It's been 2 weeks since coming back from sailing the seas Beidou and I've fully adjusted to normal life back in Liyue. While I was out adventuring there was never a dull moment but this peace I feel just lounging around our house is just as good as adventuring.

But I'm starting to outdoors. Since Xiaos usually the one who goes out to work while I stay at home with Qiqi, I don't go out much other than to water his plants and buy groceries on the weekend.

Perhaps... I just miss the open ocean.

Aha ! I got it ! We can go to the beach tomorrow ! I'll tell Xiao as soon as he gets home.

And as if I was living in a fantasy world where everything I say magically happens the moment I say it, Xiao walks through the front door and greets me and Qiqi.

He tiredly walked towards us to collapse on the couch. I smile at his cute face because how could you not ?

He notices and comes closer to me to leave a kiss on my cheek.

"Oh, what are your thoughts on going to the beach tomorrow ?"

"... Well I've been kinda tired these past few days but maybe all I need is a vacation... what beach are we going to exactly ? The closest one I've noticed is Yaoguang Shoal and that's not exactly close to Liyue Harbor..."

I just smile at Xiao.

"... Is that really the only beach you know of ?"

"Well do you want to go to Qingxu Pool and get attacked by Hilichurls instead ?"

"Point taken."

I can hear him mutter under his breath 'I could handle them but it would be a pain...'

A grin grows on my face and stand up to quickly tell Qiqi we're going to the beach tomorrow and tell her to get ready.

I tell Xiao to start packing his things too while I prepare dinner.

To my surprise, Qiqi comes out already wearing her swimming clothing and the goat floaty we bought her. I should probably emphasize to her that we're leaving tomorrow but she looks so cute so maybe I can wait until after I finish making dinner...

The rest of the night goes by normally but I did notice Xiao held me tighter while we were cuddling... I guess me leaving for 3 months really made him miss me.

The night passes and we're greeted by a bright sunny day. Thankfully, it didn't rain on our beach vacation. So in high spirits, we all got ready. I made us some food to eat when we got there and with that, we were all ready.

We walk just outside of Liyue Harbors gate and prepare ourselves to dash to Yaoguang Shoal.

"You know... while I was out sailing with Beidou, I learned a couple of tricks. Wanna race ?"

"Oh ? You dare challenge me ?"

"A healthy competition never hurt anyone !"

"What about Qiqi ?"

Me and Xiao look behind us to see Qiqi standing expectantly.

"Xiao, you carry her. My methods of transportation may be a bit... dangerous." I say with the widest grin on my face.

Xiao reluctantly agrees and we both prepare to dash to Yaoguang Shoal.

"Get ready... 1... 2... 3... go !"

Xiao dashes ahead of me but I am able to follow behind my infusing my legs and feet with pyro to make me go faster.

I don't exactly know the science behind it but hey, it works !

Xiao had an early lead but I quickly overtake him. I carefully choose wear to run though because one wrong step and I might accidentally start a forest fire... eventually, we reach Yaoguang Shoal with me in the lead.

"You only won because I gave up my adeptal powers to revive you... kids these days have no respect for their elders..."

I just laugh it off.

Me and Xiao set up a picnic blanket while Qiqi played in the water.

We just relaxed on the blanket while Qiqi had her fun. This was more than enough for us but she seemed to have gotten bored since she begged us to join her.

And how could we say no to her face ?! You must be a monster to hate Qiqi. Like, even if I got her in a game instead of the character I wanted I couldn't ever bring myself to hate her ! ( 👀 )

But anyways, me, Xiao, and Qiqi all had a little water battle. Although Xiao and Qiqi had an unfair advantage since I can't use Pyro in the water... I still put up a good fight !

Xiao collected a ball of Anemo in his hands and used it to cause a hugs wave that came crashing down on me. But then Qiqi jumped in to freeze the water before it hit me and I quickly melted it before it could become any more of a problem.

"I guess we know who Qiqi likes better huh !"

"... This I cannot accept. Qiqi, please step aside. Me and Y/N will battle for your love."

"OK"

Qiqi waddled out of the water and sat on our picnic blanket and sipped on coconut milk while me and Xiao got serious.

I make the first move and raise pillars of fire from the ground around where he steps while he just dashes around them.

I erect a Pyro cage around him to try and trap him but instead he pierced through it with Anemo then leaps into the air with a spear he made out of Anemo.

Right before he strikes me a construct a pyro shield to block the attack and step back. He moves in to try and close the gap but I blow fire in a cone shaped area in front of me so he's forced to back off.

He looks for an opening while I try to keep my distance but still remaining on the offensive by making more fire pillars.

But then my balance is messed up when I step on a seashell and in that moment of weakness, Xiao leaps forward and gets behind me to make sure I don't fall and places his hand around my neck to restrain me.

Which is making me...

"Xiao... your hand is making me... aroused..."

Xiao immediately lets go and I fall down into the sand.

"Qiqi thinks Xiao is the winner."

"That's right Y/N ! Qiqi loves me more !"

"You win this round..."

Then I suddenly feel a drop of water on my face.

I then notice the clouds start turning dark. Then it starts to lightly rain.

Me and Xiao pack up our things while Qiqi waits by under a rock so she doesn't get sick from the rain.

Me and Xiao finished packing up and went to Qiqi so we could go home but she still looked like she wanted to play so...

"Wanna go play in the rain ?"

Her eyes light up and she runs off to go play in the rain. I join her and Xiao follows.

We spent the rest of the day just running around in the rain before we had to go home and go to bed.

Tired from such a fun and eventful day, we all fell asleep quickly.
