"K-koo?"
Taehyung stood frozen for few seconds before walking towards Jungkook and back hugged him tightly.
"Hyungie- the curry!" Jungkook tried to protest but Taehyung roughly grabbed the younger's shoulders and turned him around.
"Where the hell have you been?!" Taehyung couldn't tone down the yell. "I had been worried out of my mind!"
Jungkook looked confused for a second. "Uhh.. home?"
"Damn it Koo!"
Taehyung removed his hands and took a step back. His emotions were little unstable right now and he didn't want to scare Jungkook with them. He ran his fingers through his hair few times before looking back at Jungkook. "What happened today? Are you okay?"
"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" Jungkook looked genuinely confused. "Hyungie, what's going on?"
"Well, you tell me! I've spent half a day, running here and there in Seoul trying to find you, thinking you must be in a grave danger. And you're here, making dinner!!"
Jungkook flinched at that yell and Taehyung immediately felt a bit bad. He quickly took a step closer and gently palmed Jungkook's cheek. And the younger instinctively leaned on to it.
"But hyungie, why would you think I was in danger?"
Taehyung let out a loud sigh, before telling about the pain he got and everything else that followed. When he was done, Jungkook was pouting.
"I'm so sorry to make you worry, hyungie. But I was okay. I was shopping when I had this killer headache. That must be what V felt. I thought I'll shop later and came home and took a nap. I didn't realised I had lost my phone until I tired to call you after waking up. But it was already evening so I decided to make dinner and wait for you to come home. I'm sorry."

Taehyung pulled the younger in to an embrace and gently ran a hand over his back. He could feel V sighing from relief in his mind and falling back in to a corner. It had been a hard day for both of them.
"I have to make few calls." Taehyung mumbled as he pulled out his phone from his pocket.
Needless to say, both Jimin and Namjoon was nothing short of shocked when Taehyung contacted them. Jimin had already submitted a missing person report and was making preparations for a full search tomorrow.
Jin had contacted few of his werewolf acquaintances and they were getting ready for a search party too. There wasn't any official pack in Seoul but they do have a network of connections.
Dinner was uneventful as all 3 of them were lost in their own thoughts. Taehyung sat close to Jungkook, with occasionally touching his hand or kissing his forehead.
Jungkook gave soft smiles, each time, but Taehyung just couldn't shake off the fact that something was wrong. It was the feeling that you get when you miss something very important but couldn't remember exactly what.
And with the way Jimin was giving subtle glances to them, Taehyung knew that he was not the only one that thought so.
After dinner, Jungkook went to bed early, saying he still have a slight headache and Taehyung promised to join him soon. When the younger left the table, Jimin and Taehyung shared a look.
"So." Jimin said as he raised his eyebrows in a questioning manner.
"So."
"Is it only me who thinks something is fishy here?"
Taehyung sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "Nope. Not only you."
"He seem... normal."
Taehyung didn't had an answer to that. Yes, Jungkook did seem like his usual self, nothing seem to be amiss. But.. call it intuition or a gut feeling, Taehyung couldn't help but worry that something terrible is about to happen.

"You think so too, right V?"
"what"
Taehyung hummed in agreement.
When Taehyung went to bed that night, Jungkook was already asleep. Taehyung gently pulled the younger in to his arms, carefully, since he didn't want to wake him.
Jungkook looked like an angel, with a hint of a smile on his face. The thought of something happening to Jungkook was the most terrifying thing Taehyung could imagine. He tightened his hold even more and buried his face in to the juncture between Jungkook's neck and shoulder. He took a deep breath, trying to calm his heart from the storm of depressing thoughts in it.
And that's when it hit him. Something so simple and obvious. Something he should have realised immediately, but like the fool he is, didn't.
The sweet caramel scent that normally fills his breath whenever Jungkook was near by, was no where to be found.

Taehyung didn't knew what to do. Jungkook didn't look like he's consciously pretending or behaving in a deceitful way so Taehyung came to the conclusion that it must be something that the younger is not aware of. Meaning, that there is something else, or someone else's involvement here.
Taehyung called Jin early in the morning and the elder immediately agreed to come. It was very normal for Jin to fuss over Jungkook so it didn't look suspicious at all.
The moment Jin hugged Jungkook, the elder noticed the difference. The power that Jungkook radiated last time, was not there anymore. Even more, Jin couldn't detect a singer trace of Jungkook's Omega too.
JK had always been very present whenever Jin was near as the two Omegas shared a special bond. Jin's Omega had the typical caring and protective nature and JK, being the adorable pup he is, always liked to basked in that.
Jin gave a slight nod to Taehyung, confirming the latter's suspicions. Jin had already offered to stay with Jungkook for the day, while Taehyung went to work. Or that's what he told Jungkook.
But in reality, he was with Jimin, trying to backtrack Jungkook's movements yesterday. They needed to find answers and they needed to find it fast.
