《A Harry Potter Love Story: Gracie Style *Completed*》Chapter 8

We walked to Hogsmeade quickly. "We're going to the Hog's Head bar." Mione pointed at a small shack like building a few yards away. Harry and I looked at her skeptically, then eyed the building. "Not many people come here. It'll be more private, plus, Umbridge goes to the Three Broomsticks. We could get caught!"
"Or we could have given Mum the list of people to get through and had the meeting upstairs?" I asked, raising an eyebrow at her. She face palmed, shaking her head. "It's fine Mione. This'll work! And your right, we may still have been overheard!" I smiled, putting a hand on her shoulder sympathetically.
"We're here!" Ron and Ginny ran up, panting. Luna and Neville were with them, smiling happily. I smiled, waving at the two of them.
"Hey!" Neville said, pushing open the door. It was dark and damp inside, and there was an odd figure in the corner, one coated in black lace robes, hiding their face. I shivered, looking away. In the corner were all the people on the list and a few more.
We walked over, sitting at a table around them. Mione started her speech, and the group was listening intently, except the Slytherin and Seamus. "How do we know you know who is really back?"
"I'm hearing that name Mione!" I hissed, glaring at Seamus. He blushed, hanging his head low. I rolled my eyes, leaning back in my seat and crossed my arms and legs. Harry wrapped his arm around the back of my chair, kissing the top of my head.
"Look. If your only here because your hoping to get information about that graveyard, you might as well leave!" Harry sighed, looking out the window. I nodded gravely, squeezing my eyes shut as the memory flashed through my mind.
"Fighting Voldemort, and what we do in school, are two totally different things. When your out there, fighting for your life, you don't have time to think. You have to react. Go by instinct and hope it's right!" I whispered, keeping my eyes closed. I sat up straight though, grabbing Harry's hand. I hate this, I hate seeing it over and over again.
"She's right. There's no time to stop and think. You have to go. They're trying to kill you, so you can't be shy. Do whatever you have to do to survive. Cedric's death was horrible, and hurt a lot of people, but I don't think he would want everyone knowing his story. Just know that what he did made him a hero!" Harry said, standing up. He pulled me to my feet. "Lets go."
"Is it true you two can create a patronus?" Luna asked, that dreamy smile on her face. I finally opened my eyes at this one. I nodded simply, while Harry looked shocked.
"It's true! Harry fought off about a hundred at once in third year!" Mione stated, looking happier. Nat and Ron nodded, but I looked at Harry in confusion.
"Er, after the attack." He muttered, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly. I nodded, smiling up at him.
"Blimey Harry!" Lee started, eyes wide. "I didn't know you could do that!"
"He saved Gracie from Voldemort and a basilisk in second year!" Neville pointed at us. "And Gracie was only down there because she caught him taking Ginny and told him to take her instead!" Neville smiled, but stuttered over Tom's name. I smiled sheepishly, staring at my feet.
"And they faced him in first year!" Nat said, putting her arms around us. "Ah, the early days before this young couple were together!" She chirped, ruffling our hair. I chuckled, shoving her away playfully.

"And they really did face, V, Vo, Voldemort in that graveyard last year!" Mione finished, her face deadpanned and everyone shuttered.
"Look guys," I sighed, looking at each of them.
"It all sounds great when you say it like that!" Harry continued, looking each of them in the eye as I did.
"But we almost always had help. Harry's always saving me!"
"That's not true! You saved me from my broom our first match, remember?"
"Yeah and then you saved me in the chamber and one other time I can't remember, but you still saved me like twice in two years!" I hissed, we began arguing back and forth, glaring at each other.
"But you freed your dad from a false sentence to Azkaban and saved Ginny!" He smirked, crossing his arms. I didn't bother to whisper anymore. "And you survived that bloody snake attack!"
"Yeah yeah. And who fought off a hundred dementors? Who made it out of the first task last year better?"
"You! you won!" He groaned, tilting his head back. I rolled my eyes because that was not my point. "And you saved me from the lake!"
"You could have left me in that graveyard last year, but you didn't, did you?" I said, glaring at him more, waving my arms around frantically, counting things off on my fingers.
"No I couldn't have! I wasn't going anywhere with out you!" He pulled me into his arms, hugging me tightly. I hugged him back, then looked up at him, with a smile.
"Thank you!" I whispered, kissing him softly. He smiled, about to say something, but Nat interrupted.
"Hey! Yeah! You two! We're still here!" She snapped, crossing her arms angrily. She went over to sit on Fred, who welcomed we happily. I wonder if they've? No. Not the time.
"Er, sorry." I mumbled, blushing brightly. I stared at my shoes again, letting Harry wrap it up.
"Look. We've agreed to this because we think you guys deserve to know what your going to be facing. Do we think we're the best qualified? No. But apparently this lot does!" He gestured to Mione, Ginny, Ron, and Nat, who nodded quickly. Harry and I exchanged a glance, rolling our eyes. "But your not going to learn anything through theory. And by joining, you're risking getting in trouble with Umbridge."
"So no snitches, got that?" Nat snapped, glaring at Blaze Zambini specifically. Everyone nodded. She looked back up front and gave us a nod to continue.
"But, you can also learn a few things that will come in handy. Some things you may already know, some you won't and will have to learn. We've got a variety of people and years here, meaning everyone will be moving at a different pace. So if your not quite up there with everyone else, don't get down on yourself!" I smiled, looking at the second years that were staring up at Harry and I with wide eyes and open mouths.
"Okay Gracie. We get it, your the team motivator!" Ginny giggled, nudging me playfully. I rolled my eyes once again, shoving her back. We laughed, giving each other side hugs. "You guys will love Professor Gracie! I've lived with her my whole life, and I can promise you,"
"She's a complete nutter!" Ron snickered, I poked my tongue out at him childishly.
"We can agree to that!" Fred and George chorused, smirking at me. I glared at them while people chuckled.

"I am not!"
"Hey Gracie!" Nat smirked, her eyes glinting evilly. "What was that you used to say? Purple because what?" Harry burst into laughter, clutching at his stomach.
"Because aliens don't wear hats!" He laughed, smiling at me fondly. I returned it for a minute, then noticed more people were laughing.
"First rule, no picking on the teacher!" I huffed, crossing my arms defiantly. More people laughed an giggled at my expense. Not so fun. "That was one time and I was trying to confuse Harry so he would quit asking me a question I don't remember now. I'm not a nutter! I'm just a bit, er. Mione? Word help?" I begged, turning to her. She rolled her eyes with a smirk.
"Random. But very funny!" She smiled, pulling out a list. I nodded happily, approving of her words. "Okay, so, now that you know what your getting yourself into, here's the sign up sheet!" She smiled, placing it and a quill on the table. Everyone got up and signed, ending with our group. As people were writing, I noticed a faint flow, but I was sure I imagined it. When I signed and saw it, I was positive.
"You charmed the sign up sheet?" I whispered, leaning closer to Mione. She nodded, looking at it proudly. "To do what, may I ask?"
"Lets just say if anyone does snitch, we'll know!" She smirked, skipping away. I watched her, my mouth hanging wide open. Who knew Mione was capable of sneakiness.
"So. Where are we having this little party?" Fred said, rubbing his hands together evilly. He and Nat really are well suited. The question itself confused me, and Mione was no where to be seen. Then I smirked to myself, being a second generation maurader has it's perks.
"The room of requirement!" I squealed. "Listen up everybody, come here!" They all crowded round and I whispered the directions to them. "Meet tomorrow night, got it?" They all nodded.
"What time?" Nat asked, looking eager.
"Er, well. After dinner I suppose. Anyone here have detention?" Nobody said anything. "Good. Then we'll meet at eight. Eight till ten. You'll have to be careful getting back to your dorms, but that's the only time I can think of for now. Um, I'll take with Harry and we'll get you times and stuff like that." I smiled, nodding at everyone.
We all separated, leaving at different time so as not to draw suspicion to ourselves. "What should we call ourselves?" Neville asked, bouncing around us in circles, I laughed, watching him.
"How about the Hogwarts Mauraders?" Ginny asked, smiling at me, Nat, and Harry. I laughed again, shaking my head. Harry seemed determined though.
"No. Fudge thinks Dumbledore's creating an army, that's what we'll give him. The DA, Dumbledore's Army!" He smirked, looking at each of us. Ginny and Mione started squealing while I nodded happily, scooting closer to Harry. The girls, Ron, Fred and George, and Neville kept walking, heading towards Zonkos, but I pulled Harry into the Three Broomsticks, sitting down in a corner booth. Umbridge was in here, looking around the room and marching up to tables, talking to students and taking things from them. Mum watched her angrily, fists clenched at her sides. She was about to walk up to her, but she can't get fired or thrown in prison!
"Mum!" I called, waving her over quickly. She and the toad turned around. She walked in our direction, looking irritated, but the toad pushed past her.
"No need to shout! This is a public place an-"
"Gracie what's wrong? Are you hurt?" Mum asked, giving me a look like she wanted me to play along. I nodded, letting fake tears stream my face. My hand flew to my scar, rubbing it furiously. "Breathe sweetheart! It's going to be okay!"
"Gracie?" Harry questioned nervously, flitting around, trying to see while Umbridge stood there angrily.
"Harry!" I wailed, holding his hand tighter. He moved past Mum and grabbed me, pulling me into his arms. "Play along!" I whispered, that way he wouldn't be too worried. He looked down at me worriedly, then looked up at Mum frantically. Umbridge began ranting about my yelling and making a scene.
"This is my daughter we're talking about! Aren't you worried? What kind of teacher isn't?" Mum scoffed, turning around to glare at her. Umbridge shut up. "This is a pub for kids, seniors day is Wednesday. Madam Rosemerta and I don't appreciate you coming in here and ruining our business!" She spat, getting in the toads face. She toad hissed, then walked outside angrily, not saying another word.
I stopped crying and sat up, scooting into the corner of the booth against the wall. "Well, that went well. I was trying to keep you from going off on her, but that didn't work!" I sighed, running a hand through my hair.
"It did until she marched herself over here yelling at you!" Mum scowled, crossing her arms. "What do you kids want to drink? I'll go get it for you!"
"Thanks Mum. I just want a butterbeer. Harry?"
"The same please!" He smiled, wrapping his arm tight around his waist. She walked away to get the drinks and Harry and I started talking. We didn't notice when she put them down or when anyone came up to talk to us. We were in our own little world, no drama, no teachers, just the two of us. Suddenly, he crashed him lips to mine, keeping that one arm tight around my waist and the other planted firmly on my hip. I put one arm around his neck and curled my fist around his shirt with the other.
Nothing else mattered. I love Harry. That's it. That's the only thing I want to think about right now. We continued to snog for a long time. We didn't come up for air, we didn't need it. We only needed each other. I couldn't care less that we are in public, or the time, or anything else. We can always use the Honeydukes passage to get into the school. Harry has the cloak to get us back to Gryffindor tower.
Nothing matters.
"Oi! You two! I've watched this long enough! It's closing time!" Madam Rosemerta smirked, shoving us out of the booth. The butterbeers sat untouched on the table. Rosemerta was wearing a nightgown and the pub was empty. The windows outside were dark and I didn't see anyone. "Eleven o'clock!" She said, then bustled away, taking the bottles with her. My eyes widened as I looked at Harry. He was being silly, massaging his lips. I giggled, watching him.
"What? They hurt!" He whined, looking at me goofily. I laughed again, nodding. My lips were chapped too, that being why I wasn't talking. He rolled his eyes, wrapping his arms around my waist. I led him out, walking to Honeydukes. I pulled out my wand and whispered the Alohomora charm. We snuck into the back and crawled through the passage.
"You've got the cloak and the map right?" I whispered, trying to keep my lips from brushing together. He nodded, pulling them out of the bag. He slipped the cloak over top of us while I got the map ready. "I solemnly swear I am up to no good!" The dots appeared, most people were asleep in their dorms, Filtch was down by the kitchens, and Fred and George were dangerously close to being caught. Poor guys. Dumbledore was pacing his study and Umbridge was inside the office on the other side of the room.
"Look! Ron and the girls are waiting for us!" Harry whispered, pointing to a clutter of dots in our common room. I rolled my eyes, bracing myself for a scolding.
"Think we can get past them with out getting caught?" I asked, pushing my way out of the passage, still looking down at the map. He stared at it for a minute, a smirk growing on his face.
"Who says we have to go there?" I looked at him, confused. "We could go to the Room of Requirement?" I smiled brightly, nodding my head quickly. I looked back at the map, maneuvering my way through the halls.
"It's so quiet!" I whispered, looking around slowly. Filtch's dot was getting closer to Harry an I's, but he can't see us. We just have to be quiet. Mrs. Norris can see through the cloak I think, but Filtch can't, and he hasn't caught on yet. We turned a corner, and there she sat. Mrs. Norris. She meowed for Filtch, staring at us, her tail twitching. "Tell me when he gets close!" I handed Harry the map, climbing out from under the cloak.
'I need a room for Harry and I to sleep and hide in. I need a room for Harry and I to sleep and hide in. I need a room for Harry and I to sleep an hide in!' A big door appeared in front of me. I beamed, pulling it open. Harry threw the cloak off, running inside, I followed him in, closing the doors on Mrs. Norris. Now that we are inside, it'll appear that there was never a door here.
I looked around the room, smiling. It had five doors all around it. The one we came through, and four others. The room we were in looked like a living room. There was a fireplace, a couch, a love seat, and coffee table, it was all decorated beautifully. I walked over to the door on the left to find a bathroom. There was a shower inside with glass doors which were see through. There was of course a toilet and such. There were two sinks and a cup with two tooth brushes. There was a towel rack, a hamper and everything.
In the room on the right, there was kitchen. A fridge, a stove, and multiple food items. Cutting boards, silverware, plates and bowls, cups, and pots and pans, all of a matching set. I giggled, feeling like Harry and I had our own house. There was also a dining room with a short table, with two chairs. There was a fireplace in here as well. I was getting more and more excited by the minute.
I opened the last door, and it was the most beautiful bedroom ever. I looked a bit like the one I've got back home, all my pictures on the wall and light blue patterns everywhere, but there were also quidditch posters all over the place. Ones of the Gryffindor team and a lot of professional teams. The bed was a mixture of gold and blues and even some red splashed here and there. It doesn't sound pretty at all, but when you put all of it together, it was amazing. There was a dressed beside the bed, I'm guessing on my side since there was a zebra print pillow there, and when you opened it, there were clothes. Clothes for Harry and I. I closed it when I came across the drawer filled with his boxers.
I blushed wildly and walked over to his side of the bed where there was a little nightstand. I pulled open the drawer and my jaw dropped. For Merlin's sake! I'm fifteen! The drawer was filled with protection. I blushed darker, slamming the drawer shut. Harry came in, looking around in awe. I scurried away from the drawer, looking at it darkly.
"What's in it?" Harry asked, walking over to it.
"Magazines! Dirty magazines!" I lied quickly, trying to keep him from open the awful drawer. He looked amused by my reaction, his hand left the drawer and he walked over to me, kissing me softly.
"Your lying!" He smirked, jumping backwards and running towards the drawer. My jaw dropped and I chased him, pulling his hands away from it. I stood in front of it, crossing my arms defiantly.
"Harry James Potter I am not lying and you are not opening that drawer!" I huffed, glaring at him.
"You crinkle your nose when your lying. And your still doing it!" He smirked, picking me up and tossing me onto his shoulders.
"Harry!" I bent over farther, hexing the drawer. He blocked the hex, laughing loudly.
"Come on! It can't be that bad!" He laughed, pulling me up so I didn't fall. I rolled my eyes.
"It's dirty!"
"Then I definitely want to see it!" He laughed, pulling it open. I blushed, giving up on fighting him. He laughed, pulling one out of the drawer. "What exactly did you ask the room for?"
I blushed madly, my jaw dropped further than it ever had and I glared at him with all my might. "Harry Potter!"
"Hm. I wonder," he ignored me, trailing off his sentence, then walked over to our dresser. He went through each of the drawers until he got to the last one. He opened it and pulled out some skimpy lace undergarments. I stared at them, open mouthed. He put me down, then held them up to me, squinting and smirking. My face felt like it was in fire and I swatted his hand away.
"Harry!"
"What?" He laughed, tossing them back into the drawer. "Your the one who talked to the room, not me!" He smirked, jumping onto the bed. He made himself comfortable, hands folded behind his head, smirking. I rolled my eyes, then opened the drawer and grabbed one of his t-shirts.

Thief of Time
[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Book 1: The Legend of Tot Synopsis: Claud Primus, a self-declared master thief, has a simple goal. To live forever. It's a rather easy task, for miraculous objects called lifestones are able to extend one's lifespan. These lifestones are best found in the treasuries of nobles, lovely resorts that Claud pays a visit to every so often. Unfortunately, one of those nightly visits go awry, and Claud is forced to escape with just a single lifestone and a box in hand. Normally, that's when things die down. The guards yawn, the gates close, and the night continues. But this time, the night isn't that forgiving. A dozen schemes result in the murder of someone important, and with a convenient scapegoat — Claud — at hand, it doesn't take long for him to be framed as a heinous criminal, wanted for the indirect murder of someone high up...and it just gets worse from there. Book 2: The Moon Lords' Rise Synopsis: As ordered chaos sweeps across Licencia, Claud leaves for Julan Barony, intent on making some profits there. Accompanied by the erstwhile heiress of Julan, a fellow member of the Moon Lords, the two plot against the barony's wealth...as well as a promise to bring about its downfall. Meanwhile, back home, the Moon Lords have busied themselves with digesting their gains. Eyes, however, are beginning to turn to this proverbial fish in a small pond. The fishermen are coming. When they cast their hook, what will Dia and the others do? Book 3: Murders under the Moons Synopsis: In the sleepy town of Nachtville, where Claud and Lily are forced to stop at, a set of nasty murders occurs. Victims scream out in fright, before a spear falls from the sky to end their suffering. Cowed and cautious, the master thief and his partner slink in the shadows, their objective that of home... A new task, however, has fallen on Dia. With a trusty helper at her side, she has to set off towards Nachtville itself, to solve the mystery Claud had abandoned. Faced with an enemy whose sole skillset is geared towards killing, how will they succeed? And what dark secrets will they find? Book 4: In the Dark of the Moons Synopsis: The year has ended. The four months of the full moons will soon be followed by two months of the new moons. Duke Istrel's ascension is around the corner. Amidst this political upheaval, Count Nightfall, Licencia's strongest defender, has been called away. The Moon Lords' largest task yet — to protect Licencia in the absence of its ruler — has begun. And yet, trouble is unrelenting. A distinguished personage, one that Claud fears, has been found dead in the county, his brains dug out and his body disemboweled. The inquisitors of the White Church have been dispatched to investigate and apprehend the murderer...as well as the person behind this puppet. Tormented by a call to fight, Claud directs his eyes out of the city, looking for the puppetmaster. Skulking in the shadows, the master thief will soon confront his greatest foe yet. A foe just like him. Book 5: Moonlit Tides and Darkened Seas Synopsis: A new era has begun. For the privileged, the sands of time dribble away for every passing moment, counting down to the arrival of a entity of mythical proportions. The night now harbours shadows and fog, and operatives of the Moons and the Dark clash in shadow. Claud, as usual, is investigating a spate of nasty disappearances in the city, but little does he know what these disappearances truly mean. And yet, a tide is coming. When it finally breaks, what will he do? Book 6: Secrets in Shadow Synopsis: The person behind a strike that would enter the annals of history flees his home, bringing with him the person closest to his heart into a new land and into a new world. Having left Istrel for the first time in his life, the two of them attempt to settle down in foreign lands, only to be caught in the middle of hostilities between two mighty powers grappling for dominion. Yet, none of that has anything to do with him. Following his desires, Claud eventually makes his way to the fabled Celestia Ruins, a fragment of another world. Bearing witness to truths he cannot yet comprehend, he returns from his exploration, a small break away from the machinations of destiny. One thing, however, is for certain. Destiny will not wait for him. Book 7: Reddest Rage Synopsis: Destiny churns on, heedless of mortal machinations, and Claud watches as the battlegrounds between the Moons and the Dark are drawn up. With the forces of the great Dark occupying Lostfon, Claud comes to a startling realisation — that he may have very well be a murderer of heinous proportions. Grappling with that realisation, he struggles to prepare for his Second Tutorial... Back in Istrel, Dia finds herself confronted with a perennial truth. Even in a time of writhing destiny, the machinations between nobles never cease to end — and unfortunately for her, the group once known as the Moon Lords are forced into dealing with a petty squabble between two counts. What they didn't account for, however, was the startling discovery they would soon make... And the shadow of the Red God's Holy Son behind it all. Book 8: Darkness Descends Synopsis: Nightmares haunt the horizon as Claud sinks and awakens from a seeming dream. What was once illusory begins to play out before him, in a way he cannot imagine. Under the banner of humanity and divinity, she beholds the silent, forgotten protectors of Orb...but there is no forgetting the battle between the divinities. The Dark descends, the Moons writhe, and the horns of war blow once more. But this is not their battle. Not yet. Book 9: Moons Muster Synopsis: As more and more events fall into place, Claud finds himself desperate. Not for himself, but for the person who has turned into his world. Armed with the knowledge of a certain future, he approaches the only person that could possibly help him in his time of need, trading information for a promise of help. With that as solace, he returns to the grim task of understanding and seeking, revisiting an ancient, shattered fragment of another world...unleashing changes that he never knew was possible. Back in Istrel, Dia and the others must now navigate around a familiar spirit, who seeks to investigate the death of his master's Bearer.
