《Gentle Turbulence - Uchiha Madara Love Story》Chapter 10 - Annoyance

Mi Ho pov:
"Stupid floor! Stupid stains!" I grumbled in annoyance as I scrubbed the floor.
I had been here for a week now. And since about two days, I have been cleaning the floors all over the main building. Stains and dirt was everywhere and I had to scrub so hard just to get them off. It was such a pain in the neck! And the worst part was that by the time I finished cleaning the place, the next day it would be covered in dirt and I had to scrub it off all over again! I was clumsy and I had to do it with my left hand because my right arm had been given a nice gift from the one and only Madara. Jerk!
And what is it with these Uchihas?! The women never cribbed about the work no matter how many times they had to do the same job, and mind you, they did the frikkin' same job every single day. They never complained even once, unlike me who constantly cribbed about it. They even said that it was an honor working in the main house and getting the chance to serve Madara sama. Urrghh!!
Madara sama this! Madara sama that! I honestly don't understand what they saw in a pompous dictator like him, but it was like he was their God or something.
I gave a sigh as I took a break from scrubbing the floor. I looked up at the guards who were watching me like I was going to jump and run away any moment. "You know, you could stop staring. Its getting on my nerves." I said. They narrowed their eyes but didn't look away. I rolled my eyes and shook my head as I went back to scrubbing the floor.
I had my fill of fun here to some extent. I was rebellious and I always managed to find ways to get Madara angry. He was so short tempered and he took even the silliest joke so seriously. And let me tell you, even though he yelled at me for insulting him, the look on his face was always priceless. It encouraged me to taunt him more but I would stop when I noticed that he was close to exploding.
I would always find ways to talk back to him too. For example, if he asked me something on the lines of 'who do you think you are talking to?' I would retort with a 'who do you think I'm talking to?'. It was that sort of conversation that I always ended up having with Madara. Besides, I even had the fun of messing with him during meal times. Well, I was responsible for cleaning the hallways and serving Madara, Izuna, and Tajima san dinner everyday so it was a golden opportunity.
I even managed to accidentally trip over nothing on the floor and drop a bowl of hot curry all over Madara's shirt. It was entertaining as he fumed and I gave an innocent apology like so, 'oops, my bad.'
I chuckled as I remembered that incident. He was fuming and all the women who were standing with me were trembling and scurrying around trying to find a way to get the curry off Madara and I was just watching the whole scene controlling my laughter. C'mon, he totally deserved it! He was too prideful and he kept acting like no one was better than him....and I for one, dislike people who think like that. And he was always such a prick to me so he totally deserved that.

Besides my clashes with Madara, I observed the Izuna was quite different from him. He was calm and composed most of the time. He listened to Madara and followed his orders and wishes like it was his own. And he was also quite protective of his brother. At least I think so. I hadn't seen his personality when he was in battle, but he supported and watched out for Madara even in day to day life. I appreciated his affection for his big brother. But, he also gave me looks of distaste when I argued with Madara or did something that annoyed him.
Tajima san and Mioki san too didn't fancy me much. Well why would they? I was completely the opposite of their 'customs'. But its not like I needed their approval for who I am. I wasn't from this world and I didn't have to follow all the stupid customs of this world. Especially the one where women were expected to be completely submissive to the men.
I was called by Madara and Tajima san once in a while to help them in battled with the help of my special ability. In the beginning of my stay here, I had refused to help these people with predicting danger. They had spoken to me several times to convince me to do what they wanted me to and each time I had refused.....until Madara had finally snapped.
>>Flashback 4 days
"Follow us. Tajima sama has some things to discuss with you." I blinked and put down the dish I was washing and I wiped my hands on a towel. I nodded to the guards and they led me out of the kitchen and to the meeting room. When I entered, I gave a scowl to Madara and he glared back. I sat down on the mat in front of Tajima san and waited.
"My men are going out for battle today. Use your ability to see if any of them are in danger." He said and one of the people in the room slid open a door on the other end of the room. There were about 50 people sitting there with their heads bowed. They lifted their head and I cringed back a little seeing all of their eyes glowing red with the sharingan. But I turned my head away with another scowl. "I don't want to." I said defiantly.
"Girl, do not test my temper." Madara growled. He looked more annoyed than usual but I didn't give in. "I said I don't want to." I repeated and he opened his eyes wide as his sharingan glowed. He snarled and picked me up by the collar and shoved me against the wall. I gasped as my back took the impact and I furrowed my brows in anger at Madara. His face was inches from mine and yes, he was literally snarling. And for the first time, I wasn't amused of his irritation. It was actually a little intimidating.
But then again, its not like he could do anything to me even if he got angry. I was important. So even if I refused to help them with my ability, they couldn't force me to use it using any kind of threat.
He let go of me and I scoffed as I smoothened out my clothes. But when I looked up, I stiffened. Madara was standing over me holding a sword in his hand. The aura around him was dark and menacing and I swallowed thickly. "It looks like you wish to suffer at my hands." He sneered out as he tightened the grip on his sword. I glanced at the blade warily and then back to his face. "What are you doing?" I asked and his response was a malicious smirk. "This time, you will experience pain in the real world, and not in my tsukiyomi." He chuckled.

I narrowed my eyes at him. "You cant hurt me. I'm too important an asset." He chuckled more and brought the blade to my cheek giving me a very very light and clean cut. I hissed as I felt a faint sting and he pulled his blade away. He lifted my chin with the tip of the blade and I stiffened as he stared down at me. No one bothered to say or do anything as Madara threatened me. In fact, they looked calm and as if they were leaving the matter in Madara's hands.
I was an asset! Even the Senjus said that protecting me was top priority! What was this doofus doing?!
"Asset? Of course you are an important asset. We need your power to become the strongest clan. However...." I did not like the way he paused. It gave me a really bad feeling. More so because of his smirk and the bloodthirsty look in his eyes.
"....you don't need arms or legs to do the job." I stiffened and my eyes went wide at what he said. "I can cut off your arms and legs....it would make it easier for us to watch over you as well. Just keeping you in a room would suffice. And the sight of you withering in pain and covered in blood will be entertaining." He smirked wider and brought his sword down leaving a deep cut in my right arm. I didn't even realize he had cut me until blood splattered on the wall and floor. My eyes went wide in shock at the speed.
I clutched my arm that was now bleeding profusely. I pressed myself against the wall and looked up at Madara, my heart pounding. What the heck was wrong with him?! His eyes were swirling with amusement and he was giving me a look that said 'I-dare-you-to-say-anything-now'. And he had definitely made me speechless.
"So what do you say girl? Maybe I should start with your feet. I'll enjoy watching you break and give up on that nasty attitude." He said and I looked down while clenching my jaw tightly. Who is the one with the nasty attitude? I thought. But I knew that he wasn't joking this time. He was going to really mutilate me if I didn't help them. My arm was throbbing and I could barely lift it. Blood was still pouring out of the cut and I applied pressure with my other hand to stop the bleeding. I didn't let out a sound. I wasn't going to be affected or shocked by a wound like this and I wasn't going to give Madara the satisfaction of seeing me feel the pain.
I took a deep breath and looked up at the people who were watching me. I don't think it was a good idea anymore to go against these guys.
"The one in the first row, third from the left. He's most likely to get hit in the head from the back. Make sure someone stays with him and alert to avoid the attack." "So you finally understand your position." I gritted my teeth at Madara's comment. But he was partially right. I didn't reply to his comment but I continued to give the information that they wanted.
>>End flashback
And my arm was still hurting. That Madara! Jeez he got on my nerves everytime!
But yeah, I was stuck here and so he had a great time bullying me. That smirk, that smug look on his face when he saw me being 'obedient'. I scrubbed the floor harder. Hard enough to destroy the flooring if it wasn't good quality wood.
I looked up as I heard footsteps. Madara was walking towards me with about ten people following him. They looked like they were returning from a fight with swords at their waist and other weapons on their back. Their clothes were slightly tattered and very dusty. Some of them had stains of blood too. Others had scratches and were bleeding. But they did look sort of proud....which meant that even thought they looked like run down cavemen, they had won the battle.
They walked past me and I twitched seeing the dark muddy splotches they left behind on the floor that I had just spent four hours cleaning till it was sparkling. And now, it was covered in mud again!
"Yah!" I stood up and called out angrily to Madara. He stopped walking and turned to me along with all the people who were following him. "I just finished cleaning this and you're covering it with mud again! Cant you jump like you usually show off your ninja abilities?!" I yelled and he chuckled. "And why would I do that for you? Clean it up again." He said and I resisted from growling. "Clean it up again? I am not a servant here! I'm supposed to be a guest who is helping you fight! Why should I be doing chores to begin with?!" I yelled. "Because you might as well put some use to yourself instead of getting fat from just eating and sleeping all day."
My jaw went slack. Get fat from eating and sleeping all day? That's it! Im done doing all these stupid chores! I threw the cloth to the ground as I fumed.
Izuna pov:
Aniki was back. I could feel his chakra along with all the members of the clan. We were missing two men but the others seemed alright. It looks like the battle had been won by us.
I had stayed back to look into the Uzumaki clan. The Senjus had just joined forces with them and they had improved in their fighting. As I had gathered, the Uzumaki clan had very high chakra and good sealing justu. They were a worthy foe and if the Senjus had joined up with them, it meant that their powers were probably on another level altogether. This was a crucial time for us and aniki needed to know all the details as soon as possible.
I walked to the infirmary where all the members had gathered. The healers were taking care of their wounds, although none of them were serious. "Aniki." I called and he turned his head to look at me. "Izuna. Did you get the information I asked for?" "Yes. Its quite a serious situation that we should discuss with father and the others. I believe drastic measure should be taken to prevent the Senju from getting any sort of advantage."
"Hn....talk to the old man huh? We'll do that tomorrow. Right now, I want to celebrate our victory. Send someone to bring sake to the gathering room and you should join us too." Aniki smirked and I chuckled. "Very well, aniki." I got up and looked at the others who bowed to me as I left the infirmary. I walked through the hallways and stopped when I saw Mio sitting in the hallways and scrubbing the floor. She looked angry and I saw a trail of mud in the hallway. It must have happened when aniki and the others walked through.
I gave an amused smile at her and shook my head. I was about to leave, but I stopped when she stood up with an angry scoff. She looked in the direction in which aniki had gone and gritted her teeth. "Ah jincha thapthapa neun ajusshi! [ah, seriously frustrating old man!]. Thwesso! Na anhae! [forget it! I'm not doing it!]" I couldn't understand what she said and I narrowed my eyes at the strange language. She sounded like she was scolding aniki and I didn't like it.
But as she said that, she threw the cloth down and walked away without finishing the cleaning. The two people we had assigned to watch her narrowed their eyes and followed her. I wanted to know what she was planning to do so I followed them as well. She kept walking and I was starting to think that she was trying to escape, but she stopped when she reached a garden. She took off her shoes and walked to the center of the grass field barefoot.
She took a deep breath and closed her eyes as she tilted her face to the sky. She didn't move after that and I just observed her.
She was rather good looking. She had straight and silky black hair that reached her mid back, she had smooth, fair and flawless skin, and her features were carved out to perfection. Besides her annoyingly disrespectful attitude, she could probably qualify as royalty for looks alone. She was slim and it looked like she maintained her figure. Her chakra was calm, evenly distributed and quite strong. She had the ability to predict danger, but I had a feeling that there was something else she was hiding.
She was silent and had a gentle look on her face when she was by herself. But when confronted, she would go into a bitter mood. Especially with aniki. She was very different from the Uchiha females. She didn't hesitate to speak her mind or yell when she was angry. She wasn't submissive or respectful to men. Its not that I was bothered by it. In fact, the change was refreshing. But I didn't like it when she spoke against aniki.
A few seconds passed and she opened her eyes. She let out a breath and she looked calmer than she was before. She turned to one of my men. "Hey, what is the date today?" She asked. "Its 15th if the fifth month." She put a finger to her chin thinking. "15th.....May....wait, what?!" She jumped suddenly and I frowned. "Aishh jinchha! Dashi ijjosso! [jeez seriously! I forgot again!]" She yelled in her language again and looked at the guards.
"Could you please take me to Madara? I really have to talk to him!" She said worried. "What do you have to talk to Madara sama? If you need anything, we are to...." She didn't let them complete and she flailed her arms vigorously. "Noooo!! I have something....I mean I may lose my abilities! You have to take me to him before its too late!"
It was clear that she was lying and the guards understood that too. But the guards nodded and began to lead her to aniki. I wonder what she has in mind....what was she planning? It's best if I was with aniki when she spoke to him. I wasn't going to let her try to fool him, even though her attempts would be futile anyway. Aniki wasn't the clan leader just for his power. He was the best strategist the Uchiha clan had ever had. He had outdone even tou sama.
I chuckled once before I turned around and headed to the gathering room.
