'Ugh it hurts so bad' you thought. You had cut your hand on a broken branch when you tripped up.It was across your palm.It was covered in dirt.You sat and watched the line. You where cold , tired and a bit hungry.You tried hard to keep your eyes open.You then started fidgeting with your ring on your finger.You weren't married it was your family ring that your mother gave you before you left for the war.You then heart the crunch of boots get closer to you.You didn't look round , you were to cold too.

"Hey y/n , you ok" the person said sitting next to you. It was Eugene. "Yea , Yea I'm ok" You said.He then noticed your hand. "What happened to your hand" he said."I-I just fell" You said softly looking at him."Here let me bandage it up" Eugene said.He softly held your hand up the way to help it.He softly wipped it and got out a bandage.

"Looks sore" Eugene said."Was when it happened but the cold helped numb it" you said shivering.he finished the bandage and stayed for a while.he noticed how tired and cold you where.He left to let you focus but was going to find you later on.

You where back in your foxhole now. You where shivering. The shelling had already gone off so you hoped for a bit of sleep at least tonight.You then saw Eugene waking towards you with a blanket he was able to find."Hey y/n " he said cuddling in next to you.He wrapped the blanket around you both to keep the heat.He held you in his arms as you both huddled under the blanket to keep warm.for once you felt safe.He was being very gentle with you. He didn't want to hurt you in anyway possible.You then started to feel tiny little warm kisses along your neck.it felt nice so you gave him more access to it.he planted more kisses onto your neck.it felt nice and soothing.

He then made his way towards your lips.It was a soft passionate kiss.He softly traced shapes on your back as you both kissed.Eugene felt something he hadn't felt in a long time. Comfort. He felt comfort while being with you.
