^^A/N: Eve ready to kick some ass

All of them look up at me as I burst into the alley.

The bald one cracks a grin and chuckles, "Well kid it's an unlucky day for you. Grab her too!", he shouts.

The guy with the brown beard rushes toward me, but I'm much faster. I reach him before he can even blink, punching him in the jaw and kicking him on the side, causing him to fall down. Thank god for vampiric strength, or those attacks would have been completely ineffective.

I grab the boy, who seems barely conscious, and haul him over my shoulder like a sac of potatoes. He winces in pain. I seem to be pressing on his wounds. However, there's not much I can do, and he certainty can't run.

I start bolting away from the two criminals.

The brown bearded one curses, "Why the hell is she so strong?"

"She must be part beast or something!" replies the bald guy.

"Fuck, then we gotta get her. Imagine how much she'll sell for!"

Unfortunately for them I've got other plans, and am running down the deserted street already. With my speed they'll never catch up to me, even while I'm carrying this boy. 

Suddenly, I hear a roaring sound behind me. I look behind my shoulder and almost stop in my tracks.

The brown bearded guy is barreling towards me, and his body is morphing in a horrific way. Half of his face is turning into that of a giant bug. He falls to the ground and screams as the left side of his torso turns into the abdomen of a bug. Finally, a large scorpion-like stinger sprouts from his backside.

What the hell is that! I accelerate in speed, but it seems they are able to run fast now too. However, I'm still gaining ground on them.

That is until a knife stabs me in the shoulder. I fall over, dropping the boy who hisses, as he makes impact with the ground.

I spin around, and rip the knife out of my shoulder. It's not silver, so it heals instantly. I throw the knife back at the bald man, who threw it. It hits him in the eye, blood dripping down his face.

"So you're a beast with healing properties," says the bald guy. He grabs the knife by the hilt, and yanks it out. It heals immediately. He smiles, "Me too."

Fuck, it's going to be hard to beat him. My guns are loaded with lead bullets, so that's going to be ineffective against him. Beasts with healing properties can only be harmed with silver weapons. 

Still, at least my gun can work on the bug guy. I rip my necklace off, and it turns into a handgun. I shoot the bug guy in the face. He falls backward, and blood shoots out of his face. He gets up again, with the bullet still lodged in the middle of his forehead.

He growls and charges toward me. Looks like whatever a bullet to the head isn't enough to kill this bug guy. Whatever, if he wants hand to hand combat, I'm fine with that too. I dodge his punch, and undercut him in his gut.

However, the bald guy is approaching me from behind, so I spin away facing from bug guy, and try to kick the bald guy, but he gets out of the way.

The bald guy charges at me, attempting to tackle me. I quickly dodge out of the way, and sweep his legs out from under him with my leg. The bald guy falls to the ground. I take out my gun, and shoot the bug guy who's coming back for a second attack.

I then pepper the bald guy with the rest of the bullets I have in my gun. Even if it won't kill him, that will take a little bit of time to heal. Enough for me to get away.

I turn away from the two attackers, to pick up the boy again, but it seems the bald guy has grabbed onto my leg. He yanks be down, and I fall to the ground. Bullets start falling to the ground as well, which I assume is because he is healing so they pop right back out.

I feel a stabbing pain on the right side of my back. That bastard stabbed me with a knife again! I scramble upwards, and pull the knife out.

Crap! The knife is silver, so it's not healing on it's own! I'll need blood to heal this, or I'm just going to die as if I were a normal person getting stabbed by a knife.

"Bob, you're going to kill her, and we won't get that sweet dough," complains the bug guy. He coughs up some blood, and clutches his abdomen, where the second bullet went.

"Shut up, if we die, then we get no money!" replies the bald man. He rips out two bullets in stomach, hissing. He's already halfway healed. Fuck, I need blood. I can feel my warm blood quickly seeping out of the wound.

I summon my energy to lunge at the bug guy. I grab his arm, and bite down hard, drinking his blood. A warmth spreads over me, and I feel fully energized. I look at the wound on my back, it's fully healed. I throw the bug guy's body aside, he's passed out or dead from blood loss, and face the bald guy.

"Looks like it's just me and you now," I say grinning, and wiping the bug guy's blood from my mouth.

"WHAT THE FUCK!?!? You're a vampire, but how," he looks at me with a scared look on his face, "how... how did you heal from silver?"

I approach him with the silver knife I just pulled out. He must be shocked since most vampires wouldn't be able to heal silver wounds, and it would affect them just like a normal person healing from a wound. However, since I'm half demon descendent, as long as I drink blood before I die, I can fully heal. 

He turns around and runs away. I throw the knife, but he dodges, and it ends up only stabbing him in the shoulder.

He stumbles, but keeps running. I turn around and go to pick the boy up again. He is still conscious, but has a sort of dazed look on his face, like he could pass out any second. The boy has raven hair, the color of black ink, and eyes the color of fire. He's wearing a once white shirt, now covered in dirt and blood. Oddly, the tattered jacket he's wearing seems to be made of a high quality fabric and has some gold buttons running down the front of it (though many have fallen off). 

I gingerly pick him up, trying to avoid any wounds on his body, but it's hard since they are all over him.

I start walking away only to hear shouting behind me.

WHAT THE FUCK! The bald guy is back and he's brought two other giant guys with him. I start running again, at this point carrying the boy bridal style, so I avoid the large cut on his side.

"Use the special weapon!" I hear the bald guy yell.

"No! We can only use that once, and it cost a ton of money!" shouts one of the new attackers.

"It's worth it! That little bitch can heal from even silver! I mean imagine how much she'll sell at auction," he says.

I have no idea what special weapon they are referring to, but I certainly don't want to find out what it can do. My new goal is to get back to the festival where all the people are right now. Sadly, these guys are faster than normal humans, and while I am as well, I'm only able to stay a few yards away from them since I'm also carrying this boy.

"You already wasted a ton of those on the boy. Boss won't be happy if you keep making him buy these!" 

"Come on this is just what the Dagger King is looking for, and he only comes once a year!"

I run faster, I'm only a few blocks away now from the main street. They throw a knife at me, but I dodge out of the way. They throw another one, but I duck, and it sails over my head.

"We're not wasting it! Even if that little brat wants it," one of them says.

"Come on, the Dagger King is loaded, we'll be rich," huffs out the bald guy. I'm gaining ground on them, they seem to be tiring out! From the distance I can hear the cheering of the crowd!

"Fine!" the other one answers. I look over my shoulder, to see what the hell these guys are talking about, but keep running.

"No," wheezes out the boy in my arms, so quietly I almost don't hear him. 

I run faster, and they throw another knife at me. I move out of the way, and they miss.

How many knives do these guys have?!?!

They throw another, and I try to dodge it, but it stabs me in the back. It's not fatal though, so I grit through pain and keep running. I just need to get to the main street. I'm only two blocks away at this point.

Another knife comes whizzing by, and I barely manage to dodge it. The wound in my back is definitely affecting me. However, I hear the boy scream.

Fuck, he's been stabbed in the leg! I falter for a moment. Unfortunately, this is enough time for them to send another knife at me, stabbing me on my upper back.

I let out a scream, and fall forwards. I make sure not to fall on the boy, and quickly scramble up. I've lost my small lead on the attackers, and look up at them with dread.

Looks like I'm going to have to fight them. I take the two knives out, gritting my teeth through the horrible pain. If I can drink one of their blood, I should be okay.

I hold the two bloodied knives I just ripped out of me, and get into a fighting stance. The attackers seem a little out of breath from all the running. One of is holding an ax, the other one has a sword, and the bald guy pulls out a weapon from his cloak.

It seems to be a dagger, radiating a glowing, golden light.

"No," wheezes out the boy again. Yes, very helpful, rolling my eyes in my head.

I charge at the guy with the ax. He swings the ax at me, and I manage to stop it by crossing the two knives together, and blocking the blade of the ax from chopping me in half. I drop the knives, and quickly move to the left as the ax completes its swing. 

The man is thrown off balance, so I kick him in the stomach, sending him falling to the ground. The guy with the sword comes at me, and I pick up the knife from the ground. He charges at me, but I dodge his attack, and stab him with the knife in the back.

I then bite into his neck, feeling my wounds heal again, as I drink his blood.

However, this is short lived, as the bald guy stabs me in the back with the glowing dagger. I spin around, take the knife out of the sword guy's back, and stab the bald guy in the chest with it. He stumbles backward, and I take the glowing knife out, which has somehow lost its glow now.

For some reason, I feel really sick, and the knife wound I just got feels like it's burning.

I grab the arm of the bald guy, and bite into it, drinking his blood.

But for some reason, the wound isn't healing!

I drink more, and it's still not healing. By now the attackers have started recovering, except the sword guy who seems to be dead or passed out from blood loss. The ax guy grabs me, and takes out another glowing knife.

I try to get free from his hold on me, but he stabs me in the stomach with the knife. I bite his arm, but once again, the wound isn't healing!

At this point, my vision is getting blurry from blood loss, and I collapse to the ground. I start seeing black spots, which get larger and larger, until I go unconscious.
