For once in this unholy war , you felt happy.You where sat in a bar in England with the rest of easy company. You where all having a good time drinking and laughing.

You where sat in the corner after having getting yourself another pint. You then caught a glimpse of shifty. Your heart pounded and a slight blush came across your face.He gave you a small smile from across the room which you returned softly before taking another big sip of your beer.

Leibgott saw shifty smiling at you."You and y/l/n huh" leibgott said with a smirk."Nothings happening leibgott" he said drinking his beer."You sure about they shifty" George laughed as shifty went bright red.

You looked over at shifty to see him bright red.you smiled.You went up to get another drink when music started and people started dancing.You listened to the song and relised it was your favourite song that was on.

Shifty looked over at you. He knew this was one of your favourites so he decided to ask you to dance.he made his way over to you. You looked round at him as he offered his hand for you to dance with him."Care for a dance" he asked gently."Of corse" you smiled taking his hand.He gently pulled you over to where other people where dancing.He put his hands on your waist. You danced with shifty to the beat.

You where hooked on shifty's warm and gentle eyes. They where welcoming and you loved them.You loved him more to the fact. Your arms rested on his shoulders.he softly held your waist while dancing.he then started speaking softly in your ear. He was being very gentle with you which you liked.

After the music ended , he gently pulled you up a bit and then kissed you. You kissed him back. It was the most soft and passionate kiss you've ever had in your life.you heard people cheering from behind you both.He smiled into the kiss which made you smile.That was the best 6 minutes of your life. Shifty was the best thing in your life.

Your heart felt like it shattered. You where in Austria and then name had just been chosen of who got to go home. It was shifty.'why couldn't we stay together' you thought.He was going back home while you where going to be still in Austria.

After you had fallen out, shifty ran to you and pulled you into a hug."Come find me back in Virginia ok" he said.you nodded into his chest.He pressed a kiss into your forehead.He didn't want to leave you and wanted to bring you with him. He really did.

You walked up to the front door. You had arrrived in Virginia just shy of 1hr trying to find shifty's house which you finally did.You knocked on the door and stood back a little. The door opened and shifty's eyes widened and a smile came across his face."Y-you came" he whispered as he pulled you into a huge hug."Course I did baby" you said before you kissed him.both of you lived a happy life with 5 kids , 3 boys and 2 girls. You both loved each other till death did you part.
