Walking in the rain

Hood up

Head down

But the drops still manage

to hit my skin

I don't know when I realise

that it's not only drops of rain

rolling down my face

Hands numb

Eyes red

Walking in the rain

My fingers hurt

But I know that my heart

is in so much more pain

Walking in the rain

And that's when my brain decides

I need to see everything

Everything I've been running from

I get to re-live the pain

All my thoughts come crashing down

and so do the drops of rain

Inside now

Hood down

Head down

Eyes red

Crying

No longer walking in the rain

But I'm stil thinking of everything

Hands no longer numb

But my heart's broken still
