《Only you can make me feel better... (Calamity x Drift)》Chapter 15: Secret revealed

A few days passed after Liam was kicked for his behavior. I still couldn't really get over it and was thinking about it almost all the time. But thank god Drift was with me. He was there for me and managed to still cheer me up again. He at least made me forget the bad things for some time.
Right now I was out in the garden practicing my shooting with the boom bow. I mean, my shooting was very accurate but I still practiced just to relax and clear my mind. I heard the door behind me open so I turned around and saw Drift standing there. I lowered my bow and walked to Drift, who was also making his way towards me. He didn't say anything and just gave me a sweet kiss on my lips. I kissed him back and broke the kiss. He asked. I said and gave him another kiss on his lips. I put my bow away in the gun box and left the house towards the mountain with Drift. As we made our way up there, we sat down on the same spot like last time. I was in Drift's arms and we watched the sun set. It was much more prettier this time. I said softly, as I comfortably laid in Drift's arms. Drift said.
I turned my head to Drift and so did he, causing me to look at his beautiful brown eyes. I scooted a little and now sat on his lap. I removed his black mask and slowly leaned in. We were both closing our eyes and finally our lips met each other again. My arms were around his neck and his arms around my waist. Drift lightly bit my lower lip, asking for entrance, and I gave it. He slipped his tongue in my mouth and a small moan escaped my lips. The kiss lasted for another 30 seconds and we broke the kiss to catch our breath. Drift leaned his head on mine and we looked at each other in the eyes. Drift said whispering. I said softly whispering back. Drift laid down on the grass on his back and I laid on his chest. Hearing his calm heart beat made me slightly feel sleepy. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
I started waking up and opened my eyes. I sat up straight and saw Drift had also fallen asleep. I noticed it was dark and the stars and moon were out. I checked my phone and saw it was 01:28. Oh shoot we've been asleep for a long time. I shaked Drift by his shoulder and he started to open his eyes. I whispered. We stood up and started walking towards Wailing. When we were walking past Dusty, I thought I saw a figure walking from Dusty, towards Salty. I asked Drift and he fixed his gaze on the figure. Drift asked as he concentrated on the figure. As he was walking on the path, he walked under the street light and I saw it was...

Liam...
I whispered/yelled. Drift said and we followed him being very sneaky and carefully. By now we entered the desert area, walking past Paradise Palms. He went into a building that looked like a small junk yard place. As he got inside, we went to the window to see what he was up to. But when we looked trough the window, I didn't see anything, but just a few boxes and some bookshelf's. Drift mentioned me to slowly and quietly follow him inside.
When we were inside, Liam was gone, like he vanished or something. Drift searched the left side of the small building and I searched the right side. I looked behind the bookshelf's that were here but didn't see anything. I turned around to walk towards Drift but as I walked, I noticed there was a tile that was loose. I kneeled down and inspected the tile. I brought my hand towards it and lifted it. I widened my eyes as I realized this was an entrance. So there was a secret bunker this whole time!
I yelled/whispered, and Drift walked towards me. He widened his eyes as he saw the secret doorway. I asked looking at Drift. I nodded and made my way down by using the ladder. I came down and so did Drift. We saw it was a hallway with a few fainting light sources. We kept on walking and walking and we eventually had to turn left. We saw some more lights coming from in front of us. At our left side, there were 3 doors and our right side it was like a small room with windows. So you could see the inside of the small room from the hallway. It was a room with a few computers but those were turned of. There was nothing to find it that small room so we made our way to the first door that we saw.
Drift carefuly opened it and I opened the second door, but we didn't find anything. I made my way to the last door and slowly opened it. I also noticed Drift was behind me now. As I opened the door, I froze in my tracks and just stared at the small room in horror. I saw a few blood stains and some kind of shackles and ropes tied to it. I recognized this room immediately and started shaking. Drift took notice and gently put his arms on my shoulders, causing me to lightly jump.
He asked worried. I said with a shaking voice. He said as he realized. He left the room and I followed him. We quietly followed the hallway and there was a bright light shining in front of us. I noticed it was a big space with a lot of doors. But when we walked on, I noticed there were people talking, so I quickly pulled Drift back and hid behind a stack of boxes. He was about to open his mouth but I put my index finger on his lips, mentioning him to shut up. He nodded and remained silent.

A man voice said. I heard Liam say. Who asked something from Liam and what the heck was he talking about? Who was this person? The man said. I carefully peeked from the boxes and indeed saw Liam with a man that looked like a guard. He had a combat shotgun. Then I saw a door open behind them and my eyes widened as I saw who walked out of that room.
It was Rodas...
He was actually hiding here the whole time. Drift noticed my shocked face. He asked curious. I whispered turning my head to him and then peeking again to watch Rodas, Liam and the guard. Drift took a quick peek and finally saw who Rodas was. Rodas asked talking ENGLISH. He learned to talk English?! I looked at Drift again and saw he was also shocked because Rodas was speaking English. Liam said with a slight chuckle. I instantly had a small flashback of when he was touching me. But Liam was working with Rodas all this time?! I couldn't believe it!
Rodas said and I shaked in fear, hearing those words. Drift put a hand on my shoulder as he noticed it. I looked at him. Drift whispered. I nodded and we quietly made our way to the ladder. But as we were walking, I accidentally touched some boxes with my shoulder and some boxes fell on the ground. But it was pretty dark so I didn't even see those boxes.
Me and Drift immediately looked back and saw Liam noticed the sound. He shouted and started running towards us with the guard. Rodas yelled. Me and Drift started running as fast as we could to the ladder and made it back in the junk yard building. We ran out of the building and just ran somewhere. I quickly glanced back and saw Liam and the guard were following us, but I couldn't see them clearly as it was midnight. The guard yelled at us. He also couldn't shoot at us with his shotgun because we weren't in range.
As we ran over the sand, I managed to see some kind of animal attached to a wooden pole and noticed it was a dark brown horse. It had a saddle on it but it looked like the horse was left by his owner. I said as I pulled Drift towards the horse. As we made it to the horse, I tried untying the ropes from the wooden pole. As I untied the ropes, I gently caressed her forehead and was relieved the horse was calm. I saw Drift look at me in disbelief.
He whined. I asked with a frown but it wasn't the right moment now to be scared of a horse. He shaked his head in fear. I shouted back and quickly got on the saddle of the horse. I helped Drift up as he sat behind me. I noticed Liam and the guard were pretty close by now. I said as I tightly grabbed on the horse reins and did a specific movement with the reins, causing the horse to start running.
I felt Drift's arms go around my waist as he screamed for his dear life. I chuckled and focused on getting away from Liam and the guard. With my legs I squeezed the horses sides, causing her to run even faster. Drift tightened his grip and squealed because he was scared, but I wasn't. After a few minutes of running, I noticed we were back in the green area and that we lost Liam and the guard. We kept on running towards wailing until we made it home.
I signaled the horse to stop as we made in to the front door. The horse came to a stop and I got of the horse and helped Drift get of too. I went to the front of the horse and caressed her forehead. I cooed and smiled at the horse. Drift asked as he came next to me. I explained with a sort of proud feeling of my self.
