Mito was sitting down against a tree. She was in the middle of a training session with Sasuke.

Mito was trying to take down Sasuke using everything but taijutsu and fuinjutsu. She was already highly skilled taijutsu and fuinjutsu, so Sasuke was training her to be better at ninjutsu.

So she was pretty tired from using so much chakra.

While Mito was taking a break, Sasuke was patiently standing in front of her, looking off into the forest.

"Sasuke-Sensei?" Mito broke the silence.

Sasuke turned his attention to his student, showing he was listening.

"Can you tell about the sharingan?" Mito curiously asked.

"Why?" Sasuke cautiously asked.

"I've just been curious." Mito confirmed, then continued. "I hear a lot of things about the sharingan, so I guess I might as well ask someone with the sharingan."

Sasuke didn't show any emotion but decided to tell her. "The sharingan can do many things, some things you're just gonna wait and see."

"Can you tell me the things that I can see?" Mito hopefully asked.

Sasuke looked up in the sky, like he was thinking about the question Mito asked. Sasuke then looked at Mito and nodded. "What do you want to know?"

Mito smiled. "What was that purple rib cage thing, when we were fighting that dust lady?"

"That was the susanoo. It's basically a giant humanoid that I can control. All I did was summon the ribs. You can only do this by obtaining the Mangekyou Sharingan." Sasuke explained.

Mito tilted her head. Sasuke said that like it was extremely hard to the Mangekyou Sharingan. "You say that like it was difficult to obtain."

Sasuke sighed. "To obtain all levels of the sharingan, the user must go through extreme emotion."

Mito knew it was none of her business but she was really curious. "What did you have to go through to obtain that power?" She nervously asked.

Memories started going through Sasuke's head.

Sasuke was leaving the village to go meet up with Orochimaru.

After seeing Naruto improve so fast. And finding out how many missions he has done. He felt like he wasn't progressing fast enough, so he left to go train with the snake sannin.

While Sasuke was running, he was being followed by the Third Hokage and his ANBU team.

The plan was to meet up with a team Orochimaru sent and escape using a secret route.

But none of that happened.

Sasuke was cut off because the Third's ANBU had caught up to him.

"Damn it." Sasuke cursed.

An ANBU with a bird mask stepped up. "Sasuke Uchiha, you have been ordered by Lord Third to return to the village." Bird said.

Sasuke got into a fighting stance.

Then every ANBU surrounding Sasuke fell to the ground. Sasuke was confused about why they just fell to the ground.

Orochimaru then appeared behind Sasuke. "Hello child."

Sasuke jumped in surprise. He turned around and got a good look at the snake. "Orochimaru?" He said like it was a question.

The snake nodded. "Formalities will have to wait. Someone is coming."

"Who is it?"

Orochimaru licked his lips. "The Third Hokage."

Hiruzen Saratobi appeared in front of them. "Sasuke, it saddens me to see you doing this."

"And why is that?" Sasuke spitted out.

"Because you clearly haven't thought anything through."

"What is there to think about. I want power and Orochimaru is the only person who can give it to me." The Uchiha proudly said.

"Is he doing this because of how fast Naruto is processing or because he's that desperate to kill Itachi." Hiruzen questioned. "Maybe both."

"Sasuke, if you think that someone strong is the only person that can give you strength. Then you are sadly mistakened. Naruko didn't get her strength from her father the Fourth Hokage. He just taught her the basics and she improved on her own." Hiruzen said, trying to get in Sasuke's head.

Sasuke was stumped. He didn't know what to say back. Orochimaru noticed this and instantly attacked his old sensei. Hiruzen instantly summoned King Enma and knocked Orochimaru back.

The king then turned into a big black staff. Hiruzen grabbed the staff got into his signature stance.

"Sasuke, I know the truth about Itachi and why he killed your clan." He announced.

Sasuke instantly activated his sharingan. He grew angry after what Hiruzen said. "How dare you speak of my clan and Itachi. He is a cold hearted, power hungry killer." Sasuke screamed out.

Hiruzen shook his no. "None of that is true. Itachi is the greatest shinobi I have ever known. And there is a reason to why he killed your clan."

Sasuke was shocked. There's a reason why he killed the Uchiha. Sasuke had to know. He took a step forward to Hiruzen. Orocput his hand out in front of him.

"Don't believe him, child. He is only trying to bring you back to the village."

Sasuke didn't know who to believe.

"Sasuke you must choose, right now." Hiruzen announced.

Sasuke looked at Orochimaru then at Hiruzen.

Sasuke pulled out a kunai and slashed Orochimaru's arm. He ran to Hiruzen and got into a fighting stance next to him. He looked at Orochimaru. "I need to know the truth."

Hiruzen smiled and swung his staff at the snake.

Orochimaru didn't do anything. He just smiled. "I will get that sharingan." The staff connected to Orochimaru's head and he fell apart into snakes.

Hiruzen looked at Sasuke. "Let's go back to the village. What I'm going to tell you will be the greatest secret ever." They left the area.

They stood on top of the Hokage Monument. They were on the Third Hokage's head.

Sasuke looked at the village while Hiruzen told him everything.

"And that's the truth." Hiruzen concluded.

Sasuke was crying. He fell to his knees and started wiping the tears the out of his eyes. "What did Itachi want me to do?"

"He wants you to have a good ninja life here in the Leaf." Hiruzen answered. "So, what will you do?"

Sasuke turned around and revealed his eyes. Hiruzen saw that he had unlocked the Mangekyou Sharingan.

"I will protect the Leaf Village and have a good ninja life. And I will kill Itachi."

"Sasuke-Sensei are you ok?" She was waving her hand in front his eyes.

Sasuke shook his head. "Yea, I'm fine."

Mito started stretching and got into a ready stance. "I'm done with my break. Let's continue."

Sasuke smiled and went back to teaching.

Jiraiya is confronted by Pain, Konan, Naruto, Fu, and Madara.

Naruto, Fu, and Madara were told to stay back. Pain and Konan wanted to fight him. Jiraiya knew he couldn't win. If he managed to defeat Pain and Konan, he wouldn't have a enough strength to fight others. Especially Naruto.

So he decided to escape.

Naruto was gonna go after him but Pain told him not too. "Do not go after him. They will all be gone soon."

Madara walked away. He walked by Naruto and told him something only he could hear.

"You know what to do?" Madara walked away.

Madara teleported away and appeared in front of Itachi.

"Pain is going to destroy the Leaf. I am sending Naruto to go stop him. I am also sending you." Madara said.

Itachi looked up at him. "Why me, Naruto can handle him without me."

"I am sending you to go fight Sasuke."

Itachi glared at him. He has a deeper plan than to just unite the villages. He knows Naruto would still protect the Leaf and killing Pain would make Naruto listen to him more. And he knows I want to die by Sasuke's hand.

"Alright." Itachi left to go meet up with Naruto.
