"All the best."
Shyra hugged me before I went down to the ground.
"Thanks." I kissed her temple.
*
"And into the crowd goes the ball!" The commentator spoke.
"KL in the form today." He added.
The next ball was wide.
I could see the tension in the air.
We needed 36 runs off 10 balls.
The next ball was bowled and we took 3 runs.
Virat was on strike now.
"And that's another six!"
Both of us walked to the middle of the pitch.
"27 runs more. We can do this." Virat said.
I nodded and we walked back, Virat taking the strike.
Dot ball.
Virat calmed himself down. He waited for the next ball.
"BOWLED!"
Virat was bowled.
"Sri Lanka still in the game."
He shook his head, and walked off the ground.
Hardik came on to the ground, jogging towards me.
"They told us to take it our way." He informed.
I nodded.
Looking up at the balcony, I saw Shyra speaking to Anushka, who flew down today morning.
The girls were in a deep conversation.
Soon enough, the time was out and the next over started.
I was on strike.
It was a short ball. I tried connecting it to a six, but failed. We managed to take 2 runs.
"25 off 5 balls. Let's see what the Indian lads do."
"And that's a four by Rahul!"
21 off 4.
Rahul, it's achievable. Calm down.
This time, I smashed a six.
"Another fifty for KL Rahul!" The commentator said.
The crowd erupted into cheers.
I saw Shyra clapping, with a smile on her face.
"15 runs needed off 3 balls."
I hit another six.
"And into the crowd once again!"
9 off 2.
The bowler bowled a full toss, and I connected it.
It went flying out of the stadium.
I just stood there, watching it go.
Wow.
"KL Rahul on fire! The ball is out of the stadium. What a massive six that was."
Hardik jogged upto where I was standing.
"That was awesome!" He said.
"3 off 1." I told him.
He nodded.
"You got this." He told me, and jogged back to the non striker's end.

The bowler bowled a yorker this time. I don't know what happened or what I did, the umpire lifted his finger up, signalling I was out.
"Sri Lanka win the match!"
*
Though we lost, I still won the M.O.M. After collecting the award, I walked off the ground, and upstairs to the balcony.
"Rahul! You were amazing!" Anushka hugged me.
"Thank you. Where's Shyra?" I asked her.
"She had to leave early for her video shoot."
I was disappointed. I mean, I knew she had to leave, but at 7. It's just 6:15 now.
She could've stayed a bit longer.
More than disappointed, I was hurt.
I walked into the dressing room. My teammates congratulated me for the award.
I took a shower and changed into a pair of sweats, and a jersey.
Checking my phone, I saw 5 missed calls from Shyra and a text message.
I called her back, but she didn't pick. I then read the message.
Also, what's up with the match result?
Wow.
Was she even there for the entire match? When did she even leave? And by early, how early did she leave?
This is really pissing. I clearly mentioned it to her that I wanted her to stay for the entire fucking match.
Couldn't she spare a few minutes more?
I was very annoyed, pissed and hurt, and it showed clearly on my face.
Hardik came upto me and asked what the matter was.
Okay, so Hardik and I are really close. There's not even one thing we hide from each other.
I told him exactly what was running in my mind.
"Bro, chill. Maybe it was really important and that's the reason why she left." He tried defending her.
"Let's just go this ZAZA Bar street. I need to talk to her." I told him.
*
There was a huge crowd gathered.
Security tried keeping people atleast ten metres away from the shooting area.
Samantha saw me and waved. She got us through.
"What's up? How was the match?" She asked.
"Lost by 3 runs." Hardik told her.
"Which scene is being shot?" I asked Samantha.
"Oh this is the last scene. We tried rushing today. Can't keep the street busy for a long period of time now, can we? Last day, last shot." She smiled.

People in the production, stood on ladders and some on top of a few buildings, pouring water down on to Shyra and some guy, making it look like it's raining.
"Action."
Shyra looked at the guy, and kept her palm on his face, rubbing his cheek with her thumb.
She then leaned in and kissed him.
WHAT!
They kissed for five to six seconds before the directed screamed cut.
What just happened?
She kissed some random guy, because the director asked her to? Because her fucking video needs that?
I was angry. I was fucking angry.
Hardik held my arm. He knew I was angry.
"Congratulations everyone. We're done with the shooting." The guy sitting on the director's chair, said.
Shyra saw me standing with Samantha. Her face lit up seeing me.
She ran towards me.
Before she could hug me, I backed off.
"Just don't." I spat, walking away from there.
*
"Why did you walk away like that?" Shyra asked, entering my room.
"Shyra, just go. Trust me, I don't want to see your face." I told her, rashly.
"What did I even do?" She shouted.
"Oh what did you do? I clearly told you I want you to be there for the entire match, but you left early for that fucking music video of yours. You don't even know that we lost the match. You don't even know that I won the Man of the Match. Because you were so busy kissing some random stranger." I shouted.
"Rahul, they needed me there. It was for my music video. I couldn't keep them hanging. I left after you completed your fifty, 'cuz I had to. I had no other choice. And about the kiss, I called you five fucking times to inform you about that. Stop making it sound like I cheated on you." She said.
"You could've atleast texted me about that. You texted where you're going and why, but you couldn't text about the kiss?" I asked.
"I'm sorry, I didn't." She shouted.
"Wow. You have the fucking audacity to shout at me, even after you know you're the one at fault here." I said.
"I came there to talk to you, not see you kiss some other guy." I shouted.
"Rahul, for fuck's sake, stop making it sound like I fucking cheated on you. It was just a kiss for my music video. And I'm not at fault, okay!" She shouted back.
"Oh, so if I go around kissing random girls, are you fine with it?" I asked her.
She didn't answer.
"Answer me, Shyra." I shouted, holding her arms.
"Rahul, it was for my music video." She answered.
"Yeah right. Who knows? I wonder how many guys you kissed back in California in the name of music video." I spat.
"Shut up, Rahul." She shouted.
I pulled her closer.
"Why? Did my words hurt you? But most certainly, your actions did hurt me." I said, through gritted teeth.
"Rahul, you're hurting me. Leave me." She said.
I pushed her back.
"Listen. I haven't cheated on you. Stop blaming me for something I haven't done." She told me.
"You know, after we lost the match, I was really upset. I thought I'd meet you and lighten up my mood. But you were fucking busy kissing some guy in the name of music video." I shouted.
"Do you really think that?" She asked.
There were tears in her eyes.
"Well, I do." I shouted again.
"And you know what?" I started.
I took off the ring from my finger and threw it at her.
"To do hell with this fucking relationship." I told her.
She picked up the ring from the floor, tears falling from her eyes.
"Rahul." She cried, trying to reach for my hands.
"Just shut up." I shouted, moving back.
I was really angry.
"You're free now. Kiss as many guys you want. Do whatever the fuck you want." I said.
"We're over, Shyra."

Wildling
Blurb: Silas--a scavenger living off the ruins of humanity--has spent his entire life fighting tooth and nail to provide for himself and his crew. But when a scavenging run goes awry and he's snatched up by an android patrol, he finds himself thrown into a cage and priced to sell as a pet. And when a suitor comes calling, he fears the worst: that he'll be turned into a Domestic, a human lapdog brainwashed into total obedience. Instead, he discovers an equally disturbing truth: that the creatures who stole his world have created a videogame the likes of which Earth has never seen; a sprawling, game-like theme park where humans are the Avatars and androids are the players who control them. And to make matters worse, his android guide is as hopeless as they come, having gotten all of her previous Avatars killed in record time. So if Silas wants to regain his freedom, he'll not only have to fight his way through a world that was specifically designed to murder him in brutal fashion--he'll also have to convince his android guide that he should be the one calling the shots. FAQS: Q: Who are you, handsome stranger? A: I'm Kyle Kirrin, the author of Shadeslinger, book 1 of The Ripple System, published by Portal Books, and I write crunchy LitRPG. Q: What is Wildling? And is it complete? A: Wildling is a crunchy LitRPG mash up of Fantasy and Science Fiction. And yup, Wildling is already complete at 64 chapters, or about 120,000 thousand words. You're looking at something like a third draft here--it's fairly polished, but it hasn't been picked over by a copy editor yet nor has my developmental editor seen it. Q: Upload schedule? A: 5 initial chapters today (2/15/2021) and one chapter a day for the next month. After that I'll probably slow down to 2 or 3 chapters a week until the story is complete. Q: How crunchy is it? A: It's pretty crunchy. I'd put it on the same tier as Ascend/The Land/RSSG, but it might be a bit crunchier than those three? Q: Is this the first book in a series or a web novel or what? And what are your plans for it? A: It's currently a standalone with series potential. Full disclosure: this story may head the way of my publisher eventually, but will be available on RR for quite a while no matter what. Likely several months after it's complete with plenty of warning before/if it's taken down. Q: What kind of build does the MC create? A: Sword and board! Q: Crafting? A: Plenty! Crafting isn't as center stage as it is in The Way of the Shaman, but it's close. Q: Base building? A: Two fully separate, distinct bases, both of which play a major role in the story. Q: VRMMO? Portal? Reincarnation or what? A: This one's a bit tricky. Basically an advanced race has created a game-like world that closely resembles a theme park. Think Westworld but with copious amounts of loot. And the MC has to fight his way through that to earn his freedom. Q: Permadeath? A: Nope! The MC gets 3 lives to play through the entirety of the game world, and death is extremely punishing, but not fatal. Q: Harem? Or romance? A: No and no. Q: Cursing? Blood? A: Quite a bit of cursing, yeah. There's blood, too, but it's not a gory book by any means. Q: How can I support? A: Instead of a Patreon/donations etc, I'd ask that you consider giving my debut LitRPG Shadeslinger a chance. It's free on Kindle Unlimited and the audio is already out narrated by Travis Baldree. It's an epic fantasy VRMMO where the main character gets 3 days of exclusive access to a new game plus a snarky, talking axe to guide him through it in exchange for agreeing to become the target of a serverwide manhunt once the Head Start period ends. Q: How's it similar to Wildling? And how's it different? A. The crunch level is very similar, but Shadeslinger is a much lighter, epic fantasy take on the genre. It's also VRMMO, but without any real world components aside from the first chapter. The MC is very different--he comes off as a bit of a jerk early on and can take a bit to warm up to, especially before his backstory is revealed--but he's also got a talking axe that constantly puts him in his place. Shadeslinger's a much more humorous story in general, and it's a great deal more polished as well. Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoy Wildling!

The Second Coming of Fate [A High Fantasy Story]
Prologue Arc: The Day That Begins Your Fate - COMPLETED Story Arc 1: Chaos in the Lamorian Kingdom - ONGOING Please consider following/leaving a rating. I plan to turn this into a long lasting series, and it would really mean a whole lot to me. :) ----- Having succumb to amnesia, Galvin one day appears in the Grand Forest east of the capital kingdom Lamora. For the next two months, he lives a perfectly carefree yet boring life until one fateful day changed everything. Encountering all sorts of characters and dealing with all sorts of shenanigans, Galvin begins to experience visions of what appears to be the future. With this newfound power in a world full of magic, yet plagued with war, discrimination, and brutality, will Galvin be able to change fate…or die trying? ----- Do you like stories where the protagonist doesn't start out strong and is deeply character driven (with a LOT of inner monologues)? A story that has its fair share of comedic and dark moments? Well then you've come to the right place! However, if you're looking for LitRPG mechanics, then unfortunately, this story doesn't contain too many of them. The dynamics of the story will be based on real life physics and mechanics (with a bit of magic of course!) Also, I delve deeply into a lot of disturbing topics, so readers do be warned. However, if any of this sounds interesting to you, then please come by and give my story a read. ----- Expect releases as soon as possible (which is like 4 - 10 days). Just know that I'm writing this story as it progresses, so a lot of first drafts are to be expected. :D

The Last Guild: Remastered
Crimson Strife, the most famous guild in all of Eternia. Known far and wide for amazing feats and powerful users. In the final days of Eternia, members would start to quit as the day for shutdown drew closer. In the final minutes of the game, the founding members of Crimson Strife came together and waited for the end. However the end didn't come as expected, instead something new began.I have taken over the writing of this series from Thecode. Since this is the first time I am writing a fanfiction, I am very open to people posting comments in order to tell me what I am doing wrong or how to make the series better. I will also do my best to respond back to people's comments. I will upload a picture once I figure out how to do so. The first few chapters will be pretty much what Thecode uploaded before with a few changes in order to set up the story. I will try to upload a new chapter at least once every three days.

Dauntless: Origins
Snow white hair, blue eyes, pale. Devil, monster, mutt, failure. This story follows one Tyr Faeron, crown prince, heir primus and mass murderer. A wrathful, angry, and lost young man that has made it his goal to hunt down the men that killed his mother - and he is on the cusp of finishing the promise he'd made before her cairn stones so many years ago. On the surface he is duplicitous, whimsical, and base of cunning - but within the depths beyond the many masks he wears, something is waiting. Waiting for an end, the end he'd come to long for, whether it be to himself or any possible threats in his vicinity. After that long labor of vengeance is completed... Nobody knows, not even him - an arrogant and otherwise solitary individual with nothing in the way of friends - only the brothers of the blackguard who follow him through life as he pursues this mission. He was born a prince, but he'd be called a disappointment - failing to manifest the great power that he was born to before being summarily discarded by his father, a 250 year old 'primus'. That word again... Men who can shatter mountains and level cities, that's what he was supposed to be. Some call them demi-gods, all Tyr sees is a poor excuse for a parent. Time had made him bitter, cruel, and arguably psychotic - seeing only enemies wherever he looks. They'd come for him, too, one day - to wipe the slate clean and make room for another - and it's his conviction to ensure that he dies while taking as many of those rats with him. This is a story about finding acceptance, growth, and understanding - from the point of view of a cold and brutal individual who wears many masks. Of someone who was born to be the greatest emperor the eastern continent has ever seen - but he failed in that. Strong, yes, but only in the context of a man - Tyr's magic is weak. His convictions are weak. He has been made a beast of instinct by loss and a constant confronting of his own impotency in the face of his father. A mythos that stretches across planes, of magic, a pantheon of cruel gods. Of someone who's dedicated his entire mind to the art of killing a man, and none to living a normal childhood or coming to understand friendship, empathy, or compassion. The first five years of his life a mystery, a hole none have ever been willing to fill, leaving him warped and twisted. His formative years gone and what must've been most of his humanity along with it. Now 17, he is on the cusp of leaving the city he'd never been permitted to leave for what might be the first time in his life. Always searching, though he won't know what for, for some time. An episodic that follows experience and symbolism rather than a never ending series of battles - where the conflict lay in constantly searching for wholeness in lieu of great villains or heroes. This is where it all started, the origin, the tale told a million times - and yet it hadn't been, 'reality' is tricky like that. The greatest lie ever told by the tongue that speaks is that any of this was real at all.
