《Don't Forget You're Mine || Jerrie》5

A shy smile spreads on Jade's face as she watches Perrie order frozen yogurt for them both. The last few days have been quite tough, with the internet gushing about the news of the break up. Interviewers are constantly trying to bring the subject up, which serves no other purpose than making everyone uncomfortable. Perrie has been quite down, having a hard time handling it all, but today it looks like she woke up in a good mood. The light is present in her blue eyes again, her happiness is slowly coming back, and Jade just cannot look away. She is mesmerized.
After the conversation they had on the flight to Los Angeles, Perrie and Jade had gone back to being regular bandmates; no more secret kisses in hotel rooms. In the beginning it felt like that is right thing to do, but as the days passed, Jade came to miss this side of Perrie. They still are very close and see each other every day, all day, but it is not the same. Jade often wonders if she will ever be able to forget that night is Sweden. Sometimes she wishes she could, so everything would be simple again. In other times, though, she holds onto this memory like holding for dear life. It feels too precious to lose.
"Jade, we're going out tonight," Jesy says, interrupting her bandmate's train of thoughts. It is already the third time this morning Jesy had reminded Jade that they have plans for tonight.
"Yeah, I remember," Jade replies. "Why do you keep mentioning that? Have you got something up your sleeve, Jesminda?" She asks in a playful tone.
"You're going to have to wait to find out," Jesy says with an amused smile.
"This is already such a good day," Perrie says while handing one serving of frozen yogurt to Jade. The blonde watches her own serving with eyes wide open and a hungry smile. Jade agrees, and soon Jesy and Leigh-Anne receive their orders as well and all four girls step out of the shop. While doing so, Jade takes Perrie's hand, leading her outside. She hopes this little gesture will not appear as meaningful to anyone. It is warm and sunny outside, the perfect summer weather. Jade feels wonderful in her white dress and colourful flower crown.
he next few hours are quite busy. The girls attend a meeting with their management company, in which they learn that they got a casual offer from Taylor Swift to join her on tour for one night. Everyone is excited, and it makes the day even better. Then, Jade, Jesy, Perrie and Leigh-Anne go to the Radio Disney Music Awards, where they do plenty of interviews, meet fans and play a few songs. Jade tries to keep her distance from Perrie, wishing certain thoughts will disappear by doing so. Yet no matter how hard she tries, Jade cannot stop replaying that kiss in her head. She thinks of how perfect it was and how badly she wants to do it again. If only everything was simpler.
In the evening, Perrie sits on Jade's bed at the brunette's hotel room. Jade is getting ready for her night out with Jesy, and the two youngest members of the group have ordered a bottle of wine to pre-party. Each holds a glass in her hand, enjoying the taste and the careless feeling it brings along.
Perrie watches as Jade applies makeup to her face by the vanity table. Her movements are delicate and graceful, simply perfect. Perrie is wearing a smile as Jade locks gazes with the blonde every few minutes through the mirror.

"Do you want to come as well?" Jade asks Perrie, turning around to face her. She carefully applies red lipstick on, and it almost feels like she is teasing Perrie.
"Leigh-Anne said she's going to stay here," Perrie replies, not taking her eyes off of Jade. "So I think we will have our own little sleepover, or maybe I will just go to bed early. I'm actually quite tired."
"Alright," Jade says with a friendly nod. She checks her makeup at the mirror, and when she is satisfied, she stands up with the glass of wine in her hand and goes to sit next to Perrie on the bed. Perrie lays her hand on Jade's thigh and sends her a genuine smile. Jade's skin rises with goosebumps at the touch, and she finds herself needing to focus in order to keep breathing regularly. Perrie senses it, then lays her head on Jade's shoulder, making the brunette's heart beat faster.
"I love how you took me by the hand today," Perrie says.
"My pleasure," Jade replies with a smile. "You are so pretty today," she continues, knowing very well she should stop speaking right now but blaming her refusion to do so on being buzzed. "I've been trying really hard to not want to be close to you all day. To stop wanting to kiss you." Jade's own words intimidate her, as she has never spoken about this subject so directly before.
"I should probably go, then," Perrie says, a bit of sadness in her voice. She disconnects their touch and stands up. Jade wants to say anything that will stop her; Perrie should not already be leaving to her own room, Jade has at least thirty minutes before she meets up with Jesy. They can spend more time together. However, Jade does not say any of these things. Instead, she tells herself that tonight, like that night in Sweden, will be nothing but an exception. No one needs to know, therefore there will not be any consequences. She holds onto these thoughts as she stands up as well, a bit too close to Perrie. She leans towards her and connects their lips.
Perrie’s lips taste like wine and lipstick, and Jade finds herself not wanting this moment to ever end. Perrie's kiss is like heaven to Jade, it feels so considerate and soft, the way the brunette had only been kissed once before, in Sweden. They explore the kiss, smiling into it every few seconds.
Jade decides to stop fearing, just for tonight, and kisses the Perrie’s jaw, then her neck. The blonde giggles at the touch while enjoying it. Jade barely leaves any marks, as she is not completely sure of her own actions. It is so different from everything she knows. When Jade is done laying soft kisses all the way down to Perrie’s collarbone, Perrie places her hands on Jade's shoulders, and gets a hold of the straps of her white dress.
"Can I?" She asks, slightly out of breath. Jade, Jesy, Perrie and Leigh-Anne are used to see each other's bodies without any cover. When they do quick changes on tour or share a dressing room it is just unavoidable. Tonight, though, is different. Perrie had never undressed Jade, neither did she look at Jade's body that same way she looks at it now.
"Yes," Jade replies, leaning in to kiss Perrie’s lips again. Whilst doing so, Perrie slips off the straps of Jade's loose dress, and it drops to the brunette's feet. The blonde stops the kiss for a moment, takes her head back and appreciates the sight in front of her. She smiles, her jaw dropping a bit, at Jade's black bra and matching pants. She runs her hands on Jade's back while returning the same gentle kisses on the neck she had received earlier. Jade wraps her arms around her bandmate, then uses them to unzip the top Perrie is wearing. She slowly does so, taking in each and every moment of pleasure.

Just when she is about to slide the white top off of Perrie’s body, Jade's phone rings on the vanity table. Her first instinct is to ignore it and continue her actions, though then she understands that Jesy is probably already waiting for her; she had promised to come.
"We should stop," Jade quietly says as Perrie keeps sweetly kissing her neck and collarbone. "I need to go, Jesy is waiting," she continues with a shaky voice. Perrie takes her lips off of Jade's body and looks up at the brunette.
"I was having fun," Perrie replies with a short laugh. She does not try to make Jade stay a bit more, as she knows that would wil not work. Instead, the blonde slightly turns around, silently asking Jade to zip up her top. Jade does so, then slides her own dress back up.
"You should probably cover that before you go," Perrie says and giggles. Jade seems a bit confused until she gets to the vanity table, looking at herself in the mirror. Her lipstick is smudged, which will not be a problem but to fix right away, but her neck is covered with a few red, slightly purple marks. She picks up a few makeup products from the table and tries covering it up, her movements fast as she is in a hurry.
"Pez, we've got work tomorrow," Jade says while making sure through the mirror that no bruises are visible on her neck.
"I know," Perrie replies and goes to stand behind Jade. "I was gentle on you," she whispers in Jade's ear. Jade smiles in response, feeling flattered. It has been so long since she last took someone's clothes off in a non innocent way.
"I really need to go now," she says as her phone rings again. She then kisses Perrie’s cheek and shares a smile with her. "I'll see you in the morning, nanite." With these words she leaves the room, rushing to the elevator and swiftly going down to the hotel lobby. Getting there, she says she did not notice the time while getting ready so this is the reason why she was late. Jesy seems quite excited and happy, and does not question Jade further as they go into the cab.
"Jake is here to play a show tomorrow with Rixton," Jesy says while the car is moving. "And I think you two should talk, he's got something to tell you."
"Sure," Jade lightheartedly replies. She is good friends with Jesy's fiancé, and a conversation with him seems pleasant, as she has not seen him since the proposal. The two women chat about Los Angeles, their upcoming Teen Choice Awards performance and the offer to play with Taylor Swift. The ride is shortly over and they step into a bar, which has a small performance stage. By the posters, Jade realizes that a band she does not know will be playing here tonight. Jesy and her meet Jake inside as they are sitting at the bar, and after greeting, Jesy reveals the reason why she wanted her bandmate and fiancé to talk.
"Jade has been single for a while," Jesy says and gesture her hands at Jade. "And she needs a man. And Jake," she gestures her hands at her fiancé. "Has lots of great friends that are men. So Jade, you are going to tell him what you're looking for, and Jake is going to find you a match. Good luck!" Jesy leaves to a different area of the bar before Jade has time to say anything in response. Yes, she does want a man, but it feels so wrong after kissing Perrie tonight. However, she cannot reveal any of this to anyone, so she must play along tonight.
"So, what is it you're looking for?" Jake asks, watching Jade.
"Um," she mumbles, not sure how to reply. "I want someone who is like, really hot. You know a great bum is always a bonus," she playfully says and laughs. "A talent would be nice, I like talented people. Just someone who lights up every room they walk into, that can make me laugh whenever I'm down. And they need to be passionate about what they do, that would be great. I want someone who also supports me, and has faith in me and in what I do."
"Sounds great," Jake replies with a smile. "I've got someone perfect for you."
"Who is it?" Jade asks, expressing real interest in the match for the first time tonight.
"A friend of mine. He is awesome, really. Very nice, really into music. He's in a band, plays the bass," Jake informs her. "I thought you two would look good together. He is playing tonight with his band, you should take a look."
"I will," Jade promises. Jesy comes back, and the next hour passes with the three of them laughing and enjoying the night. Once the band takes the stage, Jade, Jake and Jesy all go to watch them. They are standing at the front row, but at the far left, watching the performance. Jade spots the bassist quite fast and checks him out.
She comes to the conclusion that he is alright. She likes his figure and his vibe, though he could use a haircut. Regardless of her first impression, she needs to give him a chance. Maybe this is why she has been single for so long, she is just too picky. So that is why she agrees to meet the band backstage, with Jesy and Jake, once the performance is over.
"Jade, this is Jed," Jake introduces them. "And Jed, this is Jade. She is in a band as well, a girl group. You two should talk," he says and leaves. Jade finds herself getting nervous. She has not prepared anything to say, and it does not come natural at a first meeting.
"I liked your performance," she finally says, saving them both from awkward silence.
"Thanks," Jed replies with a friendly smile. "Are you into rock? What kind of music do you girls make?"
"Yeah, I love rock." Jade lies, feeling like she should do so so he would like her. "But we make Pop music, a bit of R&B. Have you heard of Little Mix?"
"Not yet," Jed replies with a short laugh. "So what are you guys doing out here in America? Touring?"
"Yeah, more like a promotional tour. It's exhausting, honestly. But I love it," Jade says and smiles. The idle conversation continues, and Jade is a bit bored and disappointed. She is not sure why she is disappointed, though. Jed seems like a really nice guy, he has got a cool look, passionate about his music, and he listens and asks questions when she speaks. Just what she asks for. It is only when Jed has to go back to the hotel when Jade realizes she had been describing Perrie earlier, when Jake asked what she was looking for. She described the things she loves most about her bandmate. Then, Jade reminds herself that Perrie and her have no future. Tonight was a slip, so did that night is Sweden, nothing is serious. She should not expect anything more, she needs to find a man that will make her forget all of these thoughts she has towards Perrie.
"I'll see you sometime," Jed says and grabs the case of his bass guitar.
"Yeah. Maybe we should hang out," Jade replies, cringing at her own words.
"I'm not really interested," Jed says. "If you mean like, as more than friends." It takes a moment for Jade to actually understand the words she is told.
"Oh, it's okay. No worries," she replies and receives a smile from Jed as he leaves. During the ride back to the hotel with Jake and Jesy, Jade tries her best to feel disappointed over the fact that she was rejected, but is unable to do so. The only thing she is disappointed with is the fact that she stopped her actions with Perrie in order to meet with a guy she does not really like.

A World Forgotten
***This story will contain lite-litrpg elements, mainly character pages and a town page. There will also be settlement building and adventuring, missteps and achievements. But one thing it definitely won’t have is a harem. Nor will it have an overpowered MC. Contains mild cursing.*** ***feel free to critique my writing and offer input. This is my first venture into writing. I've always enjoyed litrpg/gamelit books. I feel like I write how I talk, so it may be a little different. You won't hurt my feelings if you see something wrong or out of place! *** ***What follows is a condensed part of chapter 1. Enjoy!*** Drew Cooper is thrust into a new, unfamiliar world. Waking up in his sweats and t-shirt near what seems to be a forgotten path through some woods, he struggles coming to terms that he's no longer in his apartment. As he tries to cope with his new reality, he hears a horse coming down the path. He hides behind a nearby tree dreading what may happen next. As the horse approaches, he sees a man walking next to it. The horse is burdened with packs and gear. When the man nears, Drew nearly panics. He has a large sword strapped to his waist, obviously a fighter. He continues to hide as the man slowly passes only for the man to stop a dozen meters past his hiding spot. "You may as well come out, ya know. You weren't as well hidden as you thought," the man stated matter-of-factly, letting the horse’s reins go and putting his hand on the hilt of his sword. Slowly and scared for his life, Drew raised up and walked from behind the tree. "I-I'm sorry. I wasn't planning on attacking you. I-I don't know where I am. I heard your horse and hid. I didn't know what you'd do if you saw me. I'm sorry," he nervously blurted out. A minute passed. Then two. The man seemed interested with Drew and stepped closer, eyes squinting as if trying to see something. "What's that on your shirt? Is that. What is that? Is that, Pac-man?" The man was visibly shaken while pointing at me. Looking down at his t-shirt nervously, "Yea. Yea. I woke up here a few hours ago I think. 3 maybe 4 hours. I’ve just been sitting here. Where am I? What's going on?" Drew asked. "That's not important right now," the man replied. " What's important is where you're from. What year is it?" "What year? April something 2020. Why? What's going on?" Drew continued now worried. The man was taken aback. After a few moments, he seemed to calm himself some. The man sighed and looked at Drew in earnest. "Well, I've got good news and bad news for ya. Bad news is you're not on Earth anymore. Good news is you happened to run into me and not someone else. You’re either really lucky, or it’s fate we met in these woods, and I don’t believe in luck." The man continued to walk towards Drew while talking and put out his hand. "I'm John Mitchell from St. Louis or thereabouts. You’ve got nothing to be scared of by me. Walk with me and let’s talk."

Life, the struggle for existence
What would happen when man had to, once again, fight for its own right to live? Would the evolutionary counterparts of our ancestors manage to life through the struggle for survival? What would happen to society if a new reason for living came up, other than the enjoyment of the well-built environment? A reason that could either unite or destroy humanity. This is the struggle for their right of existence. As earth and its inhabitants are faced with the fear of unknown danger and the peril of monstrosities, some will falter, some will die and some will live on to tell the tales of those forgotten. As reality dictates, most will be part of the first two groups and only a small faction will be part of the latter. *This is my first attempt at writing fantasy, so I do hope you’ll enjoy it. The story is one of apocalyptic nature, with gigantic monsters, unfathomable powers and also a critial view on humanity and what it means to be human. I will definitely try to stay away from any tropes that are not neccesary to write fantasy, as I thoroughly despise non-creativity. There shall be no harems, no unrealistic behavior and absolutely no standard scene of dimwitted bandits that try to rob whatever similarly rock-brained princess they encounter. The main character is not black and white, because no human is completely good or completely evil. They’re human, not some idealistic concept of what one is supposed to be. Enjoy!Warning: Tagged 17+ for the occasional strong language and violence, some mild sexual content can occur in the distant future.
