《And You became my Dawn》Chapter#24

Imran's POV:
I saw Ahmed walking to Zohma's room after Sandal and grin, but it instantly vanished and a frown formed on my face when I saw her sister following him.
Oh no, I won't let you ruin their moment ...
"Excuse me Ms..." I called her.
"Huh?" She turned to me.
"Can I talk to you for a moment?" I said looking into her eyes. She has pure black eyes, shining with intelligence.
"Sure."
"Why we won't take a seat, then talk."
"Seat? ...Listen Mr, I don't have time. If you want to say something, say it."
A feisty one huh...
"You don't have to be so harsh... you were quiet all the time so I thought it would be nice to chat a bit."
She sighed and said, " I don't know what does a famous model want from me... but whatever is it, I am not interested, even if it's just small talk... now will you excuse me."
She spun on her heels and starts walking towards the stairs. I quickly look around and finding no one near, I grabbed her by the arm and dragged to the nearest door of the backyard. As soon as we reached outside, I left her.
"What the hell? Who do you think you are Mr.?" She yelled and I thank Allah for this area to be empty.
"I told you that I want to talk to you." I shrugged.
"Is this how you talk to a girl?"
"Yes, this is how I talk to a thick-headed girl like you."
"What?"
"Ahmed and Sandal finally get a minute to talk and you were about to ruin it."
"That's exactly why I was going. I am aware that bajjo is there."
Bajjo...?
Cute...
"Then let her talk."
"Talking about wha-" She left her sentence incomplete as if she suddenly remembered something important
"Tell me, what game is that person is playing with bajjo?" She narrowed her eyes at me.
"Game?" And my eyes widened.
"I heard his mother talking to mine, she wants bajjo's hand for your friend... surely he is not in love with my sister, he doesn't know her that much and we don't have a rich family background nor my sister is the prettiest girl in the world ... she is just an average girl... so what's your friend's real motive?"
"Seriously? Is that what you think?... and what makes you think he doesn't love your sister?"
"Oh please! Words like 'love' doesn't sound right coming out from your mouth ... or your friend's... do you think I am stupid? I search every single detail about your friend... his hangouts, his scandals, his affairs ... Everything."
"It was all in the past. So what about it?" I crossed my arms over chest.
"And what surety I have that it won't be a matter in the future?" She shook her head and continued, "I will never let her marry your friend. She deserves better than him."
Yes, she was right there is no surety. As a friend, I know Ahmed feelings are genuine but as a sister, she wanted a reliable person without a past like him.
Still, I cannot lose to her...
"By the way, who are you to decide?" I asked angrily.
"For your information, I am her sister!" She stated.
"I really doubt that."

"Excuse me?"
"You don't care about her and still you call yourself a sister."
"WHAT? ...How can you say that? You don't even know us."
"I know more than you think and so does Ahmed. And now I know one more thing that you are just a brat who pretend to care about her sister ... and get jealous when someone is trying to become a part of her life .... and you still don't care even when she is in the state of having a mental breakdown anytime." I said rudely.
think that will be enough to pull the trigger...!
"He wanted to help her, to heal her with love, but you here. Her sister is-" But before I could finish something hit my face. I was caught off guard, I stumbled but soon regain my balance. She punched me hard.
"Don't you dare say anything about our relationship." She said grinding her teeth.
"I was just telling the truth Ms." I said holding my jaw.
"Shut your mouth pretty boy." She said with a stern look and didn't forget to humiliate me by calling pretty. I watched her leave and massage my jaw...I swear if she was a man I make him regret this punch for eternity... but luckily she was not.

Sandal's POV:
Silently I tried to pass him, but he blocked my way, "Enough with the hide and seek."
"I need to go, please step aside." I said without making eye contact.
"Why are you avoiding me?"
"I am not."
"Then why didn't you receive my calls?"
"You have wrong timings ... it wasn't my fault that whenever you called me I was sleeping." I lied.
"Lies."
"I don't lie."
"Then look at me and tell me why were you avoiding me?"
"I need to go." I still didn't make eye contact.
Sighing he stepped aside, allowing me to go and when I was about to pass him, he said. "I am letting you go Sandal, but only today."
My heart skipped a beat but I did not answer him nor look at him. He was being impossible for me to handle and it was making me more confused. It was getting late, so I tell Ami that we should get going. Zohma tried hard for an overnight stay but I refused it.
There is no way I am staying here...
~*~
Ahmed POV:
"You guys are staying right?" Muskan asked everyone.
"Saeed is going back, but we can stay if you welcome us." Said Armaghan.
"You guys are always welcome here, Armaghan Bhai... I'll prepare guest rooms for you." She smiled and walked away.
"Where is Imran?" I asked, looking around and heard snickers instead of a proper answer.
"What?" I looked at them questioningly.
"You can ask him yourself." He mentioned to the right from where Imran was coming.
"Where were you?" I asked him directly.
"I was.... busy." He said nodding.
"Yeah, busy in putting ice bags on his jaw." Salman chuckled.
"Ice bags?" I looked back and forth between Salman and Imran, but no one answers me.
"What did you see?" Imran narrowed his eyes at him.
"We saw everything ...pretty boy." Armaghan teased him.
"Oh, and she was asking for my number." Saeed said grinning.

"So?" Imran frowned.
"So...I gave her your number." He winked.
"Care to fill me in?" I said annoyingly.
"Well, our supermodel was hit by a girl tonight." Armaghan announced.
"Really?" I chuckled and my mind went back to when Sandal hit me, "and who was she?"
"Sandal's sister." Saeed said and I facepalm myself.
"You were messing with Areeba?
"I wasn't messing with that brat. I was... just talking."
I sighed and got up, "I'll be back after changing."
~*~
Sandal's POV:
As I entered my house, the atmosphere felt different. Unexpectedly, both Mamo's were here. Which was very rare, normally they don't visit on weekdays. I Salam everyone and after getting fresh I joined everyone in the living room. Both Mamo didn't stay long and after dinner, I was told the reason for their visit.
"Sandal, I have to talk to you about something." Ami said coming into the room.
"Ji? (Yes) what is it?" I said absent-mindedly.
"Beta (child) Zohma's mother asks your hand for Ahmed." As soon as those words left her mouth, my body literally froze and I couldn't register what next she said because my mind was stuck on the sentence Sir Ahmed said.
'And what if I stop you from leaving?'
He was serious and I thought he was just toying with me.
"Sandal?" Ami loud voice brought me back to earth.
"Ji?"
"I asked you something, beta."
"What?" I breathed out. I still couldn't believe what I heard.
"Sandal come here, sit with me." She dragged me to bed holding my hand.
"Listen beta I know the news shocked you, but think about it, he is a nice boy."
Think? Think what?
"We all like him. I ask you both Mamo about it. So they met him today and they also think he can be a good life partner for you."
"And what do you think?" I asked abruptly.
"I had concerns. There is a very difference in our social status and I was hesitating until Ahmed came to the house and explains that it is his will to marry you."
"He came here?" My eyes widened.
"Yes, today." She nodded.
I can't believe it!
"So what is your answer to it?"
"Ami I need time to think." I quickly changed my position.
"I know. You can answer me tomorrow."
"Ami not so soon."
"I am not forcing you. But it will be better if you make your decision until tomorrow and if your answer will be positive, we will all be happy because we believe he will be a good husband." She said and left.
She didn't say openly, but I know that my refusal will disappoint her.
~*~
It was past midnight, still, sleep was far away from me. All the things that happened in the past few days kept circling in my mind and my head really starts spinning now. From the incident, till now everything was happening too fast and I don't know how to handle things.
I noticed Sir's different behaviour, his approaches but never thought it would lead to this. Getting married or engaged is not in my plan for the next four years and getting married to Sir Ahmed?
For some reason, wave electricity ran through my body thinking about him being my husband. It wasn't fear, but it wasn't exciting either or maybe I am too confused to feel anything. I instantly shook my head and grabbed my phone to look at the time, but I forgot about the time when I saw Sir's text on the screen.
'I know that you are still up and probably thinking about me. Don't think too much and just trust me for once. But if you don't I will still make you my wife, because I am not planning to take 'No' for an answer. See you tomorrow night at Zohma's wedding not as her friend, but as my fiancé I hope.'
What the hell...
~*~
I don't want to go...
This was the first thought that came to my mind when I woke up late in the morning. I dragged myself out of the bed and before I could walk outside the kitchen Areeba came with my breakfast.
"Jazakallah!" I said as my eyes landed on the tray. Areeba gave me an annoyed look, which I assume was because she hates making breakfast.
"Come before it gets cold." She said, sitting on the bed.
"You are going to eat with me? That's rare." I also sat down looking at her.
"I thought you might need me."
"So you know?"
"Obviously." She shrugged and yet again I feel like my heartbeats start going crazy.
"So, what is your decision?" She asked.
"Nothing."
"Nothing?"
"I don't want to marry right now."
"You don't want to marry now or you don't want to marry Mr. Ahmed?"
"I don't want to marry. Not to Sir Ahmed, not to anyone. I want to live with my family right now." I stopped eating.
"And what if your family wants you to marry him? And finish your breakfast." She said, pointing towards the half-eaten egg.
"I thought you didn't like him." I narrowed my eyes at her.
"I didn't but when he came yesterday and talked to Mamo and Ami, so I have to change my mind. Yes, I don't want my sister to marry a flirt man but.... that guy really likes you and now I think if he is ready to change his ways then you should give him a chance."
"I cannot marry a man to give him 'a chance'." I frowned.
"Hm... Then tell me. If he will agree to give you time, then would you marry him?"
"Why are you taking his side?" I almost shouted.
"I am just trying to find a reasonable answer to your rejection."
"But I never reject it."
"So you are agreeing?"
"Huh?...no... I didn't mean that." I startled.
"Listen Bajjo. From Papa, Shoiab and Palwisha's death until today. Whatever happened was none of our doing. Allah planned this for us and now when I look behind, then I have no doubt believing that fate brought us here for you to meet Mr. Ahmed. I mean we could live there too right? It would be hard, but we are here."
She is right...
Although I hate to admit it. There were times when I also the time when this thought came to my mind.
"Just tell me what do you want?" I sighed.
"We want you to say yes to Mr. Ahmed proposal." I give her a defeated look.
"You don't dislike that guy right? So believe in Allah and trust Ami's choice."
"Fine, do whatever you want." I said getting up but suddenly hugged from the back.
"Tell me we aren't forcing you, Bajjo?" Areeba asked.
"No."
'I will make you my wife'
Am I doing the right thing......?
