《The UnSlut Project》Oh, I only wish I could talk to him or something!

Yesterday, I didn't go to school. I stayed home "sick" and watched shows I'm not allowed to wach on TV all day. From 9-10am, I watched Jerry Springer. From 10-11am, I watched Jenny Jones. From 11-11:30am, I watched The Newlywed Game. From 11:30-noon, I watched The Dating Game. From noon-1pm, a different Jerry Springer was on. From 1-2pm, a different Jenny Jones was on. Then my mom came home. What a productive day, huh?
I don't think the realization has hit me quite yet that I am going out with NATHAN. The cutest boy in the grade, whom I've swooned over for so long.
Oh, I only wish I could talk to him or something! Why is it so hard to just go up to him and say, "Hi, Nathan, wassup."
Melanie said that at the carnival, Nathan came up to her (they hate each other) and said, "Hey, Melanie, where is Emily?" She said she didn't know. He said, "No, really, where is she?" She said that I was going to the carnival on Saturday. He said, "What time?" She said she didn't know and to leave her alone. I was supposed to go on Saturday, but then it rained!
Tonight, Daniel called! He said, "Hi, this is Daniel. Nathan's here. So... do you want to talk to him?" I said, "No..." He said, "You don't?!" I said, "Well, wait, yes I do. But it's just that... I have nothing to talk about." Daniel repeated that to Nathan. I said, "It would be kind of awkward..." [I do not recommend this particular flirting tactic. Once you say it will be awkward, it is. Always.]
Daniel said to Nathan, "Here, you have to talk to her." Nathan said, "Hello?" But I wasn't sure if it was him, so I said, "Who is this?" He said, "Two guesses." I said, "Daniel?" He said, "No." I said, "Um... Nathan?" He said, "Yes!" [I don't mean to brag, but I'm basically a master at guessing games.]

Then I said, "Well, how come you never talk to me at school?" He said, "I didn't think you wanted to talk to me." How cute is that?
People buy me shiny cars,
Set me up with movie stars,
Say they'll bring me down the moon,
Tell me stories, make me swoon.
Carpet all my bathroom floors [er...],
Make me marshmallow s'mores, [that's more like it!]
Buy me a new washing machine,
The cutest dog you've ever seen.
They must find it hard to see
That they are not the ones for me.
They can't make my dreams come true,
'Cause all I'll ever want is you.
[For the record, nobody has ever bought me a fancy car. Or bought me a new washing machine, for that matter.]
