I haven't written for a while, but I broke up with Zach. He called as soon as he got home. I was set on doing it right then, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I knew I would never be able to do it myself, so I told him I had to go have dinner (even though I had already eaten), and I called Stacy. I literally begged her to call him and break up with him for me.

She finally agreed, and called him with me on 3-way, but he didn't know I was listening. He took it well, because I think someone had already warned him. He told Stacy that he was going to call me later.

I told my mom that if Zach called later, I wasn't home, and then I told her the whole story. She said, "How could you have such little respect for Zach's feelings?! When he calls back, you are talking to him and telling him yourself why you're breaking up with him." [Way to lay down the decency law, Mom!]

So when he called, I did talk to him. We talked for about a half hour, and I basically told him that our relationship was too serious for me right now, and that I liked a bunch of different people. He was like, crying, and I felt so bad, but I knew that I needed to break up with him. But it wasn't harsh or anything - it wasn't like we are going to be enemies again.
