《Not My Type | ✔️》Chapter 11

Over only three months I've completely fallen in love with Carter.
And just yesterday, he confessed feelings for me. I haven't felt that way in my entire life. But when he told me how he felt I lost it on the inside.
Amber interrupted our talking. I mean, literally INTERRUPTED. She pushed Carter away from me while we were hugging and I almost walked away, right there, just walked away. But seeing Carter's expression of anger caused me to stay and see what happened next.
She called me a rat. A rat.
That night though, I curled up in a ball on my bed and thought of Carter. My phone had went off out of nowhere so I picked it up to check the messages. It was from an unknown number saying...
Stay away from Carter. He's mine. And if u don't I'll personally make sure you never interact with him again. 😙✌️✌️
I didn't bother responding because it was obvious that Amber was just all bark and no bite.

"I always knew he loved you," Liam smirked. His eyes sparkled with a flare of mischievousness that gave me a hint saying 'THINGS ARE ABOUT TO GET PERSONAL'. "Even if you deny it," he added, "it's still true. He loved you from day one. When him and Cole came by to pick you up a while ago I could see it in his eyes."
"Sure you could."
He laughed a little before looking up and asking, "Do you want to go to a movie today?"
"I don't see why not!" I smiled. "Let me go get ready." I jumped up from my spot on the couch and skipped to my room. Searching through my closet, I found black skinny jeans, a red hoodie, and high-top converse.

It took me only seconds to get back into the living area to find Liam buried into his phone.... as usual. I plop in front on him and put on a cheesy grin. He rolled his eyes while smiling before getting up and walking to the door. We left the dorm building and hopped into the car. At this point, it was about 12:30 PM in the day.
We enter the theater and buy our popcorn, drinks, and candy. After buying tickets for Spiderman Homecoming we sit down in the red plush seats. I run my fingers lightly over the cup holder. It felt just like I'd remembered. Rough yet smooth.
The movie started shortly and I was immediately lost in Tom Holland's gorgeousness.
He could never compare to Carter, though. What am I saying? I need to stop thinking of him so much. Its unhealthy.... Back to the movie, Olivia. Focus already!
************
The movie ended and we were on the way to an ice cream shop.
"Are we there yet?" I asked Liam, hoping to get on his nerves.
He smirked, almost as if a light bulb had went of in his mind. "Does it look like we're there?" I look around at his question only to see the road and dozens of trees surrounding it.
I waited about a minute and asked again, "Are we there yeeet?!"
He laughed with his smirk returning to his lips, "You can't annoy me this time, Olivia. I've learned much more patience since our last road trip."
I rolled my eyes with no response.
"Fine, be a grouch. See if I care." I state with my chin high in the air as he takes his eyes off the road for a split second to glance at me. Soon enough, they return to what's ahead and we go back to awkward silence in the car.

Somewhere between twenty or thirty minutes later, we'd arrived at the shop and went up to order. "Rocky road with chocolate fudge and rainbow sprinkles, please." Liam smiled and took his order.
"And a cup of green tea flavored ice cream with mint sprinkles for me." I added my request to the order as the counter woman clicked away on the small screen in front of her.
"That'll be right out." The waitress waved, her curly blonde hair hanging over one eye.
Liam and I walked over to a seat and sat down across from each other. He was the first to speak, "Green tea ice cream? Since when?"
"Carter introduced me to it once... I really liked it."
"Ahh yes..." he pondered, "Carter. How hasn't he asked you to be his girlfriend yet? He's totally in love."
I fiddled with my fingers under the table and my dark hair fell over my face. My eyes squeezed shut before I replied, "I- He might not be ready for a relationship yet..." Liam's eyes almost rolled to the back of his head. It seemed to almost cause and earthquake.
"Well that boy better hurry up."
"It's fine. I'm fine. Let's just focus on ice cream." I smiled and tried my best to change the subject because I wasn't exactly ready to take on the whole 'boyfriend-girlfriend' talk.
"Good enough for me." A supportive and patient grin grew over his lips. I was relieved to know that he wasn't going to make me spill everything all out at once.
Soon enough we were both finished and I'd gotten a call from Carter. "Hello?" I picked up.
"Heyyy. Can you please meet me somewhere?" He asked almost immediately. His voice was shaky in almost....... a nervous way?
"Where at?" I smiled, although he couldn't see it. Liam eyed me strangely and it was obvious he was listening in.
"The park. Like... the last time we met up. Can you make it?" He said and then asked.
I glanced up at Liam who was holding two big thumbs up and smiling widely. Then I answered, "Of course. Be there is 20?"
"Sounds perfect." He'd let out a sigh of relief and chucked a bit. "See you there."
"Go for it!" Encouraged Liam.
"Thanks." I said and hugged him. He hugged back but quickly pushed me off.
"Now go."
I nodded before taking off.
When I got there Carter was waiting patiently next to the bench. I rushed over to him, my smile growing wider. "Hey. You wanted to meet up, right?"
"Yes. I've been meaning to ask you something..." At this point. I'd known what it was. But I wanted my mind to take it in as if it were all new information, so stopped myself from thinking about. "These past few months, we've been hanging around each other so much. And... we both know we're in love with each other. So, Olivia, will you be my girlfriend, my... one and only?"
