Courtney listened to what Benji had to say.
"You're going to run away from this building. Once you get to the end of the street, turn left."
Courtney ran away from the building. She glanced over her shoulder and realised she was being followed by the Apostles.
"Great." She mumbled to herself.
Instead of turning left when she got to the end of the street, she turned right.
"Courtney, why are you disobeying me?!" Benji asked her.
"I'm being followed." Courtney said. "Give me a different route."
The men of the Apostles started closing in on her.
"Benji, hurry up!" Courtney yelled into the ear piece.
"Ok, run straight ahead!" He told her.
"Grab her!" One of the men yelled. "We don't want her to get away."
Courtney watched the men.
"Jenkins, why aren't you moving?" Benji asked. "Hunt's getting further away."
Courtney quickly punched a few men and ran straight ahead. She could hear the other men follow her.
She ran into a church. There was a wedding happening. Everyone looked at her.
She stopped running.
The men were surrounding her, making sure she wouldn't escape.
"I'm so sorry." She said, staring at the priest.
The priest looked at her. He was speechless.
Courtney looked at an exit that none of the Apostles were at.
She glanced at the bride and groom.
"I hope your wedding goes well." She said as she ran to the exit.
The men followed her.
Benji stared at the tablet he was using to track Courtney and Ethan. He, as well as August and Luther, were currently in a truck. They would meet Courtney at the destination she would last be at.
Courtney ran upstairs.
"Why is she running in circles?" Benji asked himself.
As soon as she got to the top of the stairs, she saw a metal gate. She ran past it and slammed it shut. The men stared at her, trying to grab her.
She ran away from them and quickly climbed down a ladder.

"Benji, where do I go now?" She said to the ear piece.
"Keep running straight!" He told her.
She ran into a building and went into an elevator. As soon as she was out of the elevator, she realised she was in an office.
The workers in the office just stared at her; their mouths were open wide.
"Turn left." Benji said through the ear piece.
Courtney watched a woman get off her chair and took advantage of it. She grabbed the chair and broke the window.
"What are you doing?" Benji asked her, confused.
"I'm jumping out a window!" Courtney said to the ear piece.
"You're jumping out a wh—" Benji quickly realised he was in 2D mode. "Sorry, I had it on 2D."
Courtney sighed and stared outside. She jumped out the window and landed on the roof of a building. She glanced at the office workers who were staring at her and ran away.
"You're almost there!" Benji said to her as she jumped from roof to roof. She climbed down a drainage pipe and saw Ethan going into a side door of a building.
"You're catching up on him, Courtney." Benji told her.
Courtney quickly ran to the side door and opened it, going inside.
Courtney saw Ethan get into an elevator. She watched it slowly go up. She jumped and held on to the bottom of the elevator.
Ethan noticed her and aimed a gun at her.
Courtney stared him. "You're too afraid to do it, aren't you?"
He nodded a little. "I can't hurt you again. I've done that too many times."
He saw a gap between the elevator and the floors.
"Get in here." He said to her.
"I can't."
"Just get in here."
She quickly moved her hands towards the end of the elevator. He grabbed her wrists and helped her climb inside.
"Why do you want me here, Lark?" She stared at the metal wall of the elevator.
"I'm not Lark." He sighed. "I promise."

She glanced at him as he kept talking. "Courtney, Walker's lying to you."
Ethan looked at her neck. "They tagged you, huh?" He then looked at her ear. "And they gave you an ear piece."
He took the ear piece out of her ear and threw it away. He then removed the tagging machine's chip from her neck.
"You should join my team." He smiled slightly. "You'd be great."
"Would I?" She asked him as he nodded.
"I've got a mission in Kashmir." He told her. "You could help me."
The elevator reached the top floor. He got out of the elevator and held his hand out for her. He smiled when she took the offer and walked with her to a ladder.
"Our ride is up there." He said. "You can go first."
She climbed up the ladder and stared at a helicopter. Her eyes widened and her mouth gaped open.
Ethan climbed up the ladder. "Do you like it?"
"Mhm." She looked at him.
He helped her get into the helicopter and watched her sit down.
Solomon made it into the helicopter. He looked at Ethan.
"So you got Jenkins?" He asked.
Ethan nodded.
Solomon watched Courtney look out the window.
Ethan nudged her. She looked at him.
"What do you want?" She asked him.
"You look dehydrated." He gave her a glass of water. "You should drink this."
She drank some of the water. "Thanks."
"You're welcome." He smiled.
Courtney drank more of the water. She set the glass down and felt a little.. odd.
"Are you ok?" Ethan asked her, making her look at him. "You look pale."
"I feel strange." She replied.
"What do you mean by strange?" He stared at her eyes.
"I feel like I'm floating in mid air." She said. "And I feel so dizzy."
Ethan wrapped his arm around her waist, allowing her to cuddle into him.
"Maybe Walker did something to you." He suggested.
"Maybe." She said, slowly starting to close her eyes.
"Go to sleep, Courtney." Ethan whispered to her. "I'll wake you up."
She closed her eyes and fell asleep on him.
"Step one complete." Ethan said.

August looked at Benji. "Why are you being so quiet?"
"I've got bad news." Benji sighed. "Really bad news."
Luther stared at them. "Benji, just say it."
"I haven't heard from Courtney in 20 minutes." Benji said. "And her tagging chip isn't connecting to the tablet."
August grabbed tablet and looked at it. "Seems like Hunt's going to Kashmir."
"Great." Luther said, being sarcastic. "What do we do now?"
"You could drive to Kashmir." A female voice said, making the men look around for a person.
The woman walked towards them. "There's a Jeep outside."
Benji looked at her. "How did you get here, Ilsa?"
"I watched Jenkins look for someone so I snuck inside." Ilsa explained.
Benji stayed quiet.
"I had no idea Hunt was John Lark." She suddenly said.
"He thought Walker was Lark." Luther sighed.
The three spies kept talking to each other. August glanced at the tablet every so often.
"We should probably go." August said, interrupting their conversation. "I think he's got Courtney."
Ilsa led the men to the Jeep.
August sat at the driver's seat and passed Luther the tablet.
"What way do I go?" He asked.
"Turn right and drive straight." Luther told him.
August drove fast. He didn't care if he was past the speeding limit. Even if he was stopped by the police, he would just show them his Spy ID.
"August, you're past the speeding limit!" Benji yelled. "Will you slow down?"
"I'll just show them my ID, Benji!" August frowned.
August was never this far apart from Courtney. He realised how stupid he was for letting her find Ethan by herself. He should've went with her or find Ethan by himself. He had to find her before it was too late.

The rewritten version of the same ongoing story, recast into Past Tense and lightly edited. Inspired by the intrigue, drama, and destruction whispered to us by ancient history, this story is set in a world where magic is slowly dying, and decadent empires struggle against each other as well as against the barbarian hordes pushing ever westward. The story is told from the viewpoints of three people whose actions will change the fate of nations and empires alike: Amazonia. More than just a female gladiator but a champion of the arena, she will win her freedom at a price: to become a Reaver Knight not seen since the days of ancient Babylonia, with a mission to save the empire that enslaved her from destruction at the hands of a rival empire, the Sasnayams. Wysper. A Celtic priestess stolen away from her homeland by Muzen, high priest of the Sasnayam deity Yun-Kax, she possesses a mana node like a second heart inside her body which Muzen rips out each time he 'sacrifices' her to their god to appease the masses. Despite her strong will, everyone has a limit, and Muzen's actions have driven Wysper close to the edge of suicide. Greywolf. Son of the infamous Shadow-walker, Ghostdog, and the Celestial Asena, who was once revered as the Wolf-mother goddess, but now guards caravans for drinking money. His boring life will change when his impulsive act puts Wysper's life in danger, yet saving her risks his death, or enslavement at Muzen's hands. And all the while, the White Horde sits on the edge of empires, biding its time...

Cosmic Bulldozing Team
"Welcome to the Cosmic Bulldozing Team! CBT for short... references to any other acronyms are purely coincidental." Breve has one exceptional gift: an inborn potential for Resurrection magic. The cost? Every other healing spell she casts is absolutely paltry in comparison to the rest of her race, making her family outcasts within her society. That potential alone, however, classes Breve as a Rank A Healer. By what metric? Well, by the crazy elf lady who’s about to destroy her planet. Wait, what? Here's the low-down: her planet has been targeted by the Cosmic Bulldozing Team, which, as their name suggests, operates in the apparently lucrative business of destroying planets. This comes with the unfortunate side-effect of also murdering everyone who lives there. And Breve would’ve been killed, too, if she hasn’t unintentionally passed their audition for a new healer. Unwillingly saved by the people who just annihilated everything Breve ever knew and loved, she’s dragged into a massive spaceship before, without a moment’s reprieve, being assigned missions to sally forth and commit the same atrocities on other planets. And with Breve's home lying in a pile of celestial bedrock, it seems that cooperating is the only option. And she will cooperate, or so help her, they'll send her back whence she came: into the void of space, where the smashed rubble of her planet now drifts along. "Buckle in, rookie: you've got some planetary destruction ahead of you." (Updates every 2 days.)
