Y/n's pov
This damned virus...I can't control it....please Phyrra...Blake if you can hear me... K-ki-KILL ME!!!
Nightmare: Let me show you his mind. Give you a taste of his agony.
I...or nightmare dashed towards Ruby and tapped her head and she drifted off.
Yang: Ruby!!!
Blake: What did you do to her?!?!
Nightmare: I made her fall to a virus. The same that inhabits y/n's every thought and waking moment. She will be the first to feel his pain.
Ruby's pov
I woke up in the emerald forest except it was all red. And the sky was pitch black.
Ruby: He...hello? Is anyone there? Yang? Blake? Y/N?
Suddenly I heard screaming and saw a bright glow through the woods. I ran towards the light and found Y/N's old village being attacked by the white fang.
Nightmare: Now you see? The pain and agony of this looping nightmare.
He'd placed his hand on my shoulder. Nightmare didn't want to hurt me or at least it didn't seem that way. He was speaking calmly and seemed more remorseful than vile.
Ruby: What happened?
Nightmare: Y/N had suffered so much just from this one event. He blames himself for everything here that has happened.
Ruby: Yeah I get that. Losing family is hard.
Nightmare: it's more than that. His family chose to be pacifist in this world of genocide. He blames himself for breaking the family oath as well as the friends he lost in the attack. That includes Blake.
Ruby: Poor kid... how long has this been going on?
Nightmare: His dreams of his parents death and suicide started when he was 8 and the nightmares of the attack just prevent him from sleeping. He hears the screams and smells the burning flesh. I wish I could stop what is happening to your friends.

Ruby: What's going on?
Nightmare: I am two sides. One part of me is pure agony. The other is rage. While I talk and show you his memories of the damned, he uses the rage to enhance his speed and attack.
Ruby: How do we get him to stop?
Nightmare: You must make him cry.
I looked at nightmare confused
Ruby:Make him cry?
Nightmare: He needs to let his emotions leave his body. If you make him cry, he will feel better. As most humans do.
Ruby: How will I get him to cry?
Nightmare: Share his pain and agony. Show him he's worth more than the shit he calls himself.
Ruby: Do you think it will work?
Nightmare: Positive. Now go.
A bright light filled the land. And as I re opened my eyes, I had re entered the real world.
Nightmare/ Y/N: Welcome back rose. Ready to die?!
