As it turned out, the whole Decarabian's army was wiped by my mate. Did she let them to be in one place before she attacked from the inside? Was it all a plan?

But when she attacked me it was pure anger. I sensed it. I can't be wrong. Did she regain control after a while and started to attack them? But Decarabian was from her pack. Did she not recognize him?

The two other Alphas heard the news and assisted on cleaning up the mess. For now, we broke off communications with the vampires. It may start a war but the means on how peace was acquired cost more than anything. We may have to track if there are other kins of the Moonstone pack to prevent further disputes.

Meanwhile, my ears went deaf from when Kyle yelled at me for my 'foolish' plan to just strut in the enemies' base. I understand his concern and everyone's. I also apologized for my crazed response to all of what happened. Anger was sweet and bitter to taste with all of my regrets and failures.

We then formally welcomed Alice in the pack and i guess, we're all good. Except for one. I keep on returning to Thalia's pack with foods in hand.

A growl came from the shadows of a torn house.

"It's me."

There was silence, then footsteps. Her eyes are still red but recognizable. I sat in front of her and she sniffed my scent. Her ears droop and she's more relaxed. Yet she keeps a good or not so good amount of space between us.

"I brought you something."

I took out the meat and she quickly took it receding to a corner.

She has not returned yet to her human form. And I'm starting to think that she won't. She is only the wolf side. Without her human side, there is nothing to return to. But i have to believe like what Aiyu said. No matter what. She managed to return to her human form when she was a child. She can do it. Maybe not now, but surely she will.

Day 15

I tried to use mind link but i remember that the human side is also needed for it. She's more calmer now. I brush her fur as she lay her head on me. The Alphas' gave me time to resolve this matter. Though she can be viewed as a threat, she is still the one who prevented more deaths. In that account, as long as she does not leave this land, they won't do anything to her, not that I will let them. My eyes fell heavy as our breathing synchronized. Peaceful.

"I'll love you no matter what you are."

It's warm...

If we could stay like this...

It was not as warm and she feels lighter. I caressed her fur to know she's still here. I am only to wake up and the morning light is blinding my closed eyes. I can't stay here at the whole day, there are duties that has been pending because of the past events.

It was less warmer. Huh? What happened her fur... her... skin? My eyes shut open. She snuggled closer as I raised my hand in disbelief. She's... a human... and naked. I took a blanket from the bag I brought in case she turned back, but this is out of nowhere. Yet my heart leaps in joy. She's back.

"Winter." I leaned to whisper on her ear.

"Winter." I repeated.

"Thalia." I slowly called out and she seemed to hear me this time as her eyes slowly opened. She turned sideways now facing me. Her eyes were back to brown. She gazed at me and I smiled to finally see her again. Her hand reached for my face.

"Good morning." I greeted. Her brows creased and I let her sit up. She begun to examine her hand, as if in disbelief that she returned in this form.

"You're back." I tucked in the stray hair to her ear. I miss her. Now, that the enemy is gone maybe we can start anew.

She turned to me. Eyes were... watery and one by one, tears fell down to her cheeks.

"It's okay." I've never seen her cry before. Probably, out of relief. She tried to wipe the welling tears and I can't help but smile at her innocent look.

"Hey, it's okay. it will be okay." You can cry to your heart's content. No one will hurt you now. She cried for another hour and fell asleep again. Now that she shifted, I can bring her to our pack. It's cleaner and more comfortable there.

I lifted her up and put her in the car.

Her sleeping face is relaxing to look at. I wish that you no longer feel any pain. I dampen a small kiss on her forehead before driving off.
