I stand up slowly while this person just looks at me. I'm debating on if I should run into the house but part of me says to stay.

I start to step backwards slowly, telling myself to play it safe.

"Wait..." a masculine voice calls out.

The only thing that makes me stop is how familiar it sounds.

"Who are you?" I ask trying to sound confident.

The figure walks closer to me, slowly coming into the light the porch has. His hands are raised in surrender and he has a sad smile in his face.

"Perhaps I should reintroduce myself, Natasha..." He says slowly.

I look at his face and he is quite handsome. He looks like he's my age, with brown hair and he's definitely tall.

Wait he knows my name....

"I drunkenly called you a while ago and we've called and texted ever since. We've had virtual movie marathons together and comforted each other. Tonight you were talking to me but wont tell me what's wrong but I know you were crying on the phone and I can see you have been."

I'm just looking at this man, I've heard his voice countless times. Is he really here? Is this handsome man really who has become one of my best friends?

I'm pretty much just standing with my mouth slightly open in shock that he actually came here.

Walking closer to me so we're only a few feet away, he smiles warmly at me.

"I'll ask again Tash... What happened tonight? Are you ok?" He says slowly.

I clear my throat coming out of my shock.

"Damon...?" I whisper.

"Yeah. It's me Tash. I promise." He says warmly. "What's happened? I can see you've been crying, you know I'm always here."

I look at his eyes and his chocolate brown orbs look at me with nothing but concern.

"I came home and found John cheating on me..." I manage to get out with only a couple of tears sliding down my cheek.

The look of shock on his face turns to anger after he registers what I said.

"That fùćķìńģ moron. I'm sorry Tash." He looks up at me again and sees how broken I am. "I'm so sorry. Come here."

I slowly close the distance between us before he pulls me to him and wraps his arms around me. After a second I return the hug. I feel comfort as soon as we touch, I can't believe he's actually here.

"Did you want to talk about it?" He asks cautiously.

"Yeah, I think so. Come inside though, it's too cold." I tell him before grabbing his hand to lead him in.
