《ex | changlix》26

school came around and felix avoided changbin at all costs. the other boys questioned what had happened to felix, but both changbin and felix were quick to silence them.
felix didn't want to talk about what happened in the cafeteria, and he certainly didn't want to talk about what happened between him and changbin.
even though changbin hurt felix, felix still felt compelled to the boy. he hated ignoring him, but he knew it was for the best.
the group sat at lunch, all actively trying to not allow silence to fall in order to avoid any awkward tension.
"so you two are in biology together right?" seungmin asked hyunjin and changbin. the two boys nodded in response.
"is it true you're going on an overnight trip for some experiment?"
"yeah, it is." hyunjin responded.
felix picked his head up from the food he was playing with and listened in on the conversation.
"lucky, i wish i was in your class." seungmin rolled his eyes.
"not lucky, i have to get assigned to a room randomly with someone from our class." changbin groaned as he threw his head back in annoyance.
"actually i spoke to mr. lee and he said you and i can room together." hyunjin admitted shyly.
felixs head immediately began to sulk again. chan noticed how upset felix seemed, he wished he knew how to comfort the boy.
"hey sunshine, is something wrong?" chan whispered into the boys ear. changbin noticed this and immediately felt his anger rise, but it quickly subsided and turned into saddness.
i wish i could allow myself to be happy like my mom said...
"im fine." felix responded softly to chan.
"i don't believe you." chan responded, but felix was very adamant about his answer.

the rest of the lunch period went by rather slowly. felix hadn't touched his food at all and the other boys surely took note of this.
they all silently agreed jisung should be the one to speak to felix.
"hey lix," jisung said cheerfully as he walked beside the boy when exiting the cafeteria.
"hey," felix responded. he was smiling, but something still seemed off to jisung.
"want a brownie? i had an extra from lunch." jisung offered, but felix shook his head.
"no, i already ate. thanks though!" felix continued to smile.
"felix... i watched you, you didn't eat." jisung frowned.
"oh... i didn't mean right now... i meant i ate breakfast." felix said nervously.
"you never eat breakfast." jisungs eyebrows furrowed as the boy kept lying to him.
"today i did, which is why i couldn't eat lunch. i ate at an abnormal time for myself. i won't do that tomorrow though. i'll eat at lunch just to prove to you that i'm fine." felix stated as he skipped off towards his class, clinging on to chan as he did so.
"so what's he say?" changbin asked, startling jisung a bit.
"jeez bin..." jisung gasped, "why do you care so much? you've been ignoring him all day."
"he's been ignoring me too!" changbin claimed.
"what happened between you two after you guys left together yesterday?" hiding questioned.
"uh— it doesn't matter jisung. it's felixs business and mine too i guess, but no one else's." changbin angrily walked off as he felt the defeat wash over him.
he knows he's in the wrong, yet he continues to dig a deeper grave for himself.
"you okay sungie?" minho asked as he rubbed his boyfriends back on their walk to class.

"somethings wrong with felix, and changbin is acting so strange!" jisung flailed his arms dramatically.
"i know angel, but there's not much you can do until the two of them start being honest." minho soothed the boy.
"why are they lying to me? i thought i was close with them?" jisung pouted.
"changbin doesn't want to admit he still has feelings for lixie and well felix... felix doesn't want us to worry." minho shrugged with a disheartened smile.
"how do you know that?" jisung asked curiously.
"im good at reading people, just trust me ji... they'll both come around eventually." minho kissed the top of jisungs head, but the boy was still stressing over it.
"what if felix doesn't... what if he takes it too far and by then it'll be too late?" jisung asked worriedly.
"please don't think that way jisung. let's just hope felix will open up to someone soon." minho sighed as he and jisung walked into their class.
however, jisung wasnt the only one thinking that way. each boy was thinking it at least a little bit. they were all worried about felix, they wanted to do something before it was too late.
