August Walker x Reader
⚠️Warnings: Mention of Character Death
August Walker. Just saying the name makes you smile. So say it again.
August Walker.
"I'm all packed and ready to go!" Walker calls out. You sulk out of the bedroom, wearing one of his button ups and your underwear.
"Do you have to go?" You whine, leaning against the wall.
"They call, I come." You sigh and walk towards him.
"I don't want you to."
"You never want me to. It'll be alright." He takes your hands.
"But what if it's not?"
"Then we have our backup plan." You turn away from his gaze, hating the idea of using the backup plan. He turns your head towards him. "It'll be alright my love." You sigh.
"But I was going to make breakfast... And then give you dessert."
"I like the sound of that. I would love to."
"It'll be quick." August laughs.
"You and I both know I don't know the meaning of quick. I love to take my sweet time with you." he kisses your neck and the car horn honks.
"Ugh! He's coming!" You yell out. "Go before they get mad." He presses a kiss to your lips and you wrap your arms around him, returning the kiss, his mustache tickling your face.
"I love you." He says once he pulls away.
"I love you." He picks up his bag and you follow him to the door and watch him as he gets into the car and is driven off. You sigh and shut the door.
Whenever he leaves like this, you can't help but think about how the two of you met.
As you down another shot in a bar in London, you hear this velvet voice speak to you.

"Buy you another?" He sits on the stool next to you.
"Buy four. Two for me, two for you."
"Deal." The man with huge muscles and an uptight demeanor, orders four more drinks. "So what brings you to London?"
"Work. I'm in fashion. You?"
"Vacation."
"What do you do for a living?"
"I'm a bodyguard." You quickly look over and see his muscles bulging out of his shirt as if to rip through any minute. Your eyes narrow.
"Really? And who do you bodyguard?"
"Anyone really. They call, I come."
"You're lying."
"Excuse me?"
"You're lying about what you do. That's fine, you don't have to tell me. But clearly your job requires you to lie about what you actually do. So that means you're either a criminal, a stripper, a porn star or you work for the government."
"I'm all of the above." He says with a laugh. "I'm a criminal recruited by the government and I'm currently undercover as a stripper that works as a porn star on the side." You laugh.
"I'll accept that. I'm Y/N."
"Walker. August Walker."
After you fix a meal for one, you go outside and sit on the back porch with a cup of coffee. You curl your legs up to your knees and look down at your phone. Nothing.
"How about that one?" Walker points out a man as the two of you sit outside a coffee shop.
"What about that one?"
"Do you find him attractive?"
"Auggie, why would you ask me that?"
"Just answer the question. Is he attractive or not?"
"Compared to you? Absolutely not."
"I mean in general." He rolls his eyes.
"Still no."

"How about him?"
"No. Now would you tell me what's wrong?" He sighs.
"You know my work is dangerous." You nod. "I just... I don't want you to be alone in case... in case I don't come back." You shake your head profusely.
"I don't even want to think about that."
"Love, you have to. I know I do."
"But I don't want anyone else but you. You're it for me."
"Look, I'm not saying you have to date the guy. Just have a male companion. A backup plan. That's all."
"You're really serious about this?" He nods.
"Fine." You sigh.
You look down at your phone.
"Nope." You toss the idea out of your head and go back inside.
~
Days have passed and you're still waiting for him. You got a call from him yesterday so you know he's alright. But still. You want to know when he's coming home.
You drop your work bag on the counter.
"Auggie? You home?" No answer. You sigh and flop down on the couch. "Ugh. I wish you would just call." As if on cue, the phone rings. You look down at the phone and it's a number you don't recognize. "Auggie?" You answer.
"No. This is Erica Sloane." You know of her. She's August's boss. "Is this a good time?"
"Is August alright?" She sighs. "Where is he?"
"He didn't make it." Your heart drops to the floor like an elevator without strings.
"Wh—What do you mean he didn't make it?"
"There was an accident while he was on the job." Your hand covers your mouth to stifle back the sobs. "I'm sorry but there's no body either." That's it. Screw the hand. Your cries hit you full force. "August was a good agent. I'm sorry for your loss." She hangs up the phone. For the sake of your feelings, Erica wouldn't dare tell you that he was a Rogue Agent that was going to die either way.
Your phone slides down your face and onto the couch. Your body is shaking as cries pour out of your mouth. You can barely breath. On the side table next to the couch, there's a picture collage of you and August in front of Eiffel Tower.
"Hold still Auggie!" You laugh. "This lady probably has better things to do rather than stand here and try to take our picture."
"I can't help it. You just look so good." he squeezes your butt.
"August Walker! Not in public."
"I love it when you call my by my full name."
"Can we please take this picture?" You whine.
"Alright, alright. We're ready." He says to the woman holding your phone. He pulls you close, wrapping his arms around your waist and he presses a warm kiss to your cheek. You take a few more pictures before getting your phone back. "I love you." He whispers in your ear.
"Yeah?"
"Yeah. I love you." You smile.
"I love you too." The two of you kiss and his mustache tickles you. "Look at us. We're telling each other we love each other for the first time in front of the Eiffel Tower."
"We're such sappy romantics."
You pick up your phone and click the contact name 'Backup Plan.'
"Hey Y/N. Is everything ok?"
You take a shaky breath.

The yuri/GL Is an extremely slow burn one and the focus is more on the relationship dynamics than romance. =====Author Notes===== This is my first writing attempt, and in the spirit of full disclosure, I am not a native English speaker and I am hoping to use this chance to improve my writing. Constructive criticisms are always welcome. I have a full-time job but I would try to keep the releases consistent.
