《Don't Forget You're Mine || Jerrie》16

Jade is sitting comfortably at an airplane seat by the window. She is used to traveling a lot due to her work schedule, yet so far, she is not tired of the uniqueness and beauty in watching the clouds from above. There is something so relaxing in realizing how small one is, compared to the oceans and continents seen from above. It is a reminder that even though facing the challenges of life can be hard, Jade's problems are not as big and scary as she sees them; there are much greater forces. Right now, Jade's thoughts are not invested in any problem she has. She is thinking of Perrie, and how grateful she is for what they share.
Jade connects a pair of earphones of to her phone, then tucks the two ends in her ears. The flight she is currently on took off from London early this morning, and will shortly land in Sweden, where the day will be spent doing interviews and performing. Tonight, the girls will take off to Australia for a six day promotional tour.
Jade plays the new album, Get Weird, and the intro of Black Magic nakes a smile appear on her face. The album will be released on November sixth, but it is already mixed and completely done, so all of four women have it on their phones. Jade cannot wait for the fans to hear it, specially her favorite trucks, which are Lightning and I Won't at the moment. In addition to these, there is one track that means the most to her, and Jade skips the first thirteen songs on the album to play it right now.
She loved Secret Love Song Pt. II after first hearing it, just because of what it speaks of. Ever since Perrie and her got together, her love for this song grows more everyday. This song describes the challenges of their relationships so well, and it almost feels like Jade herself could have wrote this ballad, even though it was given to the girls.
"What are you listening to?" Perrie asks and taps of Jade's shoulder. She had just woken up from a nap, and is blinking frequently. Her lively blue eyes are watching Jade in the best way possible, and she is wearing a soft smile. Her blonde hairs effortlessly, yet flawlessly, fall on her shoulder and touch her white, sheer top. There is something so captivating about her, and Jade could sit here all day and simply watch her. Jade lights up her phone screen and shows it to Perrie, whose smile grows in response. "I feel like this could be our song," Jade says as she takes out one earphone and hands it over to Perrie.
Perrie places the earphone in her ear, then lays her head on Jade's shoulder. Despite the long, busy trip ahead, the sound of the engines and lack of sleep, she is completely relaxed with her girlfriend by her side. As she listens to the song, she admits that the best thing about it is that Jade got to sing the first verse, pre-chorus and chorus. Everyone always says that Jade has the head voice of an angel, but this is on a completely different level. Combined with the emotion Jade brings into it, it is perfect.
"I don't think that this is our song," Perrie quietly says. "This song is really depressing. And our story isn't sad, not at all." Jade's heart races as she wonders at the meaning of these words. Where are Perrie and her currently in this story Perrie said they have? Is it only the beginning? The middle? Or are they heading towards the end?

"I think that it represents a lot, symbolically, " Jade tells Perrie. She makes sure to memorize the weight of Perrie's head on her shoulder and the gentle touch of the tips of Perrie's hair so that she could remember those in less hopeful days. "I mean, we know our fans are very open and welcoming, and some of them are from the community as well. But we've never really had the chance to understand how the media sees this, in regards to Little Mix. If we're going to do the video for Secret Love Song Part Two, I'm sure it will be very controversial. It could go either way - for the better or for the worse. If the response is bad, so we're screwed. But if it's good, that's a really good sign. It means that one day we could maybe go ahead and tell everyone about us. When we're old and don't care anymore."
"You thought about this a lot, didn't you?" Perrie replies and laughs a little.
"Maybe," Jade says and smiles. There is a short period of silence, in which both girls simply enjoy each other's company. Jade continues to play the new album through the earphones they share, but she does not let the songs play by order. Instead, she picks out Perrie's favorites, and plays them one after another. First Lightning, then Grown and Clued Up. "I feel like something's changed between us," Jade says in a soft tone.
"I know," Perrie replies with a smile. Knowing that Jade noticed a change is the most exciting feeling. She deserves to be treated better than what Perrie has been showing her up until now.
"It's like you're... here. You really are with me," Jade says, hoping her words did justice to her feelings. It is hard to put a finger on what exactly changed, and even harder to word it correctly.
"I'm glad you feel that way," Perrie answers, slightly shifting her position and moving her head a bit, so it fits more comfortably onto Jade's shoulder.
"What changed?" Jade asks. By Perrie's response, she realized Perrie is the one who is responsible for this positive change.
"I'm not telling you," Perrie replies as she wears a playful smile.
"You're such a baby," Jade teases and laughs. "Just tell me!"
"Shh," is Perrie's only response. She closes her eyes, a smile still present on her face, and falls asleep again.
A few hours later, the four girls are sitting next to each other on three person couch. The interview they are about to do is already off to a good start, since they were each given a soft blanket to cuddle with. Perrie sits on the far right while Jade is sitting on the far left, in order to make sure that they do not accidentally touch in a way that seems too affectionate.
"Hi girls!" The interviewer says into the microphone, and Jade returns an excited hi! in response. "I thought, why don't you hand over the mic, to each one of you, and give a little presentation of yourself and something we don't know about you. So you can start," the interviewer continues as she looks at Jade.
"Ah, okay!" Jade replies, and the camera is pointed at her. "My name is Jade Amelia Thirlwall, I am a quarter of Little Mix, which I love. And I... don't know how to burp. Never burped in my life. Sorry 'bout it." Jesy and Perrie comment on that before the microphone is passed over to Jesy.

"Hello, people of the world. I am Jessica Louise Nelson, and I don't know my left and my right. Thank you." Jesy states.
"I don't have one!" Perrie says as the microphone is passed on to Leigh-Anne.
"Hi! I'm Leigh-Anne Pinncok from Little Mix, and one thing you might not know about me is that I used to be in a cheerleading squad that me and my friends made in primary school. And it was a lot of fun," Leigh-Anne tells the camera and passes the microphone to Perrie.
"Hello, I am Perrie Louise Edwards from Little Mix, and I don't have an interesting fact right now," Perrie says with a smile.
"Just come up with something! Come on," Leigh-Anne tells Perrie.
"I literally don't have anything," Perrie replies.
"Something nobody knows..." Jade says, and Perrie cannot decide whether her tone is implying anything. Perrie is now able to think of only one thing that nobody knows, but definitely is not going to say that one. After a suggestion from the interviewer, Jade speaks again. "You can burp the alphabet."
This reminds Perrie of that night Jade and her went to Steam & Rye. They both had too much alcohol, but Perrie has always known that she is rather sensitive to it, she gets properly drunk faster than most people. After bad experience as a teenager, she had decided to avoid alcohol for a few years, because she knows how quickly after just a few drinks she loses control. So she does not remember all of that night in the London club, due to the amount of alcohol she consumed, but definitely remembers most of it. She now remembers burping the alphabet as Jade's eyes were playfully watching her. Her thoughts come back to the interview, and Perrie is quick to deny her ability to perform such skill.
"She can, but we're not going to do it today," Jesy says, then passes the microphone back to Jade.
"Not today, Satan. Not today," Jade says. The interview continues, and this is when Perrie is hit with the worst memory of that night. She thought that nothing bad happened, because when she woke up with an awful headache, there were no angry texts from anyone. However, she now clearly remembers Jade telling Jake that 'Jerrie is real'. She is worried about how Jake took this. Did he see it as a joke? Or does he actually think it is real? Perrie can trust Jake, but every person who knows about her secret relationship could potentially ruin everything. She needs to talk about this with Jesy, ask what Jake's thoughts are.
The interviewer presents a game in which she will give out definitions, and the girls will have to say which one of them falls under this definition. The game is fairly entertaining and harmless, until the interviewer asks which one of the girls is the 'maneater'.
Everything instantly turns awkward. How are they supposed to answer this question? Jesy and Leigh-Anne are both in long term relationships right now, so they are already out, which leaves Jade and Perrie. These two - well, in their current situation, none of them exactly falls under the definition of 'maneater'.
"Jade! You're a maneater!" Leigh-Anne calls, trying to save everyone by casually giving the expected answer. Up until recently, Jade has been single for a while, and she would always talk about wanting to find someone. This is why this answer would make sense to the fans.
"Oh, because I'm single apparently I'm the maneater. Okay, okay," Jade says, trying to move on from this question as fast as possible.
"What's a maneater?" Perrie asks, genuinely confused.
"That loves a bit of a man," Leigh-Anne answers her.
"A bit of a shlag," Jade explains. Never in a million years would Perrie want her girlfriend to be called a shlag, not even by herself, and she cannot hide her surprise. Luckily, she catches herself quickly and plays it off.
"No, but... Obviously because Jade's single," Leigh-Anne tries explaining. It is a bit off, because everyone found out months ago that Perrie is single as well. It is too late to take her words back, and everyone goes along with her. Jesy stays silent, shifting her gaze back and forth from Perrie to Leigh-Anne.
"Are you trying to say I get about? Because I really don't," Jade says, and her three bandmates awkwardly giggle.
"No, you don't!" Leigh-Anne is quick to correct herself. "That's... Oh God, I don't know."
"I'll take one for the team, I'll be the maneater," Jade answers, more ready than ever to end this discussion.
Only a few minutes later, when the interview is over and cameras are off, nervousness takes over Jade. The four women make their way out of the room, looking for their team to guide them to their van and next destination, when Jade excuses herself to the bathroom. Her steps are big as she makes sure to look down, in order to avoid anyone seeing the pain in her eyes. She gets to the bathroom, and stands by the sink, watching the tears go down her cheeks through the mirror. She knows that she should not be so nervous because of such little thing - this was nothing but a meaningless question and an awkward answer. If the fans will notice anything, the girls will just blame their behavior on being tired. There is no real danger, yet Jade cannot control the tears.
"Babe?" Perrie's voice is heard as Jade sees hee enter the bathroom. Jade shuts her eyes and grips the edges of the sink tightly. She does not want to be in this scenario, she wants to simply disappear, because how is she supposed to explain Perrie why she is nervous when she does not know herself? "Baby, what happened?" Perrie worriedly asks. She uses her hands to disconnect Jade's grip on the sink, then takes her hands and places them in her own. "Is it because of that question? I know you're not a shlag or anything like that, please don't be sad." Perrie says, trying her best to stop things from getting worse.
"It's the question, but it's not about that," Jade replies, stopping in between words to steady her breath.
"What is it, then?" Perrie questions as she looks at the heartbreaking sight in front of her. Jade's eyes are nervously looking around the room, switching their focus every few seconds and avoiding Perrie's gaze. Tears are still coming down from them, and it is difficult for Perrie to see. Her grip on Perrie's hands becomes more forceful by the moment, and Perrie's palms begin to hurt. "Jade, please, look at me," Perrie says and pulls her hands out of Jade's grip. She cups Jade's face in her hands, and her touch brings Jade much needed comfort. "Now, take a deep breath and tell me what's wrong." Jade does as she is told, inhales and exhales, but it is no use.
"I don't know why, I'm just stressed out," Jade replies. Perrie sees that Jade still has trouble controlling her breathing, so she takes deep breaths herself, so Jade could mimic the motions and rhythm. It seems to be working, as the moments pass and Jade's eyes are no longer shedding tears and she is finally able to arrange her thoughts. "I think that this is too much pressure. I can't pretend all the time. I can hold myself from touching you, I can hold in things I want to say to you, but I can't keep pretending that I am the same person I was two months ago. I just can't do that."
"It's a lot of pressure, I understand," Perrie replies, moving her hands down to Jade's waist. Her words are nothing but the truth; there is no one who could possibly understand what Jade is going through better than her, since she goes through the same exact thing. "We're in this together, you and I. When I went through one of the hardest times of my life, you were there. Now I'm here for you, always, alright?" Jade nods her head, and she feels as though she could burst into tears again just because of how beautiful Perrie's words are.
"I'm so scared of hiding, Pez. We get asked questions like this all the time. I can't just go and cry every time, this isn't going to work. Every little thing could go wrong, one slip and the secret's out. What if hadn't made it clear that I'm single? What if I didn't know how to act? I'm so stressed out," Jade repeats. "I don't want this - us - to be so complicated. I just want to have you. I can't answer all of these questions about boys and pretend to be interested. It's too much."
"We can try out what Jesy suggested, do you want to do that?" Perrie asks, already desperate to see Jade smile. "We can show everyone that we l- that we have each other. That we're more than just friends, and act like it. We'll be so over the top, no one will ever suspect. The rumors are just going to stay rumors, that's it. We can try that, maybe that will be easier."
"Okay," Jade agrees. She sniffles as Perrie offers her a tissue from one of the stalls, and uses it to wipe her eyes of tears.
"Alright, then," Perrie replies. She adds an understanding, loving smile at the end of her words then pulls Jade into a hug.
×××
"I've never liked this part," Jade says, her voice weak as she had just woken up from her sleep. The plane lowers itself, coming closer and closer to the ground, and Jade's ears are bugging her as well as her feet, which are more ready than ever to walk after spending more than an entire calendar day traveling.
"I know," Perrie tells her with a comforting smile as she takes Jade's hand in hers. Minutes later, the plane is safely on the ground, and the passengers are allowed off of the plane. Jade and Perrie both grab their handbags, and as they join Leigh-Anne and Jesy on the way inside the airport, Jade also carries her green Parka coat. While they are waiting for their suitcases to arrive on the conveyor, Perrie runs her hand up and down of Jade's back. Jade always says her muscles ache after long flights, so Perrie tries to make the discomfort as bearable as possible.
When Perrie spots the familiar suitcases, she leaves Jade's side and walks over to the conveyor, getting a luggage cart in the process. She quickly pulls her silver suitcase onto the cart, and then waits a few extra moments for Jade's black suitcase to arrive. When it finally does, Perrie places it on top of her silver one, and walks back towards a very tired Jade.
"Are Jesy and Leigh ready to leave?" Perrie asks, scanning the people in the hall in search of her bandmates.
"Yeah, I just saw them," Jade replies. "So let me get my suitcase first, then we're ready to go." In response, Perrie takes Jade's coat and handbag from her hands, and places both on the cart as well.
"It's okay, I already got it for you," she says and smiles. Jade looks down at the luggage cart, and immediately spots her own suitcase on top. She feels too jet lagged to think, yet once again, she wonders what changed. Perrie is finally seriously in this relationship. It is the little things that make it most noticeable.
"I can carry my own bags, you know," Jade tells Perrie and sends her an amused smile.
"I'm pretty sure I'm allowed to carry my girlfriend's bags for her," Perrie quietly replies and returns the same expression. They find Leigh-Anne and Jesy, and soon after all four women are met with many excited fans at the airport. The walk outside is short, but there is no better way to be welcomed. Perrie walks fourth, led by her three bandmates, and when they are already on the van, she gladly accepts all kinds of sweets fans hand her.
Forty minutes later, when they get to the hotel, Jade and Perrie naturally go to Perrie's room. They both had a good sleep on the plane, but traveling itself is exhausting and they feel tired. It is currently evening, and the they only start working tomorrow, but neither of them has the energy to go out and explore.

I'll be writing randomly, attenmpting to forge a storyline from my own sweat, determination, and creativity. It's loosely based on some Wuxia/Xuanhuan fictions I've read. It will have elements of human physiology, psychology, environmental science, nature vs man, man vs nature, human nature vs humanity, etc. This story is mean to be a work of fiction. It encompasses some of my views on morality. It will have corruption, foul-language, ignorance, racism. It will glean a bright world with imagination fused with the dark shadows for some to seek refuge. Though, in the world I will be creating... Refuge comes at a cost. A steep one. That is the Way of the World. The way of my world.Need cover art plz
