.
We blinked, acknowledging the stares before bearing our teeth aggressively at Xavier, ready to fight. Ready to show him that we were not the same weak girl anymore, that we are a true warrior and lived up to our title. Everyone gathered around, forming a large circle around us, leaving enough room for the fight to take place. Xavier smirked and shifted into his large and dominating pitch black wolf. His wolf was larger than mine, He towered over me and casting a dark shadow on my pure white fur. Lesson one, height, gender and size does not matter if you have the skills you can beat any werewolves. A cocky grin was thrown my way, full of arrogance and ignorance as if to say that this will be an easy fight.
We attacked first, skillfully pinning them, slamming them into the ground. They growled and used their strength to throw us off. We landed on our feet and glared at them before attacking again, only to be thrown off once again. They smirked as if to say that this was too easy. "Evangeline, let me take over. Trust me. We have to win this, we can't afford to lose." Winter spoke, her tone strong and determined. I agreed with her and trust her completely, let her take full control of my mind and body. Regressing to the back, letting my wolf side take over my human side, letting Winter take over my soul completely.
"Evangeline, come back." called out Winter, she sounded exhausted but happy at the same time. I slowly let my human side come back,"What happened?" I asked, hope clear as day in my tone as I waited for the news. "We won." Those words echoed over and over in my head, unable to believe that we actually beat Xavier. Pride filled my chest as I congratulated my wolf. She truly was tough and fierce on her own, I thank the Moon goddess over and over again for her. Xavier was still in wolf form, his battered and panting body struggled to stand, a huge bleeding wound on his side was already starting to heal. Once he was healed, his breathing gradually returned to normal. He walked behind a tree and shifted back, he came out shirtless and wearing loose gym shorts. He wordlessly handed me a plain shirt, long enough to cover my entire body when I shift back to my human form. I mirrored his actions, coming out when I was sure that I was completely covered.
Everyone eyes were on me, looks of disbelief and also admiration filled their gazes. I turned to Xavier and stated, loudly and clearly, "Never underestimate me again." Xavier reached out and held up his hand, waiting for me to shake his hand, "You really did get stronger, I am impressed. I have never seen a werewolf become a full wolf and not lose control, losing their human side forever." Hesitantly, I reached out and shook his hand, it was the polite thing to do. Unwanted sparks caused a tingling feeling in my hand. After shaking it up and down once, his hand tightened around mine. I struggled to free my hand but he held on, refusing to let go. More sparks flew up my arm, the mate bond making my heart beat wildly, an invisible attraction pulling me closer. "Please let go." I whimpered, the mate bond, the only connection between us, paining me, reminding me that this was my mate, the one I was destined to be with.
"You can feel it can't you? The mate bond." Xavier spoke, his voice husky. I shook my head, "No, I don't feel anything. Now let me go before I mind link Blake," my voice shaky and meek. Xavier reluctantly lets go of my hand, "I felt sparks Evangeline and I know you did too. You are my mate and soon you won't be able to resist the mate bond." My confidence returned in a flash, his words angered me, with a defiant and fierce voice I spoke up, "I will never be yours."
