changbin was in his final class of the day, not that he'd even really know that though since he was sleeping during majority of it.

the only thing that woke the boy up was the alarm sounding to signal the end of the class.

changbin immediately jolted up and began gathering his things to leave.

he rushed out the door, but before he could leave, his teacher called him back in.

"where do you think you're going?" his teacher, mr. ji, asked him.

"to see felix at the hospital!" changbin stated as he went to run off again, but his teacher grabbed ahold of his backpack to stop him.

"not so fast," mr. ji said, "you slept through my entire class. do you know what this means?"

"you're going to reccomend i get on a better sleep schedule?" changbin asked hopefully.

"not a chance! it means dentition. now." his teacher said sternly.

changbin let out a heavy sigh, knowing there was no way to fight his punishment.

"but felix—"

"felix can wait." mr. ji stated, knowing about the boys current condition, and continued to be rather insensitive.

"changbin, you're not coming?" jeongin asked as he walked passed.

"your friend here has detention." mr. ji explained.

"detention?" minho questioned.

"for sleeping in class..." changbin admitted, feeling rather embarrassed.

"ahh... well we will see you at the hospital after then. we're all going besides... well besides chan." minho explained.

"at least he won't be there." changbin said as he let out a breath of relief.

"i thought you two were friends?" mr. ji questioned.

"uh— let's just get this detention over with." changbin sighed as he headed into the room with his head down and a sulky expression on his face.

while changbin sat in detention, his thoughts being the only things to entertain him in that boring room, the rest of his friends were at the hospital with felix.

minho and jisung were playing some card game while hyunjin and jeongin sat at felixs bedside explaining what happened to changbin.

seungmin on the other hand just sat in the corner observing the room. not that he would admit it, but he missed having chan around.

he knows what the boy did wasnt right, but still, apart of seungmin felt the friend group was incomplete without chan around.

as hyunjin and jeongin were speaking to felixs unresponsive body, someyhing began to change about the boy...

"guys..." jeongin spoke up, "guys i think he's waking up! get the nurse!" jeongin shouted, and immediately jisung went running out of the room.

"oou changbin's gonna be mad." seungmin stifled a small laugh.

jisung then returned with the nurse as they all watched felixs eyes slowly flutter open.

the nurse checked on the boy as all the others watched, impatiently waiting to speak to their friend for the first time in over a week.

"here's some water, your throat may feel a little dry right now." the sweet nurse explained to felix.

"where's my grandma?" felix asked with a raspy voice to the boys in the room with him.

"IM RIGHT HERE MY BABY!" she came rushing into the room with nurse chae at her side.

"slow down jisoo, you can't go crazy!" nurse chae laughed a bit as she said this.

"hi mimi," felix smiled weakly at her, watching tears trickle down her cheeks.

"never ever try leaving me again!" she slapped the boys arm playfully.

"i won't, i'm sorry mimi." felix frowned as he felt her arms wrap around him.

"don't be sorry, i know it isnt your fault." she said sweetly, "please just talk to me... or someone... next time you're feeling down like that."

"i will, i promise." felix said to her.

"good," his grandmother looked at all of felixs friends staring at the two of them, "i'll leave you boys to talk now."

and with that she left the room and the rest of the boys attacked felix in a big group hug.

while felix loved having their affection, he felt something was missing. more like soemone, two someone's.

"no chan?" felix asked, and minho just shook his head no.

felix didn't even bother asking about changbin. he figured the boy hadn't been there the entire time he was hospitalized. changbin had made it pretty clear to felix that they were better off without eachother, and now seemed to be no different.

"did you want chan here?" seungmin asked.

"i don't know," felix shrugged, "did he tell you what happened... b-before i— before the incident?"

"sort of... but it's not true felix. we all love you so much, and so does chan. he just wasn't thinking clearly." jisung explained to the latter, and all felix could do was nod in response. he had no energy to do anything else.

"h-how long was i out for?" felix asked worriedly.

"ten days." jeongin said with a sad expression on his face.

"im sorry i wasn't there for you lix." jeongin felt guilty in a sense for what happened to felix.

"don't be sorry, this isn't your fault innie." felix smiled at the latter.

"oh changbin said he's on his way now, i just told him felix woke up." hyunjin spoke up with a smile. no one thought much of it, besides felix.

"why is he coming? i don't want him here." felix said sternly.

"what?" hyunjin questioned.

"he doesn't care about me, why would i want him here with me?" felix responded with annoyance.

"felix, i don't think—" jisung began to speak, but felix cut him off.

"he made it clear we're not meant to be, so why would he try to act like he cares now?" felix questioned angrily.

"i don't think it's an act..." jeongin mumbled.

"what?"

"it's not an act felix," jeongin spoke which made felix actually listen, "he came here every single day. the only reason he isn't here now is because he got detention for falling asleep in a class he wasn't even planning on attending today. he wanted to stay here all day with you."

before felix could respond, another person came walking into the room.

the door creaked slightly and all heads turned to see who was entering.

"what the fuck are you doing here?" a voice behind the person who had just entered asked.

"i needed to see felix."
